@Nahm More like free choice. I can't change something even if I want to. See. That's how we don't have free will. A lot that happens in the world is not in our control. We are given choices and options and we choose out of those. So how free will ?

@The White Belt It seems like you suffer from intense anxiety which can be a major distraction. You can keep the spiritual stuff aside for a while because it all gets jumbled up. So try to segregate things and prioritize them. Your ocd could be contributing to this problem. Often when you have ocd, you lose focus and cling to things that drain your energy. Not good. Btw, you always need to have a plan B on your plate. I mean other than acting.

Instead of talking to your plants, if you yelled at them would they still grow, but only to be troubled and insecure? Have you ever heard them.

Existence is an experience as natural as anything else. If you identify with thoughts of suffering, it increases your misery. Dissociate from such thoughts and you'll have peace.

This is rationalization of belief but does not appear as cognitive dissonance. Cognitive dissonance is the presence of conflicting ideas.

@Shanmugam I've read this book. It's a about spirituality and atheism and how one can be spiritual without the need for religion with the help of meditation. However no other method is mentioned which made it very meditation oriented. It's like a begginer' s guide to meditation, so not very comprehensive imo.

@Visionary I read somewhere that the spirit resides in the soul and the soul lives in the heart/heart chakra. The spirit is the connection to God. Thus the heart is the gateway to God.

@Prabhaker @Principium Nexus Psychopaths are incapable of feeling emotions. Even enlightened people are supposed to feel less emotional, almost free from emotions. So does this mean that an enlightened person could be a psychopath although in a positive way. Can there be a possibility of a high correlation between psychopaythy and enlightenment.
