  1. @Ibn Sina “Maslow’s big idea was that self-actualization was the default state for human beings. He said: ‘I think of the self-actualizing man not as an ordinary man with something added, but rather as the ordinary man with nothing taken away.’ Take a second to think about that because it may just overturn everything you ever thought you knew about Maslow's theory. In essence Maslow was saying that we are hardwired to self-actualize. The implications of this idea are astounding.” -https://www.psychologytoday.com/blog/what-doesnt-kill-us/201609/what-is-self-actualization https://www.actualized.org/forum/topic/32-what-is-self-actualization/ https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Self-actualization https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=8kV8YO4YC6w https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=dn-pmRDauK8 https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=JGw8IoqBt-c
  2. @Ether That it’s all you, and there aren’t highs or lows.
  3. @Charlotte There’s a trail of relativity as to how you got there. Dig the ‘lows’ just like the highs. Be just as present. It helps to shake out - that without thinking of this ‘you’ it’s just an experience happening, and then there’s no resistance. In that acceptance the clarity comes and we see what we did that led to that state.
  4. @Hardkill There’s a repeating thought pattern about ‘what you are’, and it’s never going to feel good because ‘you’re’ not telling ‘yourself’ the truth. Loosely, your brain is lying to your awareness. Breath focus meditation every morning, 30 mins, should be ample to slow down the thought patterns, and allow the awareness to be more present. (Are you already meditating daily?) Observing the thoughts is freeing. You are not the thoughts, and you are certainly not what the thoughts appear to imply. There is nothing in the universe more deserving of your love, than you. Is there an occurrence in the past, perhaps long ago, which ‘launched’ your intense drive, and may have adversely affected your self perception?
  5. @Shin It’s a simple two step process. Can you let go of the concept of it, and do you have a mirror? ❤️?
  6. @Fountainbleu Like reading The Power of Now and feeling better, keep going in that direction. In terms of meditation, neti neti, and self inquiry, do what you can do, as you can do it, for the immediate relaxation, freedom, and awareness of it. It would be advisable to anyone seeking enlightenment, to be present now, and not in thought about obtaining a future state. I wish you well in your continued healing and recovery. Simply listening to contemporary YouTube teachers is also helpful. If you are feeling low, Abe Hicks, Elkhart Tolle or Mooji might be ideal. If you are feeling well and looking for the insights, try Rupert Spira, etc. If you are feeling on top of the world and can handle an existential kick in the groin, check out Leo Gura. (Jk) As you know, miraculous healings are very real, sometimes they take time, sometimes they are spontaneous. Perhaps you are an example of one already ❤️ It might be useful to feel out the forum, and private message someone that you feel resonance with, and conversation with them. It may look like addressing each concern slowly, realizing one step at a time, and it might take a while. This place is loaded with people aiming to help people. My opinion, if The Power of Now moved you, you can become enlightened. You can realize that you are whole already. I believe you can.
  7. @egoless Dude. Going full circle on no self ego illusion / Self acceptance whole, and ironically fulfilling the destiny of your avatar name....freaking priceless man. Really happy for you.
  8. @egoless There is, in terms of absolute, of Self, more, beyond the fractals of nothingness.
  9. @egoless Great. Post...... Says my closet door knob (God). It’s interesting, how consistent reality appears to be.
  10. @PT89 They’re actually all right. All saying the same thing.
  11. @Ether Do 20 mins every morning. Increase it by 5 or 10 minutes as you’re comfortable, as you go. Get to an hr every morning, that’s pretty solid. Also, 5 minutes of quality meditation is better than 10 hours of poor quality. Ideally, imo, a second med in the afternoon, 20 minutes, is best.
  12. @Vladimir I’ve experienced what I am. I’m freed. I’ve never experienced anything you said in your post. Just offering a personal testimony, in hopes It is useful. It’s hard for anyone to distinguish between God, ego, personality, etc. On top of that, all distinctions are relative to all experiences. Every word anyone (me too) says, is a one off, and a lie. Thinking doesn’t resolve thinking. So the only way is straight into yourself. Disregard everything everyone says. Do the practices every morning. Consider a trip. The truth is in you, and no where else. When you discovery what you are, you’ll be done with those distinctions. Godspeed man. It’s the most worthwhile endeavor. ❤️
  13. @cle103 Thanks. One more thought...I’ve been an employer / hiring manger for over two decades now, and not once has a person ever just simply walked in and told me they want to work there and why.
  14. @Solvinden It’s your foundation. Discovering it isn’t as solid as needed. What do your morning rituals look like?
  15. So the path to enlightenment is blocked for you, by fear. That’s a lie, you just haven’t realized it yet. Another perspective is, you are too lazy to do the practices, theory, etc. You are using fear as an excuse. But, the fear is nowhere. Try to point to it. See, it’s no where. It’s you! The fear, IS, you. It is not a second thing, that could come from somewhere else and harm you. It’s you. You’re already the fear. You and the fear are one thing, the fear is not a second thing. Seein what I’m saying?
  16. @Aquarius Might be a different approach, but consider the perspective that the world appears to you exactly the way you think about yourself.
  17. @Rinne You probably have lower blood pressure than most. A good thing imo.
