    Yes, that's a major factor.

But also, China is more collectivist, which means they actually believe government is good and they are willing to self-sacrifice for the betterment of society. This is a deeply correct principle, unlike America's absurdly self-defeating libertarianism.

Libertarianism and fundamentalism has ruined America.

You cannot have a great society where everyone only acts out of private selfishness.

That Americans do not understand this in principle is shameful and stupid. And it's why China will overtake America as the world's superpower.

Not that I disagree with a lot of America’s stupid preoccupations with rugged individualism etc, however this China romanticisation reminds me how a lot of the western intelligentsia fell for communism and had a soft spot for the Soviet Union.

    Unfortunately even this isn't true.

Orange is badly needed because 50% of the population still lives paycheck to paycheck, with not enough material security to even have the luxury to care about the environment or trans people.

Our development is so much lower than Wilber says that we haven't even exhausted Orange.

And the Orange stage cannot just be handled by giving people free money and services. Orange is about learning to be an achiever. You can't skip Orange with socialism or UBI. 50% of the population needs to spend 10-20 years just actualizing Orange in themselves. That is our situation.

How do you account for the fact that Green has been around since the 1960s with The Beatles etc that has infiltrated so much culture but never really took over the masses?

Perhaps America needs a national divorce, it just seems unsustainable where you have a good ~30% of the population that basically wants a third world style autocrat in Trump, yet the coastal city folk are so much further evolved than that. I feel like something has gotta give.

@Joel3102 you have to sit with him, drink a beer with him, make him feel like your friend and then you can start talking and exploring the world

Hes Not gonna listen to you when his guard is up and he’s defending himself

This is an emotional child like baboon you’re interacting with 😂

If you can get him high and make him feel good he has a far better chance of progress

The funny thing is he doesn’t drink 😂

Maybe I’d have more chance if we could shoot the shit over a pint

Foolishness is self-correcting as it plays itself out and necessarily fails.

Now we watch it play out and fail. Those who are incapable of educating themselves will be educated by the laws of reality in broad daylight.

My hope is their overreach is so bad that MAGA is completely discredited and indefensible. Then things will become more normal in 4 years time. If not it seems the US Republic may fundamentally become a semi autocracy

Keep in mind that the real work is happening outside of news headlines.

Right now Trump's cabinet of goons is furiously working to disable all checks and balances of the federal government, filling as many positions as they can with corrupt MAGA ideologues and loyalists. This will not be visible in the news. What you see in the news is just the tip of the corruption iceberg.

The corruption and rot will be staggering and beyond anyone's imagination. But it will take a few years to blossom.

Odds of Impeachment by the end of it?

It is sad to see Musk devolve into such low quality perspective and corruption.

If social media can rot his mind, what chance do normies and Gen Z have?

The online media social matrix is terrifying in its ability to create self-deception. It's like a mass self-deception machine and hardly anyone is aware of its epistemic distortion effects on mankind yet. And AI now throws gasoline on that fire.

The 21st century could go down in history as the century of the epistemic degeneracy of mankind.

It’s akin to the upheaval that the printing press caused in Europe, leading to the 30 years war etc
