  1. From unconscious thinking comes unconscious activity. Do really you want to end up doing a disservice for you and others? But yeah, think about this. Is it really suffering that you want, and don't just take the first thought for an answer.
  2. I use my phone too and thankfully I rarely use my phone in a distracting way.
  3. I don't think a "no pain no gain" attitude is necessary. There will be pain to go through when you start doing things, but it doesn't have to be something to shoot for.
  4. For me being an introvert mostly means avoiding negative influences from people. If I have to pretend then it's draining to be around people. Of course the pretending is up to me to a degree.
  5. Sure, but normies often have their most pleasant feelings of connection coming from their relationships. Should people go and get a wife? That stuff is really just irrelevant. It's for people who do not seek to raise their consciousness. There isn't much point in arguing about these things or about what's the right thing for him to do in life. He is not interested in actual improvement and truth. He's interested in those comfy things. You can start seeing how people aren't really interested in a way of living that would be in any way optimal if it doesn't fit their ready made values.
  6. Us ourselves are a thing. The identity is a thing. So it's completely valid to be attached to it and it is the case.
  7. That's great man. I'm just saying be sure it's not a mania phase
  8. Make sure to actualize those.
  9. @DustOfEarth With more and more personal development that excitement and passion you have towards video games will also be found in other things that are also "more beneficial". Since you've probably played video games a lot you might have a comfortable and confident zone there. That can be translated into other fields as well. This just used to be the case for me.
  10. I think he means that language and thinking with words is limited and won't end up solving all of our issues and we can evolve past that. I could be wrong though, I haven't read his books. All senses are equal unless we create levels of importance for it, which would be a subjective creation. Not some objective truth.
  11. Sure you can pursue video games but there are a billion times better things out there. You will get the same things multiplied elsewhere.
  12. Just let go. No but doing normal meditation and self-inquiry gets you towards that. Highs are not meant to be held onto.
  13. I mainly see them as introductory things that make meditation more easily digestible.
  14. Surely anyone can be mentored and would be helpful to, but at the same time you can be so serious and dedicated about personal development that you'll find one or any necessary advice eventually. My friend (or should I say hot witch girlfriend ) who has done some witchcraft said that she can sense another witch's energy within 5 kilometers. So there are even that kind of ways to find a mentor.
  15. Well be glad you're here now. Meditating and all that stuff will fix all of these problems for you.
  16. It doesn't matter that much which stage you're in. You can also read a book about them if you're interested. I'd focus on what I need to improve to advance.
  17. I couldn't stand a normal life. Doing things for bad purposes.
  18. If they're new to everything it takes too long if they haven't already started. Better to just be alone or find someone else. When it comes to how you just have to learn how to maneuver around their ego defenses when introducing them to things. Having a balanced pace with it. I think if it's something that's not too serious and committed it might have mostly good sides. But if it's serious, living together and committed it's not going to work better than being alone. I think one of the benefits is learning how to be more compassionate and loving towards yourself and they can act as a mirror for you. If they are someone you're honest with, it can be helpful for recognizing your illogical patterns. I don't know if this is the biggest issue but the other person surely won't understand you. Their view of life is different and if you also want to help them, they will have to adapt or they will just become upset. And as I said about 5. it takes a long time to teach someone who doesn't know anything.
  19. I recommend Leo's book list for understanding more. Even his videos help, but it takes a long time to watch them all.
  20. I don't think notes from at least Leo's videos would be useful. At least for any of the newer ones.
  21. Really inspiring story. Thanks for sharing
  22. Do self-inquiry to better understand what a distraction is.
  23. You remember how creativity and enlightenment go hand in hand a lot? This would make it logical that forcing your muse is exactly what makes it die. Being detached and open allows ideas to flow in freely. Of course it's still not always the time for writing a lot of stuff. It has to be aligned with your higher self if you want to write a lot of high quality things.
  24. Would you accept yourself if you were using those words right now? Probably not. I'd assume you've heard something about not judging or not holding things as right or wrong in a black and white sense. I'd recommend having a more compassionate and loving approach to not react in such a negative sense. Once you accept the phenomenon you can actually gain motivation from seeing these people. Because you will see that you can do things to help them or if not especially them you will be able to at least help people with this in the future. It might still look very painful, but at least you can help them although it might mean improving yourself first of all.
