  1. A conspiracy is when two or more people do something that breaks a law. In my opinion, anytime anyone is hurt by another, it is a conspiracy, because to me, compassion is a universal law. I do, however, appreciate the variety. 7 billion Phils would be very plain and downright boring.
  2. Who ever called it Self Help, New Age, Metaphysical or Personal Development to begin with did a lot of damage for the popularity of the category. It should be called something that when someone who needs it most hears it, it sounds like something they would enjoy.
  3. @dboyle If you did the daily practices of exercise, meditation & healthy eating, you would not observe "periods of uncertainty and doubt". Those are emotions, not events taking place in the world. Sounds like you've been looking at those emotions as if they were events, as if something outside of you were causing them. Godspeed.
  4. @aryberry It's most likely food, exercise and or meditation related, since it sounds to me like to can focus your focus. It's really shocking how much of our thinking comes from the gut. You can't learn anything that you get from meditation. You think that way because you don't meditate daily. Start. Now. YouTube Shia Labuff for further instruction
  5. @5thPablo You are right and you're friend is right. I would describe my best friend of 25 years the same way. The path to your happiness with this, and to your continued progress, and to growing your relationship with him, it to notice when you switch from focusing on your thinking to focusing on what he thinks. Just let go of what he thinks. He has his emotions, you have yours. It would serve you well to make it a practice Of focusing on your own thoughts. Be there compassionately when he needs it, but keep to your own thoughts. You're learning this stuff, you're experiencing this. He's not. He doesn't know what you know. Keep to your thoughts because you know, and he doesn't.
  6. @heisenburger Ha! NAILED IT BRO! Thanks!!!!!! @Wind I would suggest not incorporating any challenges in your visualizing. Different hints work for each of us of course. I think it's important to make a life journey in terms of the cleanliness and clarity of one' such thoughts. I am at a point where I don't need to consider the challenges because my vision is so strong that I don't encounter any. In my experience, "challenges" arise from thinking in terms of effort and completion. Because I know I am infinite, I see that nothing could ever be "done" or complete. So challenges to one person, are just the next fun thing I'll get insight and experience from to another.
  7. If you're not enjoying your thinking meditation will get you back to zero Any thoughts you're not enjoying, you added. Not being able to realize this keeps you having thoughts you don't enjoy. Meditation just helps you to realize this and choose other thoughts that are beneficial to you, that feel good. Your life unfolds from your thoughts. We have not added one thing to this earth that was,'t first a thought.
  8. OMG this is one of my favorite topics!!! Time to pretend, by MGMT. Almost any Cat Stevens song. Lazy Eye by The Silversun Pickups Madness, by Muse. Bob Dylan - Like a rolling stone. For me, this one is the most amazing example because I realized he is talking from the perspective of the non physical asking the physical experiencer - How does it feel? Stillness Speaks, Elkhart Tolle has done this at least 3 times for me. Ave Maria - I like Chris Cornell's cover. Sounds of Silence - I like Disturbed's cover. Writing things that I'm learning and discovering on my chalkboard painted wall does this in a way I never would have known. When I see, on the wall, what I learned or thought about yesterday or a few days ago, I realize an extent to which it digested.
  9. To a place of confidence in your practices and resolve in your vision.
  10. It all is what you think it is. The other day, I had to take each of my parents to seperate hospitals, then multiple trips to get food, prescriptions, etc. My day started at 6 am with dad's knee surgery and my day with the parental ended at about 7pm. I then stopped at my buddy's to have a beer with about 6 friends. When I told them what I'd been doing that day, they all acted and treated me like something terrible happened or like someone died. It hit me that I have built up a lot of momentum in how I'm seeing things. I felt revitalized by the day. I was feeling great all day because I'm able to help them, I have the physical means, it feels so good to act out compassion, I had many small opportunities to listen to PD here and there through my earbud while waiting on dr's, pills, etc. I also relished what a gift it is for me to be able to see how in control we are - how everything I was doing with the folks is routed back in their lack of healthy lifestyle and mind. What a gift. Honestly, it how you look at it. The hard part is getting through self honesty to get to a place where you sincerely see that everything is awesome.
