  1. At this rate everyone will be enlightened before ME ! MY ENLIGHTENMENT ! MY INCONDITIONAL LOVE !
  2. Everything is explained right there. You don't need hours of videos and dozens of books to understand it. There is nothing to understand ...
  3. Both are great, it all depends on what you want to focus on. Short meditation throughout the day helps you to refresh your mind every time you need to (Usually done just before going to work, during the lunch break, and just after work). Long meditation if you want to discipline your mind even more, it can also leads to some powerful state of no mind/self for a short period after. I would advocate to do short meditation throughout your job days, and days off long ones, simply because you don't have to focus on time when it's the week-end (I hate using a timer personally ).
  4. http://lucidability.com/dreams-vs-reality/ Once you don't care about what you and other people think of you, it becomes obvious very quickly.
  5. The ego is the collections of every beliefs and identifications you have about the world and yourself. The subconscious mind is the ego filtering and reacting to reality through all these beliefs and indentifications. There is no subconscious mind when you awaken, at least not if you've practised mindfulness/presence a lot, you always know why you act in a certain way, or at least you have a major lead to find out why.
  6. That's exactly the kind of beliefs that restrain people to realize their true self.
  7. Can you sense the "isness" of everything ? Can you be alone all by yourself without needing anything from anyone without feeling lonely ? Can you detach yourself from your thoughts/ego as you want, or do you still get drown in them most of the time ? Can you see the futility of thinking for the sake of thinking, or do you still fantasize the future and remember the past quite often ? Do you feel your body and your thoughts all the time, as extension of your being, or only once at a time ? Do you have a deep sense of peace within you/equanimity ? Did you stop judge others and yourself ? Do you see life as an another "dream" ? Are you perfectly fine doing nothing at all for hours ? Are you still emotionally triggered when people talk about rape/murder or genocide ? Are you starting to feel your "soul"'s reflection in animals/humans eyes, even nature/inanimate objects ? Are you content with what you have now, or do you think you need more to finally be happy/enlightened ? If you've genuinely answered yes to all these questions, maybe you are.
  8. Not only that, but to not feed even more the ego and the pain body of the boss, too. That's something a lot of yolo enlightened people go wrong, it's not because in their non-dualistic point of view everything is a joke that dualistic entities does not suffer. They do, they are still trapped, and it feels REAL to them.
  9. When you have to put some files on a usb drive which is not yours, just before your sitted meditation session And the usb drive is called TRANSCEND @Sri McDonald Trump Maharaj It was a coincidence
  10. Of course theres is no one to talk to about this stuff, there is perhaps 1 person in 10 000 that really do it properly. Quick example, I never saw a single person walk in the forest near my city (in 2 years) except me. Hell, even when I walk in the city, I rarely see a person walking alone, and when they do, they either look at their phone, listen to some music, do some solitary sport, or smoke and seems to wait for someone. It is like no one accept to be alone, it isn't concevable, it is seen as madness. So just get that straight in your mind, because even if you meet someone like that and befriend him, guess what, you'll still have to face all these things all by yourself anyway. You're not even alone, it feels like it, but sooner or later you'll realize there is never a time where you've been alone, It's all you, I'm talking to myself here, you're talking to yourself, Leo is talking to himself in every video. Even my dog licking his balls is us, fucking dog, I want to be able to do that too
  11. That's what I'm saying for weeks now ! STILL DON'T GET ANY LIKES !
  12. Don't know if I'm going to meditate tonight, but this afternoon I'll do it for 4 hours in the forest, come with me guys/girls EDIT: Ok, time to shine ! I DON'T FEAR ME, COME ON !!! @Sevi Annnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnd, get back to it. It's not like there is anything else to do after our daily routine anyways :3 @Sevi I mean there is nothing else to do after reading for quite some time, sport, some exercices (funnyness/concentration), listening to some music, and a good walk in the forest. There is nothing else to do than meditate.
