  1. Don't quit. It's going to be hard as fuck.
  2. @Psychventure You tried out psychedelics?
  3. You can't make sense of it as quickly as you'd want to. I see you're a rational person but rationality has its limits and you've begun to reach them. Try out some practices.
  4. I don't think you can. I've struggled with this too. @Leo Gura
  5. It doesn't make it alright. What I wanted to say is that you can have a lot of unconscious survival mechanisms at work that you must still work on. If a serial killer doesn't identify with thought does that make it alright? That's still selfish. Survival is not only physical, but more psychological. You're attached to your kids and your survival means your kids' survival.
  6. I'm just giving my opinion since he's asking for one. This is my experience, he can do whatever he wants.
  7. Maybe you wanted to say growth instead of repression?
  8. Try to search through handwriting through dozens of pages. Or link one thing you wrote a year ago with another thing now for reference. Not practical.
  9. No, survival is selfish, no matter how it arises. What matters is degree and while awakening certainly helps, a lot of your bullshit still remains unquestioned. Just make sure not to fall into the 'no-thought makes everything alright' paradigm.
  10. What happened? Any progress? @Thorsten Fuzzi
  11. You're exaggerating IMO. A simple thank you would do the job.
  12. Great one!
  13. Been there, done that. Good advice. And countless more have not.
  14. LOL Wait till you realize how much lying there is IRL.
  15. As others have suggested nothing beats real life experience. I'd suggest to go a little more personal, though. You have to find something that you're really afraid of. For me, it's heights. Nothing makes me more more present and aware of my death than that. Sometimes I go to peak over the balcony rails (all within some safe measures) and remind myself what it feels like.
  16. I ain't no doctor, but as a patient I can definitely attest to not taking care of health issues on time and then lying to make myself seem more reasonable.
  17. Thinking and contemplating the right way can too be a powerful method. Don't know why the thread is going against that.
  18. Go to IMDB and search for whatever you want. Sort the movies by number of votes and you get the best movies for your search criteria. You can search for keywords as well. It's all about finding something that speaks to you. All movies have short plot synopsis and a trailer to check out if it sounds interesting.
  19. You can't unless you're an admin.
  20. Anything from Jed McKenna. But be advised, he's a straight-out no-bullshit in-your-face author.
  21. @Michael569 You're a savior. God Bless!
  22. @Epikur I know that I know nothing that is worthwhile.
  23. It is in these moments especially that you have to remember you're God. Make it meditators.
  24. The Stanley Parable, Antichamber, Portal. Or just search for "Portal-like games". You can search for trippy/psychedelic videogames too.
  25. I'm 23. I've had breakthroughs, but I feel I have a long way still to go. Enlightenment doesn't solve your life problems. It can make them easier, but you still have to put in the work. Don't use enlightenment as an escape from life. All the best. Peace V
