Perhaps. But there's a reason why traditional way of using psychedelics were always combined with weeks or months of purification, prayers, isolation, meditation, fasting, puking, being in nature etc. Working with the subconscious is more than just therapy.

I've got to say, I think psychedelics are probably one of the only ways to overthrow the ego mind deeply enough to force it into recognising that it's failing to see something about reality. I mean I had to essentially do that with myself.

Yea but you still fail to see simple things. For example, this thread you were trying to create a narrative where you paint yoruself as a truth holder and another person as someone who's just self evidently deluded by all measures. The thread was not driven by a genuine desire to broaden your capacity to understand people. Instead you were hoping that people by answering your thread they would automatically accept your narrative and play along with the story you created, that way giving you conformation and validation that you're this truth speaker who struggles to talk to deceived people thus establishing and cementing your position. The more people play along with this narrative the more validity it gains. And as a bonus secretly winning an argument behind his back by creating a small glee club where everyone agrees with you. This thread was actually just your ego doing its dirty tricks to maintain its structure. 

See, you might have seen God on dmt, but when it comes to your subconscious, you're still in the dark about it. Sometimes you need a telescope and sometimes you need a microscope. Psychedelics are a telescope not a microscope. All the self deception lies in the subconscious tho. It distorts what you see even through a telescope.
