There’s no one who can profit from anything

36 posts in this topic

There being no one implies for example that there’s nobody who can profit anything from anything or anyone.

There’s nobody who can profit from

being rich

being a victim

being beautiful

being angry

being cute

being shy

being a people pleaser

being perfect

being depressed

being strong

being sick

being interesting

being weird or normal

having knowledge

being likeable

being you

being alive

dying

competing against others

judging others

judging you

waking up

not waking up

and so on

I mean obviously there being nobody implies that there’s nobody who can even be anything.

But there can be early childhood conditioning and beliefs that for example if you are a victim maybe your mother will come and help you and that you get sympathy and empathy and that would be your profit and so on.

"When you get very serious about truth you accept your life situation exactly as it is. So much so that you aren't childishly sitting around wishing it were otherwise. If you were confined to a wheelchair you would just accept it as how reality is. Just as you now just accept that you are not a bird who can fly."

I don't understand the topic, i first thought you basically mean that free will is an illusion or something like that but the last paragraph seems to go elsewhere.

@Schizophonia Salv and sugar actually buy this stuff .as in they actually think this requires more than two brain cells to grasp that the self or sense of individuality is illusion.  Whereas you just engage because sugar is involved.  You 4 are adorable.

I think individuality can be alienated by layers of "fake self", shitty karma if you want.

By a inner work you can evacuate poor masks and tend toward your "true self",  what Carl Jung called individuation.

But this self is very tangible, even if it's fundamentally theoretically an illusion ; Even Ramana maharshi who becames a human larva didn't mahasamadhi or killed himself, he was still in the idea of being a human on earth etc.

@Schizophonia 1) no ."you " as a person with free will and choice don't exist .point to yourself .Good luck .

2) ramana didn't just realize no self .he realized The Self . The eternal Self which was never born and will never die . Tony and Jim and Muller don't know what that is .

3) sugar commented ..then you must comment.

So 90% or more of people who believe the self is real are stupid to you?

Also I never claim to know the self isn’t real, I just intuit it kinda

No self is precisely that there is no such thing as people.

@Sugarcoat but yeah relatively speaking 90% of people are stupid . Don't know if you've realized that . I've been alive for a short time on this planet and I got that down.

I think it’s more accurate to say most are quite closed . I’d say it requires a kind of openness to resonate with the idea of no self. But maybe that closedness could be called a type of stupidity, because you’re stuck in your little bubble, so yea in a sense I agree with you

If nothing takes the form as something, and is formed exactly like something, then it will be as if it exists actually, that’s kinda how the self is. Seems absolutely real. So the experience of gaining something can be there

Maybe you should start a YouTube channel and pretend to be a radical non dualist

Nobody would gain from that either.
