Can you make money through gambling ?

I was searching of ways to make money and this came up in my mind. I think becoming a professional poker player is an option. what do yall think ?

the capitalist system is against us, in lebanon if i get hired i can barely make anything for a lot of hours of work everyday, mastering poker seems to be a great way out of this misery.

You want fast answers, fast money, fast everything.

Forget all the easy get rich quick ways of making money.

You have to work hard for the next 5 to 10 years in order to build financial independence of some kind.

If the system of capitalism in Lebanon is actually completely corrupt, then work a bit to make some cushion money and then take a plane and leave the country and never go back, and start over somewhere else

It depends on your situation. I gambled on gold—I knew it would go up, so I took out a loan from the bank. I'm six months in, and I've already made a profit. 

Becoming a professional poker player is not something foreseeable for me. I believe some things have to happen biologically.

I once had a coaching client who made six-figures as a pro online poker player. But it was a grueling full-time job. He spent 10 hours a day at the PC playing and it was so tiring he hired me to coach him how to transition out of it. He became a personal gym trainer instead.

It's possible, but it requires serious skill and it's not glamorous. It's a grinding job.

I don't usually preach people on what they should or shouldn't do with their lives but I strongly advise against gambling.
