I think it's all Satanism. And the pot calling the kettle black. Like all trojans, try to keep your anti virus up to date, pick and choose morsels of truth, maybe. View it perhaps as soulblood sport entertainment, I don't like the glittery stuff, all that glitters is not gold. Gilded tombs do worms enfold.....

On a primal level. 1) Confidence. (feigned, real or perceived). 2) Looks. If you're 7 or above you may get offered drinks or approached. But then there is potential jealously as well. Rejection for a Guy Vs a Woman..... 3) Bank account. 4) Personality. "You and I, we're the same! We have personality!" - Bicentennial Man. On a more developed level. 5) Character.

How do you know the experience is God, and not some other supernatural influence? The Buddha remarks on numerous lesser enlightenments. What was with the non-human influence in another thread? -

Freewill; as a relative and not absolute, proposition. -
@thesmileyone Depends how you look at it. How many high end jewellery and fashion shops have prices displayed? Looked on the Internet the phrase is attributed to JP Morgan.

If you have to ask... you can't afford it.

@now is forever Yes I suppose I did not have to add that. Thinking of time plays havoc with cognition, but what else is there to do? Tend to think more of the fortune cookies. Horoscope ("time observer" never really thought of it like that).

@now is forever Was thinking more alchemy.

Quicklime can be highly explosive. If melted from limestone. Mercury is obviously liquid at rtp. Chicken and the Egg. Ontology.

I think it can make it worse as additional investment is made in security and slaughterhouses centralised(potentially larger salaries for managers), so more money is at stake and special interests do not want to lose out. Probably move it from one area to another with a corresponding increase in resource consumption. Same thing with animal experimentation, either moves abroad or moves more underground. Like with hypothermia test data from holocaust(means animal sacrifice) victims. Was a load of Japanese scientists that were pardoned by the American government from testing anthrax and chemicals weapons on the Chinese, data was pretty useless though as they wanted delivery mechanisms. Might be a bit like fable of the man with his coat, with the sun and wind trying to remove it. But I suppose if it makes you feel better and everything is one, go for it.

A lot of the 3rd eye pineal gland stuff I think comes from Descartes dualism. All these fancy names, can't make heads or tails of it. Isn't there any leaked military data like, when they drugged the water supply in France, MKULTRA project. -

I have read numerous passages on the Bible they say you're screwed if you do psychedelics(sorcery). The Qu'ran had a passage about your soul being stolen or something, in return for profane knowledge, although kind of breezes past it. Not sure what other religions say, I kind of viewed it as a bodybuilding type of thing where people would be more apt to record experiences systematically and empirically. What do I tangibly gain? Like a Hollywood movie or something. Limitless or Lucy.

@F A B I would say life purpose is about self love, if that involves sharing, so be it.

@MsNobody Jung wrote about pisces, the fish sign in Aion. Relates to Jesus Christ, he tries to take an empirical view of Christ not as God, but an ordinary man. In a way, kind of a reverse Buddhism. As a principle of individuation, the fish was supposedly used as an early christian symbol, let alone Santiago de Compostela and fish(salted cod) as a tradition in Portugal. -

Collective unconscious influence. Stereotypes. Days of the week. Tuesday(war day) Wednesday(knowledge day). Not really traits, as behaviours. I don't like astrology because it fragments reality. I think something like Christianity, which should in theory be un-falsifiable, offers one way of unifying the psyche. Maybe Buddhism is another, although falsifiable. Not really sure. -

I think the Big 5 is more of a character test output. Where as MBTi is a personality test. I think the MBTi is useless, unless you read the source material with a rudimentary understanding of what the functions mean. Science can only falsify, it can not prove. DEMARCATION!!!! -

@MsNobody I would say that is true. My last name also means bay with good soil. High in the openness to intellectual ideas, but otherwise low in openness. I generally like being in the woods coppicing trees and enjoy gardening. I would say I'm generally seen as conservative by others, although not ideologically so, I think it's less grounded and coherent than socialism. Not classical liberal either, closest would be Whiggism, although that's pretty much non-existent. Pisces, I don't really know anything about astrology, but I remember Pisces being related to individuation, from reading some of C.G Jung. -
What's it like to be overwhelmed by psychedelics?

Fear of God.

Taurus. I don't like how astrology fragments things, even if it has an element of truth. -
Said something about "Spiritual Nihilism", not the whiny millennial version. Which is the equivalent of Buddhism.

@Ampresus Well as the Qu'ran is called the direct dictation of God, go from there. Handy... even in categories. there we go "The Women" between "The Cow" and "The Cattle". 4:4:11. Twice as much property for male heirs, than female...... Nice. 4:4:14 If you disobey any commandments you'll burn in hellfire for ever, no repentance, Allah is most merciful......... Bit Harsh. 4:4:15 Four witnesses required for any shameful acts(illicit fornication) of a woman. 4:4:23 No marrying direct descendants or Nannys. If your wife has a step daughter she is game, but if you go into her, no marriage. 4:4:24 If you lie to your future wife before marriage, that's game. "And there is no blame upon you for what you mutually agree to beyond the obligation."................... I can show you World, shining shimmering splendid....

RichardY replied to Truth Addict's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
And the reason that is, is because wisdom can't be taught, it has to be earned. Otherwise, it'll be turned into dogma, and that's exactly what happened with religion. @Truth Addict Yeah could be onto something there. Although you can always instruct people. Which does not have to come with any ideology or Dogma. Dance or driving a car for instance. I don't think that open-mindedness is the equivalent of faith. Plenty of things are taken on belief, a step further would then be to infer their implications and work from the inference and not the belief. An enlightened leader. Plenty of times people have been lead by someone or rather by their ego and are not enlightened. I suppose Buddhism may offer a path to crush the EGO down, allow the self or rather 'no self' to takeover which is more powerful.
