Is the US now at war with Iran? (US vs. Iran Discussion)

Apparently US just attacked Iran. I was recently listening to professor mearsheimer that this would be very bad for US?

I hope this wouldn't be like the war after 9/11 .. and I hope Iran doesn't attack USA like it is successfully attacking Israel. 

I do believe Iran has a right to defend itself. It's unfair from my limited perspective of politics what is happening to them, but as a US citizen I hope we are safe. 

I really don't want to cause fear mongering but a light question .. this isn't turning into a more global conflict is it? like WW3 or something?

It's just going to be air attacks aimed at destroying Iran's ability to nuke Israel and others.  They're the bad guys in this story.

@Inliytened1 how are they the bad guys though? I mean I don't know all this much, but from my understanding I'm not even sure they are developing one. I heard this Tulsi lady said their intelligence shows they're not even developing it? And even if they did what's the problem?

But also what do you mean "just" lol .. how do you know this is an isolated single event that won't escalate on and on? affecting both sides?

Its just the same bs reasons they had when they attacked Iraq , exactly the same.

Read the other thread.  Their sole purpose is to destroy Israel.  Many unbiased individuals explained in that thread, some from Iran - that they wish to destroy Israel.  No one wanted to listen here though- because we are so busy condemning Israel for the destruction in Gaza.  But that was started by proxies of Iran .

He can't control what other countries wanna do..can anyone?  Have you ever had to change directions due to something outside of your control?  You are caught up in political propaganda that politicians use to get elected.   They all do it.  Trump is not unique in that regard.

First of all I don't hate the people I hate the idea of israel bec its a racist idea first and foremost read history before talking about hate and all this , do you know how many Palestinians were killed to establish the so called country "israel", you trying to know where I am from you're trying to classify me so that your unconscious mind can put me in the racist framework of "anti semitic " , yeah the whole world doesnt need israel and racist country built upon nothing real and killing people , the whole world is your enemy people with real hearts and can use their minds

I did read history and fine if you want to hold that kind of grudge.   But I'm talking about what's happening right now not how the country was founded.   We are here.  Whether we like how we got here or not.  So from your perspective Iran is justified.  And that's fine.  But let's not kid ourselves with regard to their goal.  They hold the same spite that you do.
