@integration journey looking up and up for the Middle East. Gulf money and Turkish muscle are stabilising the region.

Now that Israel is internally fractured and economically fragile along with the US - the rising regional powers have stepped in to take control. Shifting centres of power.

This isn’t because the Western elite grew a conscience as much as it is adapting to a new reality. They exhausted their military industrial complex and will now attempt to fit into the multipolar world where they can rather profit more from stability and new markets in the global south.

Wasn't the new syrian president a member/supprt of ISIS ou close groupe ?

If that's true France should issue an ultimatum for the new government to resign or face economic sanctions and military intervention.

We must make it clear that anyone who dares to carry out terrorist attacks against the national people will be systematically persecuted militarily, regardless of the cost.

And if the Syrian people collaborate, then they are enemies.

Nothing will prevent Willy.

Get back to me when any of these tinpots promote democracy.

“It is a beautiful and true symbol for liberty that a tree! Liberty has its roots in the heart of the people, like the tree in the heart of the earth; like the tree it raises and spreads its branches in the sky; like the tree, it grows unceasingly and covers generations with its shade.”

- Victor Hugo

No he fought ISIS. He was part of another extremist group but he is a changed man now just like everyone else in Syria.
I didn’t really understand your last sentence but I’m syrian that stand for democracy and freedom and I’m proud of where my country is headed, do you want to be my enemy? Ok let’s do it but keep in mind your French leader is already our friend.

Atleast trump gets shit done in the Middle East.

if it was a president from the Democratic Party, it would have taken years to lift the sanctions on Syria.

I dislike trump but I respect him on this move.

Sanctions hurt the common people the most and Syrians can finally breathe and go back to rebuilding their own country!

Fuck yeah!

Stabilizing Syria would be a significant positive move to bring peace to the Middle East.  The next step is to bring sensible leadership back to Israel.  Trump dropping the sanctions and giving the new Syrian president a chance  despite his past was a farsighted move.
