Lula is a master conciliator and that's why he is our biggest historical figure. The elites in Brazil are extremely reactionary and segregationists, they hate poor people and freak out even with small advancements as poor people being able to travel by planes or going to universities. Lula knows he has to make huge concetions to do something for the poor. The middle-class here is also completely bought-in with this hatred for the poor and that's how we have 50% of the population praising the extreme-right.

Well, the amount of educated and rich/high-status people who vote for ult-right politicians make me doubt we could have any sort of accurate filter. In practice, what would happen is this "filter" would favor the interest of the elite, as always. Here in Brazil, the poor people are saving what lasted of our democracy and the middle and upper classes are mostly in favor of our version of Trump.

All those do work IF in sufficient numbers to have a great impact in the big pictures. Systemic problems only are solved by systemic solutions. That's why the government should be in charge of systemic problems. One big good social program like healthcare free for all can deeply change the entire society like no other individual effort can. That's where marxists get it right: the problem is the system and we have to change the system. BUT until then, sure, help people in a small scale but i would focus on systemic changes.

I am half joking. To be honest, this political situation is triggering me a lot the last 6 years and it's getting worse day by day. Yesterday, at the election, i was really emotionally involved and, at the end, i was worried. Maybe Bolsonaro will win again and we are fucked. I am seeing Brazil gradually being taken by the ult-right and evangelics. With the support of million and millions of people, including intelligent people (mostly stage red/blue/orange) with lots of influence. I am starting to lose hope.

Bro, you won't have any self-esteem using society standards. What you need is a intense and abnormal amount of self-love and self-belief even if you seem delusional at first, fuck other people's opinion, nobody knows what you really have been through and nobody ever will. That's the beauty of spiritual practies in my opinion: they transcend any "normal" objections like the need to have good motives to feel good and confident. Realize you can literally feel like you wish, even if the whole world says otherwise. Stand ALONE in your own power. Unshakable. One way of doing it is to meditate deeply on success, and love, and hapiness, and God. One-pointed concentratation for long stretches of time on the above objects until you feel those all the time. Start to feel delusionally good without any apparent reason.

Well, we do do that with other substances (give out freely). People can and do fuck up their lives with porn, food or videogames. I can't see how doctors or psychologists can judge who would be able to handle smoking weed or not.

Particularly, i am way more "left" then Lula and part of the PT, he is, at best, center-left and this is clear for a very long time now for the left. BUT, it is what it is. Today i can see that this is the only way possible (until now) of having a semi-leftist government in Brazil. Even with this centrist left, with timid reforms and earned rights for the poor and labor class, we had a VIOLENT reactionary from the rest of the country, we had Dilma's coup, we had Temer which used his brief power to erase decades of progressive advancements, we had Lula's prision, we had the rise of the alt-right etc. Brazil isn't ready for true leftist ideas and Lula is the best we had and have. Lula has his succesful government to back him up. Ciro's plan will NEVER be work if he isn't capable of working with other people and make alliances (proven by his failed campain). Lula all the way right now.

Ciro would be a great Minister for Lula but Ciro is a awful leader, specially to lead the country. His resentment, his lack of wisdom, inflexibility, arrogance, excessive pride, disonest discourse etc makes him a bad choice even if there was no Bolsonaro, today, i would vote for Lula if the choice was between him and Ciro.

I understand him. Here in Brazil we have Bolsonaro and his followers, much like the MAGA movemente. It has been one of the few things that get deep on my nerves, i feel so much anger, frustration almost daily because the situation seem hopeless, people are irreversebly brainwashed and they will bring the entire country to a deeper hole that it is right now and it is impossible to envision how bad it can get. It feels like living in an insane mental hospital and being rules by an insane majority.

Why do you think this is the case for you and not necessarely for most people?

GOD DAMN it is hard to find ONE successful entrepreneur or business people that aren't right-wing or have moronic politic stances. Here in Brazil we are dealing with Bolsonaro (extreme right-wing moron) and he still has a large number of followers despite a desastrous (what a surprise) 4 year mandate (running for re-election right now). Like TRUMP and his voters in USA. I read everywhere to find a good mastermind group with successful people to hang out and learn from them but god damn it, almost all of them are right-wing and vote for Bolsonaro. I am openly against him and left-wing, i can't stand talk with those people for long because they usually have the usual right-wing talking point (against the "woke", mildly homophobic, anti-feminism, mildly racist, toxic masculinity, christian, pro-guns etc). Every business/entrepreneur group i find is full of those people, rarely i find someone who is AT LEAST a healthy orange/green (most are red/blue/orange). Apart from them, almost all people i can surround myself with is mediocre AT BEST, most are losers, to be honest. Should i shut the hell up and endure their moronic political views? Should i take a stand/debate them? Should i go SOLO on life and be my own influence and pray to GOD this works? I always had awful influences, almost zero healthy successful references in my life. This is so frustrating!

First of all, you CAN'T know Dilma was controlled by Lula. This is a LIE. Are you talking about Bolsa Família? The program that helped MILLIONS get out of extreme poverty and NOT DIE OF HUNGER? You call this propaganda? Where the fuck do you live? The social programs the PT implemented was and ARE abstolutely necessary, MILLIONS of people would die of hunger without it. Except he was inoccented, his process was NULED due to the extremely partial judge. Moro (the judge) put Lula in jail in order to avoid that Lula would won the elections of 2018, allowing Bolsonaro to win the Election, then MORO (the judge that put Lula in jail) BECAME MINISTER OF BOLSONARO. This is absolutely scandalous. Lula is, according to the Brazillian law, absolutely inocent. This means you can't call him "thief" or "ex-prisioner". Another lie, he absolutely NAILED yesterday national interviews and you know that. He speaks like a true leader, instilling hope and positivity on the people. Well, he is clearly the better option. You can't decide between Lula and Bolsonaro? Seriously? Ciro has no chance at all (6% of voters intention). Can you prove any of that?
