  1. Listen to your intuition. Journal. Contemplate. or my favorite method,,, EGO-BACKLASH THE FUCK OUT! But don't worry about it, a genuine growth desire might spring from the ruins afterwards.
  2. I have a cycle where I want to see my girlfriend, but she's busy so I break up with her only to come crawling back. This is horrible, in the past month I broke up with her every week and she still accepted me back, I don't know if she's going to accept me this time. I promised i will stop, but the moment she tells me "No, I wanna study at home, not at yours", I get really offended and immediately explode and dump her. I think I understand why it's happening, but the emotion keep coming back and I keep behaving in this way and feeling guilty for my own emotional pain and she doesn't deserve it. Any suggestions? Should I go to therapy? I don't think this is about her..
  3. You have to ask your self what anger is, and how does it relate to consciousness. In my experience you could be very conscious and angry at the same time. Also, the more conscious you are, the more you will LEARN from the angery. Obviously everything is perfect, so don't fall into moralizing about anger
  4. For the people that say "No, it cannot be explained because .." , Can anything be explained? Can science explain gravity? I'm pretty sure the standards you put on explanation consciousness would say no. "Yes gravity is the force that attracts stuff to stuff" - you would say this is valid explanation, but, why is it any different than "Yes, consciousness is the field of information which we are aware of" ? This goes deep, because every explanation can be satisfied on four different dimensions. In my own experience, in objective terms, in cultural, or social terms. You're probably speaking of cultural and social terms. Like, you would say science has explained gravity because it measured and model it, and most important of all, *there is a social and cultural consensus that the explanation is valid* If you find an explanation that works on your own experience, such as "All substance is made of consciousness", this might not work on a social level, because your friend might say, no consciousness isn't substance. Or, the culture will reject it because it has absolutely not value, like Einstein said even if God exists, he is not a factor in the equation, since he is all present, we can just ignore him to eliminate redundant factor. I would recommend reading Ken Wilber, and his Integral approach to this question is quite amazon in my opinion. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Integral_theory_(Ken_Wilber)#Quadrants
  5. How you survive without Beige? It's the only stage that values survival.. I think they're all necessary.
  6. This is a life long practice! So, you need to invest years into experimenting with different techniques. However, if you feel like you can't commit to any particular technique, try to stick to just a few which work for you. And if still, you find you can't even pick just a few, do however many as you like. But do it with complete involvement, and once you meet your `soul mate` technique, get down on your knees and marry it Good luck
  7. papa pls im scurd @Leo Gura
  8. Hi fellow integral fucks I wanted your take on this. In Judaism, most of the practice is about proper attachment, rather then detachment. There are so many guidelines! like 613, some of them are in form of `don;t be a woman`, etc. A third of the Buddha's teaching is about proper attachment, which is the morality part, Sila, which is basically about living life for the benefit of yourself and others around you. I'ts often said, concentration and wisdom( of nothingness) can be mastered, but the morality part cannot be and goes on forever. I'm pretty sure all tradition include some form of `proper` attachment, growing up in Israel, I hated the guts out of the orthodox Jews who were so strict with their Kosher and shabbat and that shit. But now come to think of it, how valuable this can be? Live consciously, any question about the behavior and morality is answered by the holy books, and you just follow and concentrate on being with God on the way. We here, at actualized.org often here that we are God, but yet to be aware of that, that we are nothing, but the infinite one-ness suchness that prevails all of everything and anything and absolutely infinite and benevolent. Imagine coming to terms with that, physical reality ceases to exist? everything disappears? Every time you have a conversation will you deny everything and claim "No no no, we can't have global warming because there is no planet, and warmth is a dualistic concept" I take a guess that it doesn't happen. We are stuck in this physical dualistic world so long as we are aware of it. So, detach all you want, but perhaps it will be much more beneficial to attach properly, as the Jews do, not necessary in their style, but you get the general idea. Thoughts?
  9. To whom? Your wife? Your children? The bus driver? I think being honest is the lowest common denominator!
  10. It's amazing! In my experience It's difficult to `drive` on shrooms, meaning, I can't guide my trip to meditate, or self inquiry, or anything. I start meditating, but as soon as it kicks in all goals vanish and they start teaching me whatever lesson they think I need to have. Sometimes it's not even a lesson, it's like a HUUGE emotional release tears laughter hysterically..I don't know they have their own unexpected ways. If you can guide them to the inquiry, awesome!
