Pritzker said it perfectly. This isn't about crime for Trump this is about power and crushing his political rivals.   But who suffers in the end.  Crime sucks in Chicago but I don't want soldiers outside my house either.

Maybe if enough people in the country see a crazy amount of unjust arrests and attacks on protestors by the military and police happen, then there will be enough of a popular uprising against it. I hope.

I don't think Trump will have enough time to fulfill his agenda.  Luckily.  We need to ensure the proper democrat is in place.

I voted against trump, he should have been impeached every day since inauguration.

Chicago specifically? I don't think it will happen. He pulled out of L.A. and the court ruled against him in d.c. and he's complying with that.

It will disrupt local economies and waste millions of dollars, but he's not going to round up dissenters, don't worry about that.

Trumps desire is always distraction and attention, they will not do anything to fight crime aside from dealing with people attacking I.C.E..

Trump is getting the public accustomed to having military troops in the streets.  When he steals the congressional mid term elections, they will put down civil unrest.   Trump is already pushing gerrymandering in the Republican states to rig the vote.  In Texas, it takes 4 black votes to override one white vote.  If they succeed with gerrymandering, democracy is over because people will see the futility and stop voting.  Then the only option to change the government is violence.

That's what's scary.  That he is mobilizing his forces to avoid anyone from opposing.  Whats scarier is how he showed how weak he really is by changing his tune with Putin.  Well.. he never really changed tunes.  A day or two before he said he probably wouldn't change Putins mind about the war.

This is all unprecedented stuff.  Why would he care if the police chief is in charge of the police.  He doesn't need to remove the police chief's position to run the streets with the military.   The police don't need to get fired from anything for him to achieve his goals.
