@Viking You’re going back an entire year, using memories, to put yourself in a mindset, that doesn’t even feel good to you? Whatcha doin that for Viking? What’s the gain in this strategy? Yeah, it manipulates you into denial that you are choosing to keep thinking that a trip a year ago has something to do with ill feelings right now. But these are thoughts, right now. Nothing is wrong with you of course, this is simply how memories work. The question is, why are you perpetuating the victim (something is wrong with me) habits? Is there someone in your life who caters to this behavior? Are you doing this just for the attention / “awe poor guy” that you get from the forum? Bout ready to move on from that? I think you are more than ready, and just needed to be aware that you’re doing this. You’re so much more capable, powerful, loving and unconditional than this. Let go of such small thinking. That’s old habit.

Live this life for you, like you do for others. Stop beating up on yourself. It’s two steps forward, one step back. You’re better than that, far better than you have ever given yourself credit for. This is the crux of the issue. Pragmatically, 2pm is the ‘tired hour’. You should be lettting go, loving yourself, encouraging yourself during that time. Meditate first thing in the morning. Adopt the personal rule, that you do not think, at all, about anything, in the first hour & in the last hour of your day. Stay away from carbonated beverages, sugar, bread, and unhealthy carbs. Do these things in love of yourself. Understand your over thinking by watching your son. He’s having no “ I “ thoughts of self doubt. Just curiously in love with you and the world.

@Superfluo You are having a dream. In this dream you sit down and meditate, and you realize you are the dreamer, not the character. Then, you get to live the rest of this life, knowing it’s a dream - wIthout fear & doubt, without falsity, without overthinking.

@Elysian Sounds like you’ve been listening to someone who is retarding their own desire and stifling their own creativity. Maybe consider not listening to that person anymore, and notice they are coming from a place of lack and resistance in their life, and probably resenting you a little.

@Shan There is a moment to be had via qm’s where one realizes science is saying the same thing as enlightened masters always have. I suppose the “secret” is that science flips as a paradigm in it’s entirety, if we look into it. A lot of people have heard this, but almost none have experienced this “secret”.

@abrakamowse This is just how tricky and deep rooted thought is, and the conditioning of our culture. The “money problem” (future) doesn’t actually exist. Notice how if I said in one week, you will have ZERO pocket lint....you’d probably not really think much about it. But replace pocket link with money, and you’d swear, right now, it was no longer an issue with overthinking, and an actual real problem. But “pocket lint” and “money”, right now, are actually equally powerless thoughts. Can you really feel that difference in this moment? How one feels heavier, more important - but is just a thought, same as the other? Which do you want to be putting first; how you feel right now, or a thought about future/money? Maybe you have made a habit of thinking, “I’ll feel better now, when I have more than enough money for the future?

@Shin Call me crazy, but make a practice out of it. Commit to 30 minutes of seeing the world, out at the grocery store, etc, and everyone in it, as it’s mother. They’re all still kids. Don’t be fooled by appearance. You are still it’s mother, don’t be fooled by that appearance either.

@abrakamowse That’s great it’s identified! ?? I remember when I was at this place where I started noticing how my energy / mood was always reactive to how those around me were behaving / being, and in general my energy was dictated by the highs and lows of my life, my day, if it was Friday or Monday, if I had things I was looking forward to, if I was holding a ‘good vibe’ vision of where life was headed, etc. Essentially, sometimes I was clear on a thought vs direct experience, but mostly I was reacting, still. When a thought or concern involved money, it was as if it had unique precedence like “well I’m a money worry/thought, so I cut right through to the front of the worry line - I’m a real problem, so we’re gonna justify worrying on this one - it’s a real / serious thing, it’s not that spiritual stuff”. Can you relate to that or no?
