Nahm replied to OmniYoga's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@OmniYoga You’d have to be conscious while sleeping. And generally speaking, you are never ‘there’. -

A ‘kid’ (consciousness) creates who / what beliefs and identifies. Kids don’t create consciousness. Drops don’t create water. It’s not a product of the brain, it creates an appearance of a finite brain, appearance of beliefs, identification, etc. In actuality is it all infinity (you)...appearing finite (as you). Nothing like machines or robots, that is a shortcoming in perception. One cell appeared to divide and became your body. That is not actually possible. Keep that in your brain as you look at it. Lol. “Observation of others not direct experience”....you’re on the right track there. Also consider what you experience of another person, the sight, sound, etc. Then compare that to your experiencing of being you. Nothing alike. And don’t allow yourself to ‘chalk it up to’ not having a memory of it. How can you flame you are you, and that is your body, if you have no direct expereince of this? -
@123456789 It all boils down to light (and theoretically the speed of light) and no one can know what it is because we do too. The punchline is that it’s actually your own self imposed limitation.

@SQAAD Getting familiar with these and being willing to be aware of when you do them is a great start. https://www.simplypsychology.org/defense-mechanisms.html

@OmniYoga Was it your body before you could sense it? What about when it was just one cell? -
Nahm replied to Paul92's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Paul92 You will be fine man. Thinking won’t do for all these answers you’re looking for. Only direct experience will satisfy. It takes a while to embrace paradox. Be patient. -
@Emerald So glad to hear. ☺️

@Aakash What could there be for Perfection to do? Perfect and perfect does not = an experience. Like blue in a blue room, can’t see blue. Our true nature is arising in all things. How could it be any other way? ..what is, is “made of” What Is. The experience, ‘now’, is enough. Where can we rush to? Only back to the perfection, but this is It! It is fun to forget who we are. It is perfect. The set up get’s us thinking....that’s how the punchline is funny. ???

What about seeing a woman, and not adding thinking (particles, etc)...? You might call this actually seeing a woman. Right now you’re seeing your conceptions. (Overthinking) “Particle” is a thought. Unless of course, you are about to make a case that you are actually seeing particles. I doubt that. I think you are seeing women. There’s really no such things as “particles”. It’s entirely wholly conceptual. Perhaps “sex drive” was utilized as a distraction from experiencing emotions more deeply, and you are allowing more emotional exploration now, and feeling some relief from that relentless thinking with the little head so to speak. Also, Neti Neti is your practice dude. Find the true self within. Stop believing the thoughts which suggest you have realized things which you have not yet realized. Thoughts about are tricksters, surface level activity doing a cheap hollow impression of the deeper richer experience to be had. (Ego does not care for ignorance. Authenticity thrives in awareness of it)

@Nahm Last generation of men be like “bury it!”, “drink it away!”, “blame woman, kick the dog!”, “God damn president doesn’t know what he’s doin!”, “my boss is so incompetent!”. Sneaker fuckers. That made all this though. For us, basically.

@Paul92 Lost in direct experience, truly, what is a problem? What is a concern? It does not even arise. The separate self is made of thoughts patterns / habit. Separate self = overthinking = suffering. It was created in the spirit of protection, but it was created via identification with the body. This is how we each create fear / delusion. Therapy, meditation, creative expression, a sense of purpose and a worthwhile future - the separate self hates this stuff. A mind in motion tends to desire no change. It perpetuates “itself”. A thought can not feel. Void of feeling, thought creates weird things, like fear. Allowing thought & emotion unification, will purge & purify us. This is going through our fear, seeing what we really are. Then what need arises for focus?

@Paul92 I agree. There is an autopilot of ‘sleep’, living life conceptually, via unaddressed overthinking, perpetuated by unaddressed emotional suppression (fragmentation). Learning an instrument well, and singing, is the best practice ime to transition from overthinking / conceptual life, to direct experience of life now, or ‘flow’. I suspect the ‘auto pilot’ you are referring to is no-mind. I think what the OP refers to is overthinking, but is not yet acknowledged as such. The difficulty, respectfully, in leaving overthinking / conceptual life, is of course, the identification of the false, “separate self” will be discarded for the real ‘thing’. It is not a light subject, especially to men - this “letting go of how important I am because of how much I know, and how awesome my conceptualizing is compared to other people”. Further so, when the conceptualization has “included” (not actually, just falsely) the emotions - that is a very deep trap, and I would not wish it upon anyone.

@PaulK How’s your overthinking on a scale from 1 -10? How many mornings in a row have you meditated (stomach breath focus & letting all thought pass)? How long is each meditation?

Nahm replied to ShugendoRa's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@ShugendoRa Go. Sit in the pew. Enjoy the serenity. Be aware of their self imposed suffering. Understand the nature of it. Keep your focus on breathing from your stomach, relaxing your body head to toe over and over. Let every arising thought go. It is only resistant thinking, and you can let it go. Realize you can be at peace, aligned with your true self in any situation. One in which God is thought to be judging you, is a most ideal teaching environment. One day your parents will ask about your ever present inner peace, your acceptance, your uncondition. They will want to understand as you understand. They will want to know as you know. They will not make the connection regarding their own thought patterns of self disparagement, their beliefs and judgements of self & other, and they will ask you. Until then, there is no need to say a thing. All is Well. -
Nahm replied to positivevibes's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@positivevibes Sing like you’re alone, go carefully about life. (Care - fully). Let your positive vibes out. If I’m being honest, I don’t feel them from you yet. Liberate yourself. Don’t wait. Meditate where you want. How you want. When you want. -
@Shaun The help needed is with psychology, perspective. The ego likes to rule everyone, everything, and every solution out - and then proceed. Doesn’t feel good though, because the heart knows better and is inclusive, humble, and willing. The ego is conceptual and does not feel. So if you want to be right, be right. Godspeed. If you want to feel better...take the psychological help. You got this man. One moment, that’s all you’re tasked with. God’s love does not decide worthiness. We do. “I drew a line - I drew a line for you, and it was all yellow”

Particles or waves, up to you. In either case, it is The Light. -
Nahm replied to EmptyInside's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@EmptyInside Outside validation may be right, self validation may be right, surrender of the conceptuality of validation may be right. “Right”.....accordance with authenticity, in honesty. Nothing can make a flower bloom, yet to do so the flower is dependent upon everything else. -
Nahm replied to kieranperez's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@kieranperez Keep up the good work. Not skipping a day & experiencing the emotions more and more will make sense of the thought loops/cycles. The reason the overthinking keeps going is because in a way, thinking lost access to emotions. You’re healing this. Reactional thinking, knee jerk sensations & emotions, triggered expressions, etc, all stop. It’s very very tranquil & quit ‘inside’. Instead of ‘thoughts’, you have insights. Instead of separating from and returning to your source, you’re home for the duration. Keep doing everything you’re doing. Do not beat up on yourself. I don’t mean that just to be encouraging. Seriously, you have to be aware of cutting down yourself, and anyone else or you be taking two steps forward, one step back. Allow for the natural conceptual reinterpretation as you go this deep. How you think about things matters very much. Let the emotions melt your heart and change your views and ways of thinking. This requires a flat out internal Trust fall, remaining as ever-present awareness. Welcome that fear, embrace it - thank it. It inspired and motivated a lot in your life. It got you this far. See that it served you well. It is like saying goodbye to an old friend indeed. It served it’s purpose very well imo. Take even more comfort in the present moment, in that there is no “done”. Letting go is an art, always refining. And the sadness you mentioned, that is the fulcrum. The deep end of the pool for sure. Allow the water works man. Let that shit out. -
