Is there any point to awakening in this life?

It's tautological...Awakening is awakening for itself.. it doesn't need a reason because it's Pure Truth.   @Xonas Pitfall this one's for you.

What do you mean with "tautological"? I was writing to the this threads op, why reference to another user if I may ask? A bit confused, so just asking.

It aligns with what you are saying.  We can ascribe any meaning we want - but ultimately awakening doesn't need a reason or a meaning.  @Xonas Pitfall has spoken of tautology with regards to reality so I was actually giving reference to why Truth is in fact tautological in agreement.

Wow that surprised me! Funny thing is I feel that way about you, you were one of the people on these forums I learned from the most (I bookmarked your responses along with Leo's when I first joined) so it's an honor to hear you say that. It's also one of the reasons I got confused when Leo said nobody on the forum was really awake, YOU ARE CLEARLY SO AWAKE that it exudes in all of your posts!! Also I sent you a message I think a year ago and you never responded lol.

Well obviously I must have missed that.  😀  yeah.  That confused me too.  Leo was going through something.   Or maybe it was just part of the dream.

Yup! Tautological simply means self-referentially true. There are things that are what they are in their essence. They don't need anything "outside" or "other" to define them, or verify their truthfulness.

To show you a simple example:

  • A greenhouse is a greenhouse. (You don’t have to verify anything in this sentence, or anything outside of it, because it follows base logic: A = A.)
  • Goodness is good.
  • A circle is a circle.

Or, you can have a tautology that takes extra steps, but it’s still a tautology, like:

  • A bachelor is an unmarried man.
  • All squares have four sides.
  • A triangle has three sides.

A bachelor, by definition, is an unmarried man, so:
> An unmarried man is an unmarried man.
Squares, by definition, have four sides, so:
> All things that have four sides have four sides.

You get the point. These things might seem silly or trivial, but this is how reality works.

  1. Reality has to be all that is real, because if a thing were not real, it wouldn’t exist, or it cannot be. Hence, reality is all.
  2. All is Everything. Everything must include everything, so it cannot exclude anything outside of it.
  3. Since it includes everything, it must be one, as it contains all. This leads to solipsism.
  4. Since it is all, and I myself as a finite thing can keep including +1, +2, +3 forever, it means infinity must be included in reality. Infinity is real.
  5. Since it is all, it must be both infinite and finite; this is non-dualism.
  6. Since it is all, it must be ever-present; hence, you get omnipotence and omnipresence.
  7. And so on, so on...

As you can see, these traits and properties describe God or Reality.

Now you can just notice that there are things that are "tautological".

Goodness can only truly be good if it’s good for the purpose of being good.
Beautiful things are beautiful in and of themselves.
The most unconditional love is the love that just wants to love for the sake of being loving.

It’s like they are their own fuel, their own creator; there’s no causal effect. They are their own effect and result. This is how God functions. When you "awaken," you just realize that this is how things "are", how it must function.

Let me know if that helps!

So here are all the answers.  Other than one. Deconstruction of the self.  Have you done that yet.  Self inquiry.  For that opens all the doors to what you are saying. Great stuff.

My best advice.   Take time out of your day to just sit.  Forget about what and who you are and just sit..  Bask in that.

Its the biggest trap, because a community like this is so rare you can find yourself here for months without doing any real spiritual practice if you aren't careful. Also there are too many people who lack the proper foundation making threads masquerading as if they know what they are talking about. I mean there are people claiming to be enlightened on here who don't even know what nothingness is. In fact I think it's the biggest form of ignorance on these forum what nothingness is.

You are a selfless LACK OF APPEARANCE, that CONSTRUCTS AN APPEARANCE. But that appearance can disappear and reappear and we call that change, we call it time, we call it space, we call it distance, we call distinctness, we call it other. But notice...this appearance, is a SELF. A SELF IS A CONSTRUCTION!!!

So if you want to know the TRUTH OF THE CONSTRUCTION. Just deconstruct the construction!!!! No point in playing these mind games!!! No point in creating needless complexity!!! The truth of what you are is a BLANK!!!! A selfless awareness....then that means there is NO OTHER, and everything you have ever perceived was JUST AN APPEARANCE, A MIRAGE, AN ILLUSION, IMAGINARY.

Everything that appears....appears out of a lack of appearance/void/no-thing, non-sense (can't be sensed because there is nothing to sense). That is what you are, and what arises...is made of that. So nonexistence, arises/creates existence. And thus everything is solved.

@Razard86

Knowing is biggest illusion Mr. İnfinite intellect 😊

İf Truth come knowing or experiencing, it can come in this forum to everyone who use psychedelics or reading a book 😊

Don't you guys still can not get it? 😊 Of course "you" can not get it. 😊

The realization of “nothingness” still carries the subtle sense of an “I” who dissolves into it, an experience that comes and goes.

But to truly be nothing, or to be nothingness itself, is not an experience at all.

It is simply not knowing in the mind’s terms, and simply Being in Truth. 😊

Why would you need to experience what you already are? 😊

Experience implies time, change, and an experiencer. Being is timeless, changeless, without a second. It does not come through effort, but by resting as That which is always present. 😊

Mind is so fucking tricky so funny 🤣 🤣 🤣

I fucking love you guys 😊

Yes, thanks for the explanation. To be honest, it will take some time for my intellect to grasp/remember this. I understood it, then forgot, then I even forgot the understanding when i reread. I guess it takes time, thanks again.

New insight for me. Never view solipsism in this way. I pretty much understood all you were saying in your statements. Most, if not all. This quote right here, though, made me view solipsism in a different light. As I speak about in my journal how everything is complete in and in of itself, even incompleteness, I just realized how solipsism has to be the case. The problem lies in it's interpretation. Sone see it as one person being alone, others are non-existent or NPC's or whatever. No, the person is total, whether or not they believe they're a real person/individual/separate or not.

Is this what you're saying about solipsism in your view, or am I interpreting your meaning differently from how you intended it?

Be careful in turning Solpsism into a belief. Thats not the intention.   The intention is to discover you were God all along.

Yes, I understand that. It's a belief regardless if true or not. All -isms are.

Come on you know its only a belief if the person hasn't become conscious of it.
