  1. @Farnaby What is the true nature of an electron?
  2. @Amit When I am saying direct experience, I am talking about what is actual right now, rather than any concepts.
  3. @Amit The first ‘thing’ to recognize, is that the greatest tool possible - inspection of direct experience - has been hijacked in thought and conceptualized. That likely sounds like a harsh thing to say, but imagine you were on a plane. Continuing to pretend the plane isn’t hijacked is an approach, a way you could go about it...but you would certainly not get to where you want to be going.
  4. Is that feeling from direct experience of losing and or dying...or from your belief about potentially losing and or dying?
  5. How would you define infinity, to arrive at these? Could infinity define itself?
  6. @Into The Void Beautiful. ☺️
  7. When you go to sleep and have a dream at night, all meaning, seeing, hearing and thought are not actually ‘individual things’, or anything happening...but rather are one whole experience of dreaming, made of the dreamer, or, the ‘dream substance’ of your mind. As in, the actuality of ‘stuff’ in the dream is that it is mind, appearing as dream things. When you wake up in the morning, it’s pretty clear there wasn’t anyone seeing, hearing, or thinking, because that was all in and of the dream. You didn’t actually see or hear any ‘thing’, but a dream of there being ‘things’. Within seconds or minutes of waking up you can’t really even remember it. It’s the same as if it hadn’t happened at all, because it’s was you, and you’re presently you, not dreaming anymore. However, you would want to consider that the sleeping at night & the waking up in the morning could also be the dream, or mind ‘substance’ still at play. You could verify this isn’t a dream of infinite mind, by finding the actuality of separation between finite things, and the separate physical individual living in physical reality perceiving the things, who’s sleeping at night, and dreaming.
  8. @SeekingFreedom Weird way to frame it up you’re employing. How does deception feel to you? Would you say it’s your true nature, as in it sits well with you / you’re deceptive?
  9. As literally & specifically as you can muster from inspection....what is “it”? (Seeking clarification as not to assume.) How do know that? Hat’s off to you btw, for ‘doing the work’, taking a look.
  10. Appears to be. Consider...if there is infinite...that inherently means there isn’t “finite”. It’s the whole of experience right now. Needing to be, or reaching a high state of consciousness, such as having a mystical or peak state experience is one way to go about it. Another is letting go of thought attachment, no longer believing thoughts. Both is kind of ideal maybe. That’s great. You’re aware of the reactions...are you aware of a you which is reacting, or is that ‘you’ being assumed? Maybe you’re not aware of things that are not you. Maybe it’s all you, and the reactions ‘cover that up’ so to speak. To draw attention to it, that you might consider, in spite of appearance, there is no reaction because there are not two...there’s no separation between what you might call the catalyst of the reaction, and the reaction. The entirety of experience is one ‘substance’. Quantum mechanics is great for expanding the mind to realize this. Superposition, double slit, Schrodinger’s cat, Heidelberg's uncertainty principle, entanglement, etc. You might say the change is the surrendering of the thoughts, beliefs & ideas that you are in actuality...and then therefore beginning to realize you are actuality. (Or what the word points to, if you will) That all is actually Being...Infinite Being...appearing as separate things, and the concepts ‘themselves’ of ‘separate things’. Scrutinize in observance, in direct experience, as well as theoretically with QM’s...find any actuality of separation beyond any assumptions and or fooling of the senses. Yes, experientially, but there isn’t one to fade away. Imagine watching a movie where identification / identity ‘fades away’ and the character is experiencing that....while you are knowing it’s a movie, of which the only actuality is the screen appearing as what is believed to be ‘a character’ and ‘the movie’. The false identity is perpetuated now, and there is only now. You are the ‘substance’ that is Now. Thoughts appear about the character (self referential thinking) and thoughts appear about a past (memory). These thoughts only appear now. If the thoughts are believed, attached to...the story, or movie & character seem to be actual. If the thoughts are not believed, what is seen to be actual is that the entirety is only actually appearing to transpire now...an appearance .....’happening too to no one, because there are not two. Without two components, there is no “reaction”. (One ‘thing’ reacting to another ‘thing’.)
