Enlightenment / The Witness Method: Being Still, Aware, and Loving in Every Moment

40 posts in this topic

1. Set Your Intention

Begin with this heartfelt intention:

O Allah/God/Om/Being, make me a witness to Your presence in all that I do.

Let this intention ground your practice, inviting awake, loving presence.

2. Anchor in Divine Remembrance (Dhikr/Mantra)

Choose a sacred phrase to silently repeat in rhythm with your breath:

Allāh, Lā ilāha illā Allāh, Hu (He), So’ham (I am That).

Inhale calmly, exhale gently saying your mantra once or twice. Let this flow beneath your actions like a steady river.

3. Witness All That Arises Without Control

When thoughts, emotions, or sensations appear, gently pause the mantra and ask:

“Who is aware of this?”, Rest as the silent witness, seeing everything exactly as it is, without trying to control, change, or judge.

4. Live Love in Action

Allow the body to move, speak, and serve naturally while keeping the heart centered in remembrance. See all beings as expressions of the Divine and silently bless them:

"May you be safe, may you be at peace.” Let love and humility guide every act.

5.Use Breath as Your Anchor to Presence With each breath:

Inhale presence and calm.

Exhale your dhikr/mantra silently. This anchors you in the eternal Now, the timeless moment of witness.

6. Micro Practices Throughout the Day Pause regularly to:

Feel your feet grounded.

Take three deep breaths with your mantra. Send silent blessings to anyone and everyone.

These moments refresh your awareness and loving presence.

7. Surrender Completely to the Flow and Trust the Being That Is Always Now

Let go of all control or resistance. Rest as the pure witness, allowing life and all its experiences to unfold as they are.

Trust in the Being that is always Now, The timeless presence that underlies all.

8. Keep Dhikr / Mantra Alive During Speech

Maintain silent dhikr / mantra in your heart even when talking.

Speak divine phrases aloud naturally and sincerely, such as:
Bismillah, Alhamdulillah, Insha’Allah, when appropriate.

9. Allow the Body to Act Freely

The body moves and behaves naturally do not try to control it. Be aware, but do not interfere. Let awareness observe the flow without attachment.

10. Close the Day with Gratitude and Remembrance

Before sleep:

Repeat your dhikr/mantra slowly as much as.

Reflect gently on moments you were awake and loving, and moments you forgot.

Express heartfelt gratitude to Allah or your chosen Divine Name for the gift of awareness.

Key points:

Awareness without effort or judgment,

Living in the Now,

The futility of control and resistance,

Integration of inner silence and outer action.

Important Points:

To not hold onto any technique as a belief, idea, crutch or fixed path, but to remain open the flow of itself.

That truth is a pathless land. Therefore no method or teacher (if turned into a belief or idea, instead of letting go or surrendering those ideas or beliefs) can replace your own clear perception and freedom from conditioning.

Best Regards,

Its all enlightenment. Every single bit. No matter what one says, does, is, or is being. No man left behind. It's all fucking enlightenment. We don't need any teacher for this. Now get back to making coffee. Teach me about how to brew the best coffee. It's all enlightenment. You were born a baby just as I was and the same with Osho. No baby can teach enlightenment. It's all the same stuff. Nothing to surrender, nothing to let go of, nowhere to be silent at.

The twerker is enlightenment, the one that drinks beer and smokes weed is enlightenment. Dog shit is enlightenment. The mad man is enlightenment. The bird is enlightenment. Having sex is enlightenment. Hedonism is enlightenment. It's all enlightenment. Free yourself from the enslavement of the 'no mind'. There is only enlightenment, freedom and liberation. All of it. None is excluded. All the naysayers is enlightenment too. All of it. Ya hear, me all of it. Relax into it. Feel it. Loosen up. The contraction is real. We're all just tense.

It's beautiful brother.  But please when you're going to stop copy-pasting from stuff online ? Please give credit to the original authors .

Absolutely. I'm resonating ever more deeply with this view.  All of existence since eternity across all time and space is enlightenment itself unfolding. Not sure why people make fun of this view calling it neo adavaita bs .

So much so that you aren't childishly sitting around wishing it were otherwise. If you were confined to a wheelchair you would just accept it as how reality is. Just as you now just accept that you are not a bird who can fly."

Brother, insights are coming and I am writing in Turkish and using Google translate. That's it. 😊

I love. İf I don't love and not share it, what else can I do? 😊

The witness who observes and lovingly lets thoughts pass is a dual limit.

Of course. Entire point of the thread letting go the witness or observer, which dissolution of ego / self with self inquiry, meditation and daily meditation as I said in the thread.

Then there is no observer or observed. Only Being and reflection of the Being, which is Love.

Ok then.

For me, what works in meditation is, first, erase meaning. Nothing means anything. Second, equalize yourself with the flow, with the becoming, with the movement that occurs. You are not the observer, you are the movement. At a given moment, the shift occurs, and limits disappear. It's quite simple.

And an illusion....never happened, isn't happening and never will.

a given moment, the shift occurs,

That's an effect. How can anything of significance needs anything else to happen. Cause and effect is illusory. At any given moment, the shift occurs implies that the shift, which is supposed to be so vital in discovering oneself to be the flow and to become unlimited, according to you, depends on another occurrence to take place. That's all an illusion and all empty effects.

Who is taking it upon themselves then? 😊

It's not an illusion, it's a change of perspective, the collapse of duality. This doesn't mean that the self doesn't exist, it exists, but it's like a splitting of the flow occurs, creating a duality. This duality is real, but it's within the flow itself. You are the flow in the sense that you are reality, but you are also the self in this specific configuration. You can call it illusion or anything but why? The point is collapsing the duality to be limitless, then be limited again. This shift makes the self relativize it's reality and be able to align itself with the flow. Saying that the flow is imaginary is something that the self says, another limit

Nothing is connected. "Connected" implies separate objects being connected. Nothing is separate already, so nothing is connected.

Duality isn't happening. It's simply only an appearance.

if it not, nothing, is, connected are identical words? 😊 So, who name and labels them to write a sentence? 😊
