Yeah ive not had sex for 8 years. Ive tried and tried but it didnt work out for me. I simply cant go out and do pickup now, it seems so stupid and misogynistic to me nowadays. Im basically skipping this and do meditation now. Ive stopped contact with all females I knew, deleted my social medias and im now doing this kind of ascetic lifestyle while trying to keep the strong emotions from not having a relationship or sex in check, they do surface at least 3-4 times a week though. On the other hand if I had relationship and sex in my life I wouldnt be meditating or reading all these books at all, so maybe it all makes sense in the end.

MDMA Depression only happens for people who overdo it. If you do it in a responsible manner you get a nice afterglow the next day. The only time I experienced MDMA depression was after I did it 2 days in a row. People warn about doing this for good reason and I knew about it. But as it is if you like a substance and you want to get a feel for it you test out the boundaries. It was just 1 or 2 shitty days and I was back to normal though, lesson learned. Alcohol hangover is far worse for me. MDMA is a rather safe substance if you are not an idiot about it. Considering the far too strong pills that are around and the amount of idiots that do it at partys I wouldnt worry about it if you have even half a brain.

Depends on the person. I get none of these "love-feelings" on MDMA. Im maybe a bit friendlier and more open because of the mood-boost but nothing world shattering. On the other hand If you want to know how it feels like to be some tribal member dancing himself into a trance thats what MDMA is about for me. And also music sounds awesome, in fact techno music has a very repetitive tribal feel to it because of that. Dont confuse "tribal" with natural though, it feels like a chemical drug.

This thread is ridiculous. When did this turn into an alt-right forum. -

This is remarkable. It even says you are allowed to monetize and edit the videos. These days you have to doubtful of any gurus because there is so much money to be made in spirituality. This is a big sign to skeptics that it is not about the money here. Growing up in a capitalist culture like most westerners makes you extra wary about this stuff. When I first discovered actualized.org I went to the website and was like "allright, this guy is just trying to sell me stuff, time to leave", but I stayed because I was so fascinated by how geniunly serious this stuff is to Leo, so I was convinced this stuff is legit even though I havent experienced any mystical experience yet. The money lost on sales is actually not lost, its an investment into integrity and authenticity. -
Assumming there exists nothing besides a material external world, in the far future a teleportation device is constructed that scans the "atoms" of a person (or whatever basic material building blocks are assumed), destroys them and builds them up new in a new location. Now we assume 2 scenarios to get a person from room A to room B. The first person uses the teleportation device, a second person simply walks into the other room. Wouldnt a materialist assume that from the perspective of the first person his conscious experience ends while an exact clone of him is created, yet the second person lives on as usual? If there exists nothing but material and both persons atoms are in the same place before and after the experiment how is it possible that there is a difference in conciousness? How would it get there, why would it end for the first guy and not the second. Therefore conciousness is immaterial. (debate me)

@StephenK this is actually a well known philosophical Problem called the Ship of Theseus. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ship_of_Theseus -

No matter how long, Leo is literally doing Gods work here documenting this journey. Even if in the worst case it all turns out to be bullshit it will be worth it. -
MM1988 replied to MM1988's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
yes, like I said the first guy would be killled Ala prestige, no one in their right mind would step in that device. But if someone told you to just walk into the other room you would do it without much concern. Either way material gets transfered. If that material was created 30 years or 30 seconds ago, whats the difference? Intiuitively there seems to be an enourmous difference in conciousness though. -

lol at that 350$ chair. Capitalism finds a way to make even sitting around doing nothing expensive. -
After watching Leos blog post about not half assing yoga I decided I was not for it, Ive only been meditating 20 minutes a day for a year now and I will continue doing so because I barely see any progress yet. However, can I do the Alternate Nostril Breahting technique at the start of my mindfullness meditation or is it better for me to stay away from it? Also, I rarely can breath freely through both nostrils, I read somewhere that this is natural and accepted in the medical work, the nose alternates your nostrils. So this should happen to more people, how can you do Alternate Nostril Breahting effectively then?

Leo talked about this in a video, was there ever any evidence recorded of this happening? All I could find was that various yogis who claimed to be able to do have not been able to reproduce this in a lab setting. I would love to be not as skeptic as I am but on one hand these Yogis want to convince people to practice Yoga and yet these claimed supernatural abilities or siddhies have never been proven. What would be a better way to convince people of doing their school of yoga by having one of these abilities approved by a scientist? That would make their particular school of yoga much more credible overnight. Now you might be saying I want bold evidence for subtle phenomena, but stopping once heartbeat or levitating into the air is also a bold claim. I just cant get over this contradiction in the spiritual world but I would be open and happy to be convinced otherwise.

@Leo Gura But the very definition of pseudoscience is scientific theories that have no empirical evidence behind them. That doesnt mean its wrong per se but just that its unverifiable so scientists tend to stay awax from it. A man with no heartbeat on the other hand would be undeniable empirical evidence. It might be that scientists would tend to stay away from verifying these claims. But If such a man exists then word of mouth (aka anecdotal evidence) would spread so fast he WILL end up in a lab sooner or later. In fact I found a source that claims this has happened, apparently 4 yogis agreed and attempted it over multiple days but there heart was still found to beat normally. Thats exactly how stuff becomes pseudoscience, not the other way around. @Prabhaker @Vipassana Thanks, thats some good stuff. I knew about self immolating monks and its very impressive. This is the stuff that keeps a western skeptic like me meditating every day. -

Its closely related to the 2C-X chemicals. -
MM1988 replied to MM1988's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Well, what IS he gonna say? Lets be real here. What you say might all apply to subtle phenomena but how is a scientist gonna handwave away a missing heartbeat? A scientist would have no choice to say, well I guess thats possible so some of our understanding must be wrong. It wouldnt necessarily violate his materialist paradigm though. It would be enought for the scientist to say "This works in a materialist world but we dont know why yet". Scientists do the same regarding black matter. -
MM1988 replied to MM1988's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
But it were the Yogis that made these bold claims in the first place! thats the whole problem here. Why make a gross materialist claim like stopping a heartbeat or levitating that could easily be measured with really primitive tools. Why dont they stick to their "energies" and non-verifyable stuff. I also see this completely seperated from the materialism/idealism debate, I'm open that these siddhis exist in both paradigms. -

There might be some validity to the moral implications of such powers but I cant help it, this sounds like such a cop out to me. -
Audio should be enough

Will part 2 be uploaded next week..? If thats the case I'll make the suggestion you upload it now and just skip next weeks video because the information of part 1 is still fresh now.

Maybe Anti Depressants can help really depressed people to see stuff from a positive perspective for a time WHILE doing the inner work or therapy. And then they go off them. That sounds like a reasonable use for them. Warning to anybody on anti depressants here, do NOT take psychedelics while on them, they both screw with the serotonin system. Especially MDMA can be deadly.

MM1988 replied to starsofclay's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Leo Gura What would be the difference between a substance that deludes people into thinking they are enlightened vs. a substance that actually enlightens people like 5-meo. What if a hypothetical substance exists that gets you enlightened in the way that everything is material, you think you embody materialism and get direct experience of the materialist paradigm and are dead sure thats how the world works after the trip. Basically the opposite of 5-meo. What if that exists, how could you know if thats more or less true than other trips? How could one be sure if the subjective experience one gets with a substance is "legit"? -

I heard LSD and its derivates are quite stimulating so no wonder you cant sit still. After all people do these drugs at partys too.
