Karma is identity, the sense of self as you call it.

Sense of self definitely affects political stance. But everyone isn’t super self centered so it’s not something that explains everything

That's not true, well being isn't priority of humans otherwise there wouldn't be self-destructive behaviors.

The absolute priority of human's ego is survival, conservation of the self in general.

Well being is a symbol of survival yes but it's not survival in itself, The gap is the reason why people have behaviors that seem irrational from the outside, even from their conscious point of view; because unconsciously their behavior allows them to survive; they are not sure of surviving in any other state even of "happiness" and they are so attached to survival that they will choose the state of not happiness.

This is the tragedy of the human ego, which makes people allow themselves to be exploited, belittled in various ways, and to exhibit neurotic behavior in general.

Maybe you are right. But well being and survival is closely linked. Neuroticism causes suffering but it can be seen that it has the ultimate goal of leading to more well being, someone might feel like obsessing over something “helps” them keep control of it: make it survive

Yes.

I wanted to say that spirituality is ultimately not so non-normie after all, eheh, and above all that it is an object of choice for our neurotic part; like all scrupulous subjects (religions, nutrition, politics...).

I'm not saying that we shouldn't be interested in these subjects "because otherwise it's neurotic"; I'm saying that they are fertile ground.

When I watch a sad movie, when I don't have access to my Paris Brest, when I learned about the implementation of a boring age verification system for pornographic sites in France.
Negative affects 😾

There’s different branches of spirituality that are more or less mainstream

It feels like most of us have undiagnosed attention deficit disorder and depressive mood (there is a comorbidity between the two); so instead of having a normal life we protect ourselves by locking ourselves in the forum or certain problems; and in the top of the pyramid there is Leo who is kind but also dysthymic; He is not sociable, revolves around neurotic ideas like "the truth" and has even developed chronic fatigue.

I want to feel frequencies where I am happier and without attention problems, and I have looked at the thing in all directions I do not see how approaching these frequencies would not lead to disengagement from this forum but also to "personal development" in general.

Because there's no longer any need for "personal development" when you no longer have mood problems; you naturally go somewhere.
It's like "Looksmaxxing" lol; taking care of yourself is normal for most people, but when you're neurotic, hygiene, dressing well, etc. become something special.

I had a similar feeling from a while back, i didn't think there is some exact disorder, but i felt there there is a dysfunction of some sort. But this forum is a mixed bag like any other, there are all sorts of people here and one general tendency cannot be applied to all.

Some are clearly very happy it's not difficult to see, others are at different degrees of misery, and some subtle narcissists could also be seen in political discussions.

These are all judgements i know, the point is that there is no single reason or disorder that people are here, these are different kinds of people with different kinds of evolving reasons that are constantly interacting with their lives and their world, Tomorrow you can decide to quit the forum and it won't change a thing, It's just that you'll be disowning a part of you.

There is no such thing to be "clean" from all disorders. We are all in a scale. The way we grasp mental conditions IS the problem.

🏔 Spiral dynamics can be limited, or it can be unlimited if one's development is constantly reflected in its interpretation.

I think you have a point. There was a guy some months ago that wrote a post about "the trap of self improvement" in a similar way (bold marked by me). If you always need to improve, develop, you're never good enough.

I certainly used the forum more in some moods then in others. And during some times, it was a compensation for actually going out, being social.

A friend once said sth that he noticed for himself that he tend to go into spiritual stuff more when the "normal" life stuff does not go too well. It's all about figuring out stuff, creating a feeling of control. The coping might be "If I understand it, then I am in control, then all is good".

It's not black and white, and you can be active in the forum for "good" reasons (exchange, learning, entertainment). But IMO overall, to a solid degree,@Schizophoniahas a point...

Here are smart words that present my apparent identity but don't mean anything. At all.