  11. @CVKBT Infinite can not know finite. Infinite appears as finite , & identifies as finite. Infinite, aware of this “identity” can see through it. There is less & less reaction & identifying, as there is less & less believing perspectives of twoness...and ultimately there never was “reaction” (oneness). That is, one is never actually reacting, but only interpreting & believing as such. It feels so because of the very falsity of the interpretation. The, “it’s because of him, her, this, or that...that I feel this way and am behaving this way” factor. The ignorance at play is not bad per se, it’s simply because infinite can not know finite.
  12. @Amit The fear is pretend too.
  13. @beastcookie Everything you’re saying makes sense when you acknowledge it’s just thoughts. That none of it has any truth to it, including your first thought, that there are people, let alone the next thought, that there are enlightened people. Not sure you’re appreciating the profundity of what you’re talking about yet. Judgement is so subtle & sneaky. Some use models wrapped around the idea.
  14. My face & my physical body are thoughts. Things, is actually just a thought. I’d consider the opposite of integration...letting it go, completely, and being present only here now. Recognizing it as thought, and letting it go as such, breaks the repetition of trying to “make sense of it”...which is really trying to reconcile how that experience could be possible given that you are a physical individual thing. It doesn’t integrate, it reveals the beliefs that can be let go, or seen as, beliefs. (Thought attachment & identity) Great work btw!
  15. @somegirl Anytime. Now I’m wondering...what with you having made a post about it etc...maybe....you....kinda sorta....like that guy...?
  16. Just a perspective here, a ‘for what it’s worth’...the things Leo stated on this thread are deeply true and powerful, and I wonder if you’re hearing it / letting it in / letting yourself really actually hear that. You’re doing the work - this is still ‘the work’. I have a hunch it is bringing some beliefs about yourself to the surface to be seen and released...which aren’t yet recognized as beliefs. That’s the tricky nature of self beliefs - the one holding them thinks they’re true. It takes a while, and some suffering, to see. It’s all very worth it. That the past exists, let alone has any influence or bearing on now, is all belief - believing appearing thoughts / aka ‘thought stories’ of a ‘me’. There is a very emotional ‘process’ of release of misunderstanding, going from the ‘there is a past & I’m physical’ paradigm...to the realization there is one eternal moment, and you are that / this. Much understanding arises, just after the releasing of misunderstanding. It ‘works that way’ because you are the understanding. Doesn’t usually happen all at once, so I’m using the word ‘process’. I’d consider reading what Leo again when you have some time later when you can let go (cry like a baby really). Every road without exception leads back to love. Love yourself, love the process, love were you’re at, love the feeling of eager for more, of going even deeper, of releasing even more, of realizing more, of understanding more. Only love will do, because only actual you will do. No thoughts about you will do. I used to experience like that also. There are endless perspectives about anything, but this comes to mind...there’s two ways of going about that.... continuing to avoid feeling believing the simple thought trick of “I” get “it” (when I’m alone), which is what suffering is. There’s not-two. There is not an “I” and an “it”. Go the opposite route, that of ‘having had enough suffering’ - being more than willing, inquisitive even, and feeling into feeling, so to speak. No longer internally avoiding feeling, but realizing everything you have ever done, and everything you will ever do - is for the sake of feeling. Be done with the hamster wheel of thought stories...feel directly. Again, wishing you the very best, sending loving vibes.
  17. @communitybuilder Not sure if you’ve seen this. Pretty interesting. Notice ‘she’ makes concessions to his potentially limited views of identification, time, etc. The facial micro expressions are pretty revealing imo.
  18. @Michael569 ??? I’d contemplate how he feels, likely, he feels hurt. I’d look for any assumptions made, like that he looks at social media. He probably had feelings for you and was believing you had feelings for him, and was upset to find you had a boyfriend. Depending on emotional maturity, some guys will recoil and have a chip on their shoulder, and some guys take it lightly & can communicate their perspective and express what’s going on with them. More generally, in regard to contemplating any situation, practice feeling yourself into other’s shoes.
  19. If it’s anxiety, it’s perspective(s) / suffering. If it’s pain, go to a Dr and have some tests done. If it’s not actually pain, but suffering / anxiety, you might be looking for specifics in your life to make sense of it, but it might be a rather traditional suffering of the beliefs and perspectives of the separate self, ultimately rooted in the fear of death. Can never be sure online, but if you think like you type, you’re thinking of a myself and haven’t noticed now / awareness aware of, is the ‘myself’. Maybe reconsider that thought / “illusion” question. Best of luck. ??