  11. Aquifer makes a good pitcher filter. Gets fluoride out which can cost thousands if you went the home filtration system route. (Which is better overall)
  12. Things I've learned through my "sleep experiments".... Don't eat late. No caffeine after 3pm or so. Clear my mind and get a positive vision of tomorrow's opportunities right before falling asleep. Sometimes I review the awesome things from today and I look forward to them tomorrow. I have noticed that when I'm following my daily healthy practices, I need less sleep. When I'm eating less than healthy, or holding perspectives on anything that is not beneficial to me emotionally, I need more sleep.
  13. @Steph1988 Clean up your mental connotations of meditation. Your initial exposure must have given you the impression it is work or something. It a letting go practice. A me time. Relax and be with the universe time. It is where your answers will come from. The desires you want to focus more into your life will come from thin air in the middle of the day, if you meditate every morning.
  14. A good rule of thumb is to think about what you think. It's a powerful Now thing. Notice when you are trying to think about what people are thinking, it's impossible.
  15. You're adding in the labor thinking and feeling. If it's hard to just sit there then don't just sit there. Make it fun. Make everything fun. Start excercising and mediatating daily if possible. It will keep you calm and focused and you'll get more enjoyment out of everything. Porn diet?
  16. Illusions. Best little nightstand "it's all good, nothing it real" story ever. Stillness Speaks, Echart Tolle is just awesome. I read it every few years and get a whole new depth out of it. But, if you're looking for inspiration and change. Get up at 4am and grab your headphones and jam Man In The Mirror - Michael Jackson. I know how this sounds, but it's a frequency thing. It works.
  17. You said you don't remember it, soooo, you're good. Your loved ones can just wake you up. It's ok now to wake up sleep slappers. Don't eat after 7. Don't drink late. Start excercising and meditating.
  18. College is a smart plan. Also, there's lots of billionaires and millionaires that didn't go to college. Some are happy some are not. Same at all incomes. I can tell you this, and hopefully it's useful....through my thirties I assumed making more money would make me happier. I have been fortunate in that I have made a lot of money, enough to see first hand that it doesn't actually do much for me. PD is a bottomless pit. It's where life long fulfillment and happiness come from. No reason you can't make a bunch of money, but I'd say live in the now first and foremost. You're probably just being brave enought o listen to your inner self or intuition and align with it and get off the path that felt wrong to you. Have fun. Know you find what you look for. Once you know what you're looking for, don't ever stop looking. You find what you look for.
  19. @Old Soul ear drops while he's sleeping.
  20. You're the author. This is the best time ever. You can do anything you want. Find a jolt or wake up catalyst event. Do more thing you enjoy. Let go and get in touch, get connected. Consider your daily rituals. Also, btw, I'm married with three kids and living a typical life. It's wonderful. I'm fulfilled and giving love at all angles. It's awesome. Where is fun? Where is love? Where is passion? Nowhere. It's something you do. Do it. YouTube Shia Labuff for further instruction.
  21. Well, either startup a website, or be flattered. Or both.
  22. @rush If you had negative thoughts patterns about going to work and you quit and start something new, I think you would just be doing the most logical thing. Intuition would kind of be the opposite, where you would not have negative thoughts because you already knew what to do.
  23. It sounds to me like you are far enough down the path to be able to see the mechanical life (most don't), but not far enough that you realize the magnitude of the difference in consciousness. I think you should feel great about where you're at. There are 7 billion people each on there own path. I agree, the majority are in the low zone. I bet you'll start seeing the gap and getting comfy with seeing what lot of people can't see. Anyways, in short, they can't see what you can see. The right thing at the right time, and people do wake up slowly. Like, when you hear "Mars" you imagine the cosmos and an enormous planet, and they heard "Meijers". Be nice to them.