  11. They are apparently different. Fundamentally, all techniques aim at the same thing. "Quieting the monkey mind", "Eternal bliss" "Enlightenment" are like carrots for our donkey. Choose the carrot you prefer most and follow it, see if this path works for you, if not you are free to change it at any point.
  12. Hey guys, I know you're tired of your self-enquiry, so I wrote a script to do it for you #!/usr/bin/env bash while true; do whoami done
  13. I'm mostly vegetarian. Never that happen by intention. Usually after retreat or when I do a lot of spiritual practices, it just happens. I lose the desire for meat. Never have I looked at a hamburger and felt guilty about it being an hamburger. I like the point of this generic indian yogi dude about veganism:
  14. I can resonate with this guy's opinion. I never treid 5-MeO-DMT, but had quote a few intense shroom experience where I was praying that dualities would comes back. Space, time, self, pain, hunger, anything. I think even having a lot of experience with such states, it can get really terrifying. obviously to the ego and the limitations of it. Nevertheless. For example, I got into the state of realizing everybody's suffering is MY SOLE FAULT. That's terrifying. I trip in the street and look at people suffering and I feel responsible for that. Not only that, I KNOW I AM. Because without me to perceive their suffering they won't suffer. Even if the experience brings you truth, no matter how enlightened you are, you will be scared. Well, at least your pet ego will be. So I think this guy's point is legitimate
  15. You can set whatever role model you want. But U.G. has very unique and interesting 'teaching', his rejection of humanity and all spiritual teaching is amazing contrast to false hope given by other beings. Watch Leo's video on his blog on Skepticism, where he speaks about how skepticism leads to Enlightenment and tell me it doesn't fit exactly what U.G. is saying. Also anger is just as natural as taking a shit and crying (Even simultaneously ;D)...I wouldn't judge based on that.
  16. After hours and hours of listening to J. Krishnamurti he convinced me to quit my job in a day, then I went travelling and was introduced to U.G. Krishnamurti. And that just, radical change. I like the contrast of U.G Krishnamurti Primarily because he just rejects everything and criticizes the spiritual market place and denies all enlightenment and diets and anything you could possibly through at him, it won't stick. It's amazing. And yeah, not seriously, It just entertainment to me now..
  17. Sometimes working slower will bring results faster.
  18. Mostly audiobooks. I like to 'read' on the bus and I like that I can do it with my eyes closed
  19. I noticed something cool during my Vipassana meditations. Notice the sensation of your back, spine, etc. Is it behind you? Certainly feels so. But also not quite! If you bring your attention to the parts which are behind you, they are no longer behind you! Then, we can entertain this idea further. No just your "behind" sensations are actually in front, but all idea of having things behind you falls apart. No one is watching you from behind. There are no objects behind. No sound is coming from behind. Simply because if you bring your awareness to it, it just manifests itself in your foreground. But this begs the questions, is there anything in front of you ?
  20. There is a similar recurring motif in my trip.s It's really really frightening to me. It's starts by going so deep I start having God thoughts. I think I'm God and all of these people and beings around me are manifested by me! In this state, I look at people in two ways: Those who enjoy their life and those who don't 1. Those who enjoy it are keeping me asleep. They look at me and beg me not to wake up, because if I wake up it's all over. Every person who calls me asks me to stay just a bit longer. So I could enjoy it with them. 2. Those who don't are beginning me to wake up and end their suffering. All of my spiritual teacher are standing around me in a circle just beginning in either as prayer or as manipulative trick, all of the Gurus, Buddha's Enlightenment seems to be incomplete because he remains an idea in my head. Goenkaji Is pleeding 'Come out of it' 'Come out of it', all to end their suffering. This insights are really scary primarily because there's no way I could understand them or act upon them
  21. We often hear such criticism of low conscious people such as Trump, politicians, business men, etc. This gives us motivation to raise our consciousness and awareness of our behavior and shadow. But it confused the heck of my mind lately. As Osho said, "Mind is always confused". Nevertheless, its confusion is persistent on this topic. So I'll pose this question to the most "conscious" forum I know What do you mean by unconsciousness? Could our ego drive our consciousness as a car, just until we say "jesus take the wheel?" If consciousness is fundamental to all of our experience, what would be unconscious behavior?
  22. I have this..spiritual practice of just browsing this gallery. Thought some of you might like it as well . https://www.alexgrey.com/art/paintings/soul/