  13. "When you feel a peaceful joy That's when you are near Truth" - Rumi
  14. IS there a meditation that can promote more the confrontation with the void/having a kundalini experience ? I want to face this again, and if there is a meditation practice that can help, it would be nice No clue if it works, let's try http://www.selfgrowth.com/articles/awaken_your_kundalini_in_3_easy_steps.html
  15. Ahah, my mind use the excuse "but you're present all the time, why meditate, it's the same thing !". It's so funny to hear its justifications, it's like a child who refuses to wash its teeths @Sevi No, because it was a trick obviously. Even if it's the same, sitted meditation is really nice to relax you even more, and to be even more aware of what you are. I even sensed for a brief moment a fraction of Kundalini awakening, I may be able to trigger one I focus on that specifically. I really want to see if I can surrender to it, now that I know what it is. Makes me remember that this afternoon, while doing my job at the hypermarket, I had an experience of no self, like everything was pure energy, and I was just a point of view of it. And it's not an experience, because you know at that point that it's always there, except you can't see it all the time. This is happening more and more, and I think it's because I stopped seeking and thinking it's something I need. Why would you need something you already are all the time anyway ? It does not make sense @Sevi No, it only happened once, It happened in my legs, and after that everywhere, it wasn't that amazing, but I sensed all my body like I never did. This wasn't what I'm reffering too though. What I'm seeking is the experience where an infinite void spring from inside out, and your mind is in such a fear state, that it instantly refuse to experience it any further.
  16. Stop fucking seeking for a fucking experience. Pretty sure there is people who realize themselves without any spiritual knowledge. Enlightenement is just being present by stopping the identification with the mind, there is no need to practice a meditation or to read scriptures/books about it.
  17. Face your fears, that's the only way anything can be transcended, everything else is pure delusions.
  18. 1st problem: You asked online. 2nd problem: You think she rejected you while she gave you a reasonable reason, so your self-esteem must be very low, which is not a state to engage a relationship anyway. So, next time, take some balls and ask face to face, but you should rather work on your self-esteem and your humor (if you're not funny), because a woman will never stay with a guy with low self esteem with no humor anyway (except maybe a really fat and or ugly girl).
  19. Either we all are Or no one is @Max_V Yes it is very good, just take your time.
  20. Didn't drink or smoke in 8 years, people think I'm 20
  21. The fact that thoughts appear less and less are nice, but this isn't really that important. What is important is your capacity to not get lost in them and to know (for real) they aren't really you, that they are nothing more than an appearance in your awareness, just like anything else.
  22. We don't know much about the brain, and scientist still don't understand what consciousness is and how it impact the brain. You never feel your brain except when you have a headache, and when that happen you feel the brain just like any other part of the body. Now it SEEMS that the brain is what we are because when a headache happens, it impact our thoughts one way or another, and since most people think they are their thoughts, they feel threatened ... One of the reason we think we are the brain is that it is very close to where we perceive the world, the eyes. Have you ever wondered why thoughts seems to appear in our brain ? Why not somewhere else ? And if you are the brain, why not the entirety of the body ? How could you be "just the brain" ? That doesn't even make sense, either you are the body, or you don't. Still, most of us don't think we are the feets, the fingers, or the chest, it is seen as personal objects, not what we are ... If you are the brain, how come do you exist when you don't think at all, not even inconsciously in the background ? What are you in this kind of moments ? Do you die ? It feels like you're dead, but you aren't, so what is there ? What can experience life without thinking at all ? So what are you ? HINT: It's something very obvious, so obvious that you've overlooked it your all life. It isn't something spectacular nor that it will change your overall experience at first. It is extremely subtile and just right in front of your face, many seekers don't even realize it before their first awakening, some even still seek something else after ... If you "find" it, the only thing you have to do, is to realize it again and again, and it will go deeper and deeper. It will go so deep, that in fact, it will change your overall experience, but don't wait an experience to start doing that. This is the number 1 trap, that and the fact that most people only work on it during sitted meditation (and are still very inconscious during their daily routine ...) @Max_V No, not before your birth. How do you know for sure you've started somewhere ? Think of what you are now, never put time, either past or future to discover what you are. This can only be done now, there is nothing else than now. @abrakamowse Being mindful is already it ... Why do you think no teacher ever says they are enlightened ? Because they were long before their overall experience shifted drastically, they know that very well. We're all enlightened, right now, even if you're inconscious as fucked and totally immerged in your thoughts, it does not matter at all, the only difference is that you're not aware of it. So, whenever you're mindful, you're already the truth, except that you don't realize everything of it, yet, that's all. Now we shoudn't use this to slack off and skip our sitted meditations schedule, or stopped being mindful/present whenever we can, that would be foolish, and that's not what I am saying at all. Yes, technically you'll still be enlightened even if you don't do these things, but in you stop being present and don't do your meditation everyday, chances are that you'll go full inconscious again, and the experience of life will become again painful. Don't get me wrong, there is nothing bad about being inconscious, simply because you can't be conscious all the time, you're a human being, you're not designed to be 101% conscious ALL THE TIME. Just use your inconsciousness to realize things you didn't solved yet, but don't judge yourself, that's also a big trap, and the other one is to not take notes of what you've failed to do and say "oh well, no judgment right ? Then why the fuck should I try to better myself ?".
