It’s not Switzerland! This is what the most beautiful trail in Israel looks like right now!
These photos are current as of February 2025 🍀

Meet 📍Tabor Stream Nature Reserve in the Lower Galilee region.
At this time of year, the trail turns completely green, offering stunning views of rolling green hills, all combined with blooming flowers and a flowing stream 🍀

The nature reserve offers a variety of trails and options, including a challenging descent to the stream ...

Enjoy, and feel free to check out my Instagram page "Efrat Gabai - Mom Traveler" for more recommendations ❤️ "

This song happened to play during that difficult weekend when the Bibas family was returned to Israel a week and a half ago, sadly, no longer among the living. While there's no exact alignment between the song's content (abusive realtionship) and the event, there's something in the music and emotions it conveys that feels intuitively fitting for the moment as it was one of the most successful Israeli rock songs has ever written and probably not by chance that this charged song played on the radio that very weekend when regulary it being played relatively rarely.

Lyrics

How would you tell him, girl?
You said there's nowhere to go
He didn’t know
And you, like the wind, stay silent
And your time
If you only let it, it will slip away
And your time
If you only touch it, it will stay with you
And your time
If you only let it, it will slip away
And your time
If you only touch it, it will stay with you

Chorus
If this is your moment
The circle you're tied to is placed before you
If this is your moment
Then when you leave, the door will open
And no, no, no
He won't forget.

Trust him girl
And you remained supported by his arm
He is into you
and you are in the same rhythm
And your time...

Israel's Eurovision 2025 song is so beautiful and artistic. I love that they added a bit of poetry from the Bible in Hebrew.

מים רבים לא יוכלו לכבות את האהבה ונהרות לא ישטפוה

Which means: many waters cannot quench love, nor can rivers drown it.

It adds such divinity.

Take hold of your own life. See that the whole existence is celebrating.

These trees are not serious, these birds are not serious.

The rivers and the oceans are wild, and everywhere there is fun, everywhere there is joy and delight. Watch existence, listen to the existence and become part of it. -Osho

What's the point of this thread? Echo chamber for zionists who get super uncomfortable of the truth from the other threads and need to soothe their brainwashing with more brainwashing?

Israelis are not zionists.

Zionists (in your version of the term) are far right sectors within Israelis that occupy key positions in our current corrupt government.

And then you speak about echo chambers. Don't demonize 10M people without you having even 1% of understanding and familiarity with them and I won't continue this discussion any further under this thread.

" Thousands are now on their way to Jerusalem for the Peace Conference.
In just a few hours, we will present new data from the Accord Center about the public's complex perceptions regarding peace. In the meantime, I’m sharing findings here—fresh, but consistently recurring throughout the past year:

After the October 7th massacre, and in the midst of a horrific and deadly war, half of the Israeli public supports a regional-political-security agreement that includes normalization with Arab states and agreement to establish a Palestinian state. Studies from other organizations show similar findings. A significant majority of the public—over 70%—also understands the need to advance political agreements in order to ensure Israel’s security.

So when someone tells you that “no one in Israel supports a political agreement after October 7” or “no one supports establishing a Palestinian state,” they are lying—knowingly or negligently—serving the government and the far-right that leads it.

The truth is the opposite: half of Israelis support such moves, including a large majority—76% of opposition voters (see slide 19 in the full presentation—for public opinion research enthusiasts; link in comments).

And regarding the opposition and the liberal-democratic camp—this strong majority exists even before the opposition’s leadership fully champions this agenda (with the exception of Yair Golan and some Arab MKs).

So the thousands gathering this morning in Jerusalem are not a marginal minority—far from it. They are the vanguard of half the Israeli public who understand that only a political solution can end this nightmare of war.

And this vanguard—this human force—if it continues to fight and never gives up, has the power to save both Israelis and Palestinians from the bloody spiral that the Kahanist-led government and Hamas—in horrifying collaboration—so desperately want to maintain "

@Nivsch can you tell me about Kibutz?

Have you been in one?

Is it a big part of Israeli society?

I haven't lived in a kibbutz but about 5–10% of Israelis have at some point in their lives. A kibbutz is kind of communal, socialist style village where all income used to go into a shared fund, though today most kibbutzes have moved toward a more privatized model.

I am originally from a sub-urban town similar to where 15% of Israelis live, which also has some sort of a communal atmosphere.

Absolutely queen.

Her performance was so refreshing in comparison to 95% of the songs there and the shallowness trend the Eurovision suffer from in the last decade (except Austria that was closer or similar and also quite good).

She is really many levels above the vast majority there vocally and emotionally (In Eurovision AutoTune is not allowed so the vocals are raw).
