  1. Might also be different for a man as opposed to a woman, so the story may seem less familiar. As men are often judged more, imho on their feelings. Hence why the guy retired to somewhere out the way. Not sure what an equivalent story would be for a woman, anyway possibly best to not think too much on it.
  2. Unless it's more ruminating, in which case it's more of an unconscious process, perhaps.
  3. I think it refers to the fragmentary nature of personality and Ego. As opposed to the unitary nature of God or the will to Nihlism of a priest. Had a look at the passage. The next story was of a woman faith in Jesus healing her.
  4. A man. But, thought it might be appropriate, just an intuitive sense.
  5. Mrk 5:9 And he asked him, What is thy name? And he answered, saying, My name is Legion: for we are many.
  6. @vkmondragon You have a voice inside your head? What does it say?
  7. @Karin12414 There is the potential that other 3rd parties could be affected, would be like if you had children of your own and not doing anything. Establishing a prescendent in your own mind. I can't see if you try to ignore this anything good can happen. No one can give you emotional support here. Unless perhaps they have had a similar experience. I could see how this might send someone crazy. Maybe there's a support group you can talk to.
  8. @Karin12414 If you say nothing, then what does that say about the standard you have set for yourself and other children? Talk to your parents and contact the police.
  9. The Pilgrim's Progress Christian. That I doubt, for leaving of all is a hard matter; yea, a harder matter than many are aware of. But why, or by what, art thou persuaded that thou hast left all for God and heaven? Ignorance. My heart tells me so. Christian. The wise man says, "He that trusts his own heart is a fool". "He that trusteth in his own heart is a fool: but whoso walketh wisely, he shall be delivered." Proverbs 28:26
  10. @Enizeo I don't mind, I'm English. Why not upload it and remove your name and company perhaps? Although there are probably other, more literate members.
  11. @aurum Oh, ok then.
  12. Yeah bloody homeless man. How dare he! Probably resents rich people as well.
  13. Entropy, Time's arrow. Neuroticism & the mind seems to interfere with time. Time being relative.
  14. Might be some advantages to non-consciousness. Thinking of true multi-tasking, maybe like the hindu god Kali(the one with the skull garland and multi arms). I wonder if it's conincidence... that you have Kalima in Islam and Kali in Hinduism, wikipedia inspired opinion, but still the continents didn't fit together at one time until like 90 years a go in geography....
  15. Burn Bady Burn Disco Inferno!
  16. Is enlightenment better than non-enlightenment? Could taking psychedlics be considered a form of spiritual suicide? If not, what preparation should be done before hand? Wondered if it might be like changing gears on a car without the clutch.
  17. 1) Myself - Hopefully, kind of screwed otherwise..... 2) Batman 3) Charlton Heston 4) Bugs Bunny 5) The Roadrunner. Something to do with temperance. Perhaps how a blade maybe tempered, flex and not break.
  18. One thing at a time, there's only so much you can hold in consciousness. Perhaps if you could think of one keystone principle that might help, There's that book "The One Thing" maybe take note of the examples and come up with your own. INTP, Low conscientiousness right?
  19. @egoless I think that would depend whether you were thinking more along the lines of businessman (Bottom line, When, Where, How etc) or an entreprenur(Constant forays into chaos).
  20. "To boldly go where no man has gone before."
  21. I remember a video you did where you talked about arationality. Often thinking about morality, philosophy & metaphysics causes one big jumble. Though tend to think of the line "Take the pain!" from Platoon. Metaphysically I'm personally at Incompatiblism or Illusionism. Freewill an Illusion, a potentiality not an actuality. Perhaps like infinity as a potentiality not actuality? God as Chance? Kind of addicted to the search for understanding, comprehension... I don't really know what. "The farther one travels the less one knows." The Inner Light (The Beatles) - paraphrasing the Tao Te Ching. Greed for more(Supersize me). So much content online of J Peterson, would seem to take a life time to think about all the stuff he covers. "You are not you--you have no body, no blood, no bones, you are but a thought. I myself have no existence; I am but a dream--your dream, a creature of your imagination. In a moment you will have realized this, then you will banish me from your visions and I shall dissolve into the nothingness out of which you made me." Satan, The Mysterious Stranger (Mark Twain)
  22. @Leo Gura Could you give a definition of what an Ideology is? and what particular ideology/ies, Jordan Peterson presumably follows wittingly or not?
  23. @Omario Jordan Peterson equates Ideology with a braying ass. Was on one of his videos on Pinocchio(on Pleasure Island).
  24. @alyra Yeah I think it is an exceptional book and it's short, personally found it easy to understand. Simplicity, Humility & Kindness "Taoist 3 treasures" . imo Archetypally would be equivalent to "The Three Kings" gifts; Gold(Simplicity), Myrrh(Humility), Frankincense(Kindness). Hey no problem, I tend to use people as kind of a soundboard for ideas. Maybe a little bit like Socrates, dialectic.
