Sounds like you need a vaca. Come back with perspective. Maybe you've been zoomed in for a little too long. It's important to zoom out once in a while.
-
Sounds like maybe you've been eating healthier too? Less sugar and or caffeine?

Listen to this song as loud as possible and let me know if it helps. Try it.

@Snick Thanks for sharing that. I really liked it. Love his voice. Profound art man. It made me that certain type of like 'humanity sad'...? Moving.

@Valentin awesome contribution. Thank you. Mooji - how could anyone not love him? What a soul.

Nahm replied to Hero in progress's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
It's a movie that came to DVD last week. It's in the sci-fi / alien category, but the movie itself is about communication. The aliens don't know English, so a communications expert and a quantum physics theorist teach the aliens some English while learning the way the aliens communicate. It came to mind because I have never seen a better example of stripping communication down to nothing and building it. It's a good movie overall as well. I won't spoil it, but in it's theme of communication, it also incorporates nonlinear time and some qm principles. -

we drop roles when we drop beliefs. all the role is, is a belief u added some where in your past about 'what you are'

i think you're rockin on the self awareness path. maybe start handing out a lot of compliments for a while. make it some research. notice peoples reactions and notice it reveals their beliefs. dig?

Do you create your reality?

Make up a symbol for you. Draw it on paper. Contemplate that it represents you - where you are, what you've been through, where you know you're going. Make it a symbol of the most important things to you. When you're done making it, really look at it and give it all the importance that you can. Say to yourself - this symbol represents me, it is me. If someone disses this symbol, they are dissing me. Then, walk outside and light the paper on fire, and let go.

@Nazar Thank you. Happy to share anything I can. I opened an insurance agency. Then reinvested the proceeds into rental houses. Did some small investments (mutual funds, etc) but the majority comes from the first 2. I had a lot of jobs before this, and one day I realized something and then changed my entire direction. While working in retail one day, a woman said to me (in reference to me going into management) - She said "It's all just people". Don't think about the products, the stores, the operations - only see the people. This made me realize everything was about my personal development. I could 'grow' myself in any business, with any products, with any service. So I picked the one that has residual income, insurance. I absolutely love it. I employ a manager (she's the best in the whole world ) My time with my business is all spent on my PD, and my teams PD. They find their PD with me, with each other, and in their interactions with our clients. Joy comes first at our agency. It's organic, infectious, and it trickles down customers. I don't know if this last comment will reach you or not, but, because we talk about PD, we rarely talk about insurance. There is a multitude of problems and hurdles that don't exist at our office, because they are symptomatic of a lack of people doing PD.

It is your perception that defines it. Choose your preference. There is no wrong or right.

Great video / post! All is perception. Mysticism becomes science, then becomes perception.

@OhHiMark thank you. The 'pressure' is cognitive dissonance in a way. The pressure you're feeling is the experience of new information (the compliment) meeting your belief, and your brain kind of saying "this shit don't fit together, here's a bad emotion to let you know something ain't right". So the path to liberation is, what is the belief you hold?

Thank you once more to everyone here. I love you. There is a speed and efficiency in gaining humility through talking in this forum that is a great gift I am enjoying. I learn so much from what everyone has to say, both about them and about myself. I learn the most when I look back on something I said and realize I was a duechebag in how I said it. So thanks for putting up with that. I wise woman I know uses a tag line.... getting better at it....getting better at it. She is very wise indeed.

I've read a lot about CEO's and what true leadership really is. What I find is, almost anyone can work hard. Lots of people can manage schedules, tasks and other people's schedules and tasks. Very few people can maintain their vision without slipping into thinking from someone else's perspective. Know that you know what you know, specifically when you see that someone you're talking to doesn't know what you know. They will sense they want to know what you know. They will follow you.

Drugs are the answer when someone is holding beliefs that they would be happier if they let go of. Drugs pause the 'itch' of the deeper knowing that they could be calm without drugs, if they pursued a little PD. Drugs pause the 'roles'. Psycadelic drugs, of course, can be used to dissolve these beliefs, but it sounds like what you're talking about ('normal people") is pot, beer, etc.

Your awareness to the 'pressure' and posting this topic to me are signs of huge progress! Many people are simply hung over today and not doing anything at all in the PD category, which is cyclical to the reason they drank so much last night. But you, you are not doing that. You are doing this. Next time someone pays you a compliment, think off that, and say "thank you". You deserve the compliments.
