  1. I need your help to dissect this interview. Bret Weinstein is similar to Jordan Peterson, but a bit more progressive and less conservative. In this video he critizises harshly the blm movement and especially critical theory (gender studies; queer studies; etc.) and denounces it as a neo marxist movement (similar to Jordan Peterson). I think Leo made it clear in his last video that naive thinking is very much on the rise through the democratization of political power and than there can be problems with political ideas from the left wing. Even though Bret Weinstein critics may seem similar to some remarks of Leo, I believe they are very much different and flawed. I would like to better understand what the exact problems with his his thinking are. I would invite you to watch the video and share your opinion/analysis of his thinking!
  2. Bret seems to put the blm protest and the happenings on college campuses, etc. in the same box himself, which is why I phrased it that way, but I meant especially the recent protesting against racism. I would be super curious, what your thoughts are on critical theory. Isn't it just solid green thinking? For example Dr. West seems to be part of that critical theory and I don't think he unreasonable at all. So is all of Bret (and also Jordan Peterson) critic just wrong, unable to grasp what critical theory really is?
  3. Hey Leo! Thanks for the answer! A problem to differentiate stage green with maoism is a good explanation, probably because to an untrained eyed they can seem very similar. Personally I have a feeling that he overdramatizes the problems with those movements/protest. As if there is so much going on beneath the curtains that we have to become aware of and defend us against. I often feel that for most people it is mainly about raising awareness on a certain problem. To simply voice their suffering in the words Dr. West would maybe describe these events. What are your thought on this? Is there really something problematic in these events, which has to be brought to light? Or is it just the healthy expression of suffering?
  4. I want to discuss this idea by Leo, that you can find your LP or create a meaningful career through contemplative work. Personally I believe that creating a meaningful career is a way to complex problem to tackle directly, especially if you are young and experienced. It will have to happen progressively through experiences. The problem I see in recommending a contemplative approach is, that you will not progress and be stuck where you at, in hopes of one day going from 0 to 100. But you cannot understand what is possible in this world, what you like/ dislike, what is meaningful to you, when all you do is contemplate about it! You have to get experience and start with smaller goals. There millions of option to design your life, you will not find the best one. Notice: Leo himself did not find his LP directly. He had several goals prior to it (philosophy, game design, business, Dating/Life coach) and only created his LP incrementally! ------ I would like to know your experiences in finding a LP or creating a meaningful career! How much did contemplative work help you AND how much did you had to use trial and error or incremental approaches?
  5. Well day trading is pretty much a zero sum game, some lose money, some win money, no wealth is created. For me it would be hard to see meaning in this, but I you have a passion for it, you can maybe share that passion with others.
  6. @universe Well his LP course and in many other videos you can get a feeling, that the most important thing is, is to contemplate and that contemplation can really help you. If this wasn't the case for you that's fine, maybe you interpreted his videos in an other way or maybe you were older than me and already had more experience to build on. All I want to find out is, if other people have had this struggle (contemplating to much to create an meaningful career) and what solution or insight that had. @Average Investor I would be curious about your progress so far, what ideas have had? Personally I have a problem, which is quite common I think, and it is that I am a big perfectionist. This for me is one of the main reason why I trying to think about a meaningful career does not seem to work so well, since no career will be perfect and you can only realize this by experiencing it. Are you a perfectionist?
  7. I have a strange Hate/Love realtionship to weed. Almost everytime I smoke it I can start to experience a surge in negative energy, fear-based thinking, pessimistic thinking, confusion, stress, and terror. But since it kind of fades away, especially if I distract myself I can enjoy the think that comes afterwards. I am scared of getting really high, because I can feel terrified so easily. I am interested in doing mushrooms (I have some friends experiencing with it, and it would be a good opportunity to make some first experiences) BUT I am very scared I will have this brut negativ energy, stress reaction that will come up. I don't know if my body will react the same way as it does with marijuana. Any tips for me, or insights on similarities and distinctions between weed and shrooms?
  8. @Nahm What if the feeling starts in anticipation of something, as it is the case with me when I think of consuming Marijuana? Does it go into the future then or would say you already simulate the future experience in your head, so the experience (of the future) comes to the now? When you say thoughts are chosen in accordance with feeling, do you mean that this is always so, or that this is good for your emotions? Tell me please if I understand you right: When I am having negativ emotions, it will help me to bring my thoughts to the presents, there where the feelings reside, and it will cause me more stress, when my thoughts try to make sense of my feelings by using the future as a source of explanation? @Arcangelo Have you tried Marijuana? If so how would you then describe Marijuana?
  9. well sometimes the anticitpation of smoking can make me start to feel stressed. But sometimes I can feel very normal before and still experience a surprising negative experience (at the start).
  10. watch how this dude makes his video. Very engaging! The listener instantly hooked
  11. Thanks for your answer! I really don't experience much of that fear, if I don't smoke. And it is really more of body reaction, a stress reaction, which tenses up my body, makes me want to walk around, makes me shiver, if it is strong. The content of the negative energy is sometimes interesting, but to me it seems to be more about the drug, than about some trauma I am surpressing (but I could be wrong here). When you experienced those darker trips, what helped you to surrender and let go? (meditating? contemplating? observing?) When I smoke weed, my mind can get very confusing and overwhelming. I am wondering if my reaction to shrooms could be similar. Do you experience confusion and a mind running wild on shrooms?
