  1. Maybe tweeking the perspective on that....would shed light on this.... I would consider that thought is very different in nature than sensations, and that thought is makes up a story to make the sensation fit the existing understanding / paradigms. Thought doesn’t help thought. The sensation is the experience of the relativity of the truth that you are, and the false thought(s), or perspective in which you’re looking at some person, some circumstances, or your own capabilities. So, rather, look at the sensation as a direct communication or message, on it’s own, directly from your higher self. Choosing a thought that feels better, aligns with all that you are. In the long run, your continued practices, and discovery of deeper truth through inquiry, will reduce the thinking, realize a great spaciousness, and enhance the alignment / connection with the rest of you. Another way to say that is the ego is kept alive with thinking, and when you start tapping into knowing the sensations directly, ego will throw everything at you to get your attention. It is exactly as clever and as tricky as you. It can be hard to face, to be aware of how clever and tricky we are, but that is how the devil is transcended. One devil at a time. A personal excorsicm here & there is all part of the proccess, and worthwhile.

  3. Surrender. Let anger out. Let crying out. Let everything go until there is only now. As the presence in which these purges and purification’s unfold, be mindful not to attach to any one emotion, or to conceptualize a long term, from a passing short term state of mind. There is a tremendous amount of love in you, and it’s totally normal to be initially terrified & overwhelmed. You might say falsity is surrendered, and character and resolve arise in that vulnerability. Paraxically being without armour is authentic strength, and heather & happier. The ‘purge’ can be rough. It’s all worth it, all like it should be. All is well.

  7. @MM1988 Sounds lovely. What law of attraction teacher did you learn from? Also, I think you have well misunderstood Stoic Negative Visualization. It is about appreciation, and gratitude. ANother path to the same, as law of attraction.

  14. @LiakosN Infinite alone self (One / You), are limiting your infinite self, to create the appearance of Two; to create a universe, a person, a world - a life. Fooling yourself into thinking and believing you are person, and are with “other people”. All of this is done using you ; a magical, mystical, unexplainable “ __________ “. Once you are convinced you’re the person you’re creating, you can see that indeed you are still Infinite, by being aware of the infinite nature of the imagination. From the infinite imagination, arises, in appearance, in linear dualistic fashion, or, one at a time - thoughts. If the thought is - unified or true to the actuality of this - , from a perspective of connection, whole, synchronistic, “I am everything” “I am nothing” - unifying in nature - then it feels good, because it is true. If the thought is of separation and therefore not true to the actuality of this, - from a perspective of “I am a finite thing, a part and not the whole” or “I am only a body / brain” or “I am alive & I will die” - then you forgot what you are. This is rigid, causing tension in the body, creating the need to let go and relax the body. With the mind, scan the body, just as it is. Be aware of any areas of tension. Take big breaths and breathe slowly. Allow your entire body to sink into gravity - feel the relaxing effect. Feel into the body. Feel the muscles relax, - relax deeper and deeper. Remember. To see how “the loop” works: Forget everything you just read by getting caught up in thinking that you are not what is aware of thinking, seeing, objects - thinking you actually ARE one of the objects - by identifying with the object: body & thoughts. Go back to the top. Quite funny, in understanding, no?

  18. @Pure Imagination The goal is not the practices, they are a means, but not to a goal, to nothing but the truth. Investigating & deconstructing each thought & pattern, they naturally cease as the spaciousness they arise in is more prevalent. Let go, until only the truth remains, only the spaciousness. Thoughts are rooted in falsity, - that thoughts are needed is also a thought. Saf. Start with awareness of the identity+past & identity+future thoughts. See the identification in the thought, or, that a “you” is placed in a little scene in your head, as a thought. The ‘scene’ takes place in the past, or future - and we “exit” the ‘scene’ (our life) taking place right now. Awareness of this brings clarity to thinking via an “identity”, and it dissolves in understanding (through investigation/inquiry), which brings presence now, mindfulness now, as in immediately. If it takes practice, that’s perfect too. Thoughts are like static while the song of now is playing, and you ‘tune in’ by counter intuitively letting go of the dial, and relaxing. If it takes you a while to ‘let go of the dial’, that’s perfect too, the song will play regardless. All is well. Thought is sneaky. Even though letting go feels intuitively and viscerally pleasing & connective, thinking patterns which have been repeated many times can be strong enough to override, keeping us tense & serious. Identification+past = A thought which repeats the past, inserting it into now, and feels like shame, guilt, fear, depression, regret, anger, etc. All self diminishing in nature. All just repetition of thoughts about the past. Identification+future = A thought which is worrisome about the future, inserted into the now, and feels like worry, self doubt, fear, anxiety, etc. All self diminishing in nature. All just repetition of thoughts about the future. The difference in thoughts arising is a reduction of 99%, via no more falling for the maya of identification, and identification with the past & future. The nature, the understanding, of the 1% of thoughts still arising, is now, it is without all the paradigms, thought trees, identification, without doubts, fear, guilt, shame, anger, worry, seriousness, tension, anxiety, depression. It is without self diminishment. It can be eye opening just to consider the amount of thinking, that overthinking actually is. Something so simple as picking a better thought, trusting the bodily sensation of “better”, of alignment, leads to the truth. But this is difficult to see through duality, and through the confusion and circus of that 99% of thoughts. But it’s worthwhile. The most simple things are revealed to be the most powerful. When we’re all done living through story in ‘in our heads’, the story that is our life is revealed to be far more worthy of interest, and our attention was the most powerful force all along.
