@Shir Breathe deeply from your stomach and relax your body, head to toes, over and over. That’s your thing from now on. You are a stomach breather, and you relax. THEN you proceed. You op sounds to me like you need to understand what you can change, and what you can’t change. What you can control, and what you can’t control. You’ll feel great just getting some clarity on that. Get a piece of paper and a pen, and make two columns. “Can Control” & “Can’t Control”. Be honest, and write the things on your mind down on the paper, in one column or the other. It’ll feel pretty good just to get this stuff out of your head and on paper. Then you’re in a bird’s eye view, and things appear much clearer. Then, pick just one thing you can control. It might be eating healthy. Pick one little change. An example might be, instead of buying / eating Cheetos, I’ll buy bananas. Just do that one small change. Notice the feeling of empowerment from that one small change. Focus on that feeling, hone into it, milk it, expand it, get to Know that feeling. Then, in a day or two, pick one more little change. This may sound trivial, or insignificant, but I assure you - you making even the tiniest changes, and seeing that you are indeed in control of everything needed to get feeling better - that is the most powerful force there is. It is in me, and it is in you. Don’t bullshit either of us. Tap into it. It is as simple as just getting started, with one little change. Also....if I’m hearing you right, you made a common error. You started a belief: “I can’t be happy without X”. Sounds like for you, X is kids and or a significant other. But, of course, guess what... Kids are great one day, and bust your balls the next - they make you happy and not happy. Significant others are lovely one day, and a pain in the ass the next - they make you happy and not happy. The point is, lasting, true happiness will not come from anyone, or anything. It will come from you, taking care of you, and loving you enough to start to get a little disciplined about making some changes, and taking better care of yourself. If this is right for you, if it’s helpful, pm me anytime. This will pass, everything does. It is flat out awesome how good you will feel, from just starting some changes.

@purerogue Well said man. @SoonHei You got the theory down and then some. More is not progress. IMO, you are at peak thinking - the ceiling of thought. Now, transcend the thinking, into awareness. What’s your plan? A new practice? A retreat? Psychedelics? Is ”I don’t know” where you’re at? What’s the plan? -
Nahm replied to LiakosN's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@LiakosN Maybe you’ve just been asleep, unconscious, doing some lower conscious things that you don’t want to keep doing. Then you decided to do something about this. ??The practicing might be increasing awareness. When awareness increases, it does so in whole, or, accross everything. So, more awareness of the enjoyable things, no problem. But becoming more aware of things you’re doing that you don’t want to do, or becoming more aware of negative self talk that you are tired of - that feels depressing. Why? As you continue to practice, you continue to raise awareness. With more awareness, you’re not going to keep those unconscious conditioned behaviors going. So, they are going to stop. They are a part of you, and when you stop repeating them, that part of you starts dying. Nobody, and not even a repetitive part of anybody - dies without a fight. We are programmed to survive. The depression is like mourning. Like something is actually dying. Let it die. Why? Cause love is what’s “pushing it out”, or “purifying you”. Love fills in where that action or behavior dies. Why’s it gotta suck so bad though? You’re being brave. You are caring about yourself, more than you were. You’re facing the fear. If it was easy, everybody would do it. Almost nobody does it though. But you are. There’s some beliefs you identified with about yourself. They were never true. They didn’t feel good. Let love clean em out. Remember - the practices are not causing the suffering. You were already suffering, that’s why you started practices. So stick with it. You’re already suffering - get something out of it. Don’t quit. One day, I promise you, somebody will be suffering in exactly the same way. There are only two outcomes. You went through it, so you know, and you can help them - even if it’s just the knowing, the conviction in your voice which they sense and think - well, if he could do it, maybe I could to. The other option is, you quit. And you don’t know. The breathing might be the right practice, another might be better, I don’t know - but the bigger picture here is, you’re done with somethin. You had enough and you’re doing something about it. I know it’s hard, but don’t quit. You are worth it. Don’t settle for ‘depressed’ either. Really let go. Scream, cry, yell, do push ups - whatever. But, let it out. Love is on the way, you will see. -
I can change anything in my life, it seems hard when I think of a lot of changes. I’ll pick one. I’d like to try some different fruits and veggies, and see which ones I like. It’d feel good to just start a healthy change. It’d feel good just to start exercising. If I just do 10 push ups and 10 sit ups, I bet I’d feel good that I started. Tomorrow, maybe 11. Maybe I’ll message a couple friends, and just say hi. Maybe ask them how they are. I’ll pick the one thing I’d like to start a change with, and make a post asking for suggestions. That would be a change in itself in the direction I want. I’ll pick one book today that I’d like to read. Tomorrow, I’ll read 10 pages. I bet I’ll feel really great just seeing how a little each day starts to add up. I’ll begin to acknowledge I’ve had some negative thinking patterns. I know I can do one little change at a time. If I feel overwhelmed, I know I can relax my body and breathe for a few minutes. After a while, I know things won’t feel to overwhelming. I know I could use a little discipline in how I use my time. I remember why I want to make these changes. I’ll hang something, or set some reminders. I know if I am reminded often of what I want, I’ll start to naturally feel some inspiration. I think I’ll be ok. I know it would serve me well to be patient with myself, and it’s ok if I get frustrated. I can always take a break for a minute. I learned a lot from procrastination. I learned not to go too fast, and to think kindly of myself. I learned it’s better to read one or two pages, than to think about reading 100 books. (That kind of inner game)

All you’d have are answers, words. Instead.... What is awareness? -

@Arkandeus The hardest, most worthwhile things to learn, often start with, “fuck that!”. -

@TheAvatarState “Other-than-the-absolute-sense” is your illusion, is what was pointed to. Of course I understand your narrative. It was just a pointer of nonobjective reality. ??? You really, actually, literally, are, the “screen”. -
Nahm replied to Arkandeus's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Arkandeus Loa is most elusive because you are the dreamer, dreaming, and are thus creating by default - effortlessly. Look for this proccess of creating, and you can not find it. It’s not a process, it’s you. First, see your choices led you here. Then see your attention is the springwell of all creation. Then, begin creating the life you actually want, simply, - painstakingly simply - one unresistant choice at a time. Or don’t. ?? Wonderer, worshipper, lover of leaving. It doesn't matter. Ours is not a caravan of despair. Come, even if you have broken your vow a thousand times. Come, yet again, come, come. -Rumi, Sufi -1250 AD -

@TheAvatarState If I may sir, the evolution you speak of is yet anther “pre-conceptualizing” of the experience ‘Now’, the - actuality of being. Evolution is a cover story, not something which happened. It is like a rollercoaster, which twists and turns, but upon dropping you off - it disappeared, it was never there - danger, is movie. -

Learning as we go. -
@DayProv Yes. Use what’s learned to help someone. Everybody wins. Also try not learning at all, and repeating the same things everyday. This way you’ll know the difference for yourself, from direct experience.

The resistence you’re sick of, stop addding it. Think in positives. Wanted.

Nahm replied to LoveandPurpose's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@LoveandPurpose Take care of the body, learn about everything you’re interested in, actually create the life you dream of from your deepest desires. Discover who you really are - self actualization & spirituality are one and the same. Love the “ego”. Love yourself entirely. All is you, there’s no such actuality as “dis identification” (that‘s ignorance - “ignoring”, love instead). There’s no “ego”, so there’s no “healthy ego”. That is ignoring, look and love instead. There’s not two to switch between, you are, and have only ever been, the one. No offense, but it seems desire is where your confusion / self misunderstanding is occurring. -