  12. you are not very engaging! it seems you are just reading down something or saying something you memorized before. Bring more energy! or more Love! Or a bit of drama, like critizising bad health routines, bad advise. Focus on Marketing not only on Content. Your content has to be your marketing. At the start of the video explain to me in a extremly passionate way why this video and your channel are amazing. If you can only convince me that they are good, I will watch someone I think is amazing.. Good luck
  13. Hope you get better soon! Allow the sadness and when you feel ready start to let go of it. You will learn a lot from this! Pain is the best teacher ;). For the Retreat I cannot give you any advise, never did it myself, but I don't think you have to worry to much about it ( maybe more if you plan on taking drugs) and just take the time to think and let go.
  14. @Thought Art nice one! I love spiritual music <3 I like drawing magical forests
  15. - Filming Documentaries/ or having a YT Channel revolving about traveling and discovering various spiritual traditions
  16. I think it is important that people take personal responsibility for their progress in self-development. Actualized.org is great but has not all answers for everyone in every moment in time. You can't follow things stupidly. This video could help to escape traps, that are typical for regular viewers of actualized.org. My personal example is, that I have pretty bad ADD and a weak willpower. Through my novelty addiction I watched a lot of videos and learned a lot, but I am realizing, that I don't progress a lot because what is most important is handling my ADD and having more structure. ALTERNATE TITLES: What should you focus on? I will tell you! How to understand the Trap you are in When videos won't help you! [10 practical examples]
  17. YT videos for younger audiences 14+, that can help with their emotions and friends, etc. But I would have to be made for 14 so you don't advice taking any psychedelics, going on solo retreats. It should be talking about life, social life, happiness and maybe family. just basics. Maybe online videos on counseling, trauma healing, and ideally with live demonstrations. Very raw and impactful videos of people opening up through counseling
  18. -healthy restaurant : I find atleast 95% of restaurants to be not healthy at all and to have a lot of nasty/tricky ways to maximize their profits. Big problem would be the marketing, since everyone is already doing the "we are healthy" marketing, even though their aren't. - Educational Games: learning by having fun, increasing skills in humans. - Design for homeless people: Designing very useful items, that can be produced cheaply to give to homeless people -Combining AI and Education: Learn environments that are adaptive to you. AI is in general can be combined with probably everything and will make good changes. Take a part of the change and lead it consciously. -Creating a poltical party, group, organisation, NGO, Think Tank, and push great political, conscious ideas, by going doing media appearances, gain followers, events, etc. -
  19. I have heard a few time that pursuing enlightenment is a destructive process. It's believing nothing. But you can realize that believing nothing is also a constructive process. Going from All to Nothing is the same as going from Nothing to All. What are your thoughts?
  20. @Serotoninluv Brother you are messing with my mind, with this insights ^^
  21. I had this insight, that I wanted to share, but I don't understand it myself fully The insight is that: Balance is infinite. If you think of balance as something 1 dimensional you are not appreciating it. Balance is infinitely nuanced and can never be grasped. You can never hold true balance. The search for Balance and Nuance is never-ending and infinite. You can always find an more nuanced Balance than your current one. You are yourself infinitely nuanced / you have to become infinitely nuanced. An image I had in mind, was that of the nuanced personality. When someone is nuanced, we can explore the nuance in his personality for a very long time. Those are people, we can always discover new aspects of their personality and their personality will keep changing in our minds.
  22. Really interesting to read all those experience reports with weed. I can relate very to all of your experiences. I find it funny because usually people don't talk about how weed is, they just say "weed is fun/chill/intense". If you want to use weed for spiritual growth you have to become mindfull of its effect. It makes you more sensible and creative, but no necessarily more mindful, that is your job. @Nak Khid Wow i Had exactly the same insight as you! I think you can recognize better how attachment works if you are high!
  23. I have try'd out using canabis for spiritual and creativity the last month. The problem I encountered instantly is it's addictive property. So what happened is that the day after I smoked I wanted to smoke again. Furthermore I through the increased pleasure I got addicted to pleasures of all kind. BUT. I solved this problem by changing a few things. The biggest change was to switch to edibles. Since edibles wont start instantly you don't get this craving so much in the evening to consume them. Very different to smoking weed. I would even recommend to only have edibles at home and no weed itself. Then it is important to make pauses between your session, for example once a week and to respect them. The benefits from weed were that I can become very aware of thoughts and feelings. If the sensations are too strong I can happen to me to surpress thoughts and feelings. I usually write a lot of journal whilst I am high. I tried to meditate aswell and this was very interesting. Weed can help you break the hamster wheel you are in, bring fresh air into your thoughts, recognize problems (emotional, ideological). For creativity it is also interesting and you get really into being creative. Whilst high, DO: meditate, write journal, contemplate, do sport, stretching, yoga, do creative activities (drawing, painting, writing a poem, a story, etc) talk to people if you feel like it. DO NOT: watch series, play videogames (even though they will be even more fun), watch porn, eat unhealthy food I think weed has potential, but you have to do it right, otherwise it is only an addictive and addiction enhancing substance!
