+1 for the thread deletion thing. if we're talking about Truth, we have to be very careful not to turn this environment into a dogmatic context. hell, isn't this kind of immature attitude the daily practice of low consciousness institutions like medieval catholic churches etc? -
@Charlotte read it slowly, as if you were ingesting some kind of heavy medicine.

breathe consciously.

mankind is not mature enough for my ideas yet...

huge ego entails huge self protective barriers and stinky self-sabotaging patterns

oh, the ego... you're so awesome. what an inspiring life! such toughness! such manliness! very testosterone!

@Odirachris start slowly. first, be mindful while you sit still. then, practice it while you do simple tasks like washing dishes or cleaning the floor. then practice it while you walk around. then practice it while you listen to people etc go from simple to complex. -
@Alexo45 sit down and stay with your pain until is stops hurting. find the discomfort in the body and feel it. stop running away from it like a little baby. and, as it hurts, ask yourself what the nature of discomfort is. seriously, what's discomfort made of? use it as a tool to get in touch with your deepest pain. stop facing bully as if you were some kind of unlucky victim.

@Ilya i completely quit alcohol after studying my liver. by drinking alcohol, i was undoing a lot of things that i was struggling to accomplish by practicing yoga, in terms of physical health. i wanted my cells to breathe better but alcohol damages the liver, which is responsible for producing breathing enzymes. i wanted my body to be more hydrated throughout the days but alcohol causes dehydration. i wanted to be able to focus and concentrate more, but alcohol makes the mind loose and distracted. i wanted to be able to explore my feelings naturally, but alcohol is a shortcut that teaches nothing about how to touch our feelings by ourselves and then i noticed that i was drinking alcohol because i was acting from a place of discontentment. fuck that. i'm working towards contentment. i don't want to waste time.

@Jhonny it happens when you try to learn programming with useless applications. do something useful. get into the open source community. explore github and build an awesome portfolio.

@Nadosa just tell the truth. tell her that her attitude is hurting you and that you need some time to heal yourself before getting back to regular daily activities. it's very simple. open up and tell her how you feel.

we assert "2+2=4" as true because we defined mathematics to work like that. arithmetic is built upon predefined axioms and so is the entire world of mathematics as we know it. don't think that mathematics hold some deeper truth about the universe because it doesn't. first we defined a set of truths and then we defined rules about how to manipulate them. it's a creation of the human mind. -
do stuff. the more you do it, the more you'll know whether you like it or not. but do stuff. do something. start something new and try to get good at it.

listen way more than you speak.

it's not about her. it's my choice not to date someone who's into such things.

it has been said.

no. live with it and grow up. no healthy person wants to be with a needy partner. with this kind of attitude, if you ever find someone, the relationship will be ruled by attachment and jealousy. you will suffer even more and so will the other person. be a rising star, not a black hole.

then come closer. walk with me.

i went to retreats to see how days in a monastery feel like so i would be able to gradually transform my life in a monastery. now i practice mindfulness from the moment i wake up to the moment i go to sleep.

@Santiago important thing: do fun stuff together. don't think of her as a means for your own satisfaction and don't allow her to think of you as a means for her own satisfaction. go out. meet new people. do new stuff. build a new life.
