  1. Thank you for the reminder. That’s what I’m working on in therapy right now - understanding my emotions. I’ll make meditating a habit starting now
  2. Reframe or imagine “map” as an Infinite Mind. It’s not something you ‘need’, it’s something YOU are. From ignorance, you are fixated on one particular, tiny aspect of the map. In fact, you don’t even know that other aspects of the map exist. You are thoroughly convinced that your [limited] view of the map is what Reality fundamentally is, so you defend it from any and all other interpretations that go against it. As you grow wiser in the world and have more experiences, you still see the same [limited] view of the map, but you’re open to and even have some of the original symbols changed completely. Now this is where things start to radically shift. As you have mystical experiences, you start to realize “HOLY SHIT!”. Yes, all along you were fixated on such a [limited] view of the map, only to discover that Reality has the ability to zoom the same map out! To take it a step even deeper, if you have such a profound mystical experience, you’ve basically zoomed out so far that you can’t even make out the [limited] view anymore. Again, you’re viewing the same exact map; even the [limited] view is still there with all it’s microscopic symbols, but it no longer makes sense to identify that particular view as the only true Reality. Like, seriously! Unfortunately, this is where most people get lost. Inevitably, you will zoom back in to the [limited] view. But instead of doing serious integration work, you try and brute force your way to zooming out again. In other words, you’ve circled back to ignorance. You thoroughly convince yourself that the zoomed out mystical state is what Reality fundamentally is, so that becomes your new map that you defend from any and all other interpretations that go against it. What is the solution then? The solution is to COMPREHEND what the fuck REALITY is. Is it the zoomed out mystical view? Is it the [limited] view? Is it one or the other? Can it be both? Of course any answer I give on here is completely and utterly useless unless you understand REALITY for YOURSELF.
  3. The magic is not merely from a profound mystical experience, but from deepening your understanding of what Reality is capable of imagining. Your “non-peak” experiences can also transform drastically. Peak states are not full of bullshit. It’s how you interpret those experiences that will determine the level of bullshit. Valley state? Reality didn’t make your trip very brief because your trip was a failure, it was to send you a clear message.
  4. Then it hits that others and you are imagined by Reality.
  5. There’s a deeper intelligence at play when you zoom out. God is Creation. What you’re basically saying is for God to burn its creations and never create again.
  6. Of course. Depending on your state of consciousness
  7. We need to make a clear distinction between someone experiencing feelings of depression and someone who has a mood disorder (e.g. major depressive disorder). In order words, you someone can experience feelings of depression, but not have a mood disorder.
  8. And cancer could be solved by eating more broccoli.
  9. Very cute statement, but you are very wrong. You have no idea the scope of this issue. Just think about it. If every therapist told the millions of people going through mental health issues to just “breathe”, then we’ve solved the collective mental health issue, right?
  10. And I’ve had mystical experiences on substances that are not traditionally considered psychedelics (i.e. ketamine and cannabis). Funny how that works. (I’ve never tried traditional psychedelics, but I am open to one day.)
  11. Yup. Avoidance can function as a compulsion, which is the case for me (I also have OCD). Every day I purposefully do at least one thing I know I’m avoiding to teach myself that I can handle it; that whatever nonsense my thoughts say to try to protect me are wrong. It’s like breaking away from an abusive boyfriend that tries really hard to control your every move. Eventually you realize that this asshole is doing you no good, so you eventually say, “Fuck you, I’m gonna discover my freedom, and you can’t stop me. This is goodbye, and I’m no longer afraid of your need to keep me isolated... you say that if I leave you then I’ll get hurt, but you are wrong.”
  12. Confusing humans for Consciousness or Intelligence just shows how ignorant most humans are
  13. It’s not about merely transcending the world. You can also integrate those experiences into the world. Improving your human self does not go against spirituality unless you believe that humans are a problem to Reality.
  14. @Breakingthewall I don’t see an issue with thinking that there are others, or even believing that there are others. Now the beliefs we have about others… that could very well lead to all sorts of human troubles.
  15. They do, it’s just that they do it the way they know how based on their state of consciousness (among other things, of course). Take someone who climbs Mount Everest solo, for example. Or even someone who’s at a pizza restaurant with their friends and decides to order a pizza that they’ve never tried before.
  16. Sure, but have you seen how many sequels, remakes, sequels to remakes, etc. Hollywood makes on horror movie franchises?
  17. I relate to that immensely. What I can assure you of is that you don’t have to be stuck in the grieving process. We seek validation from others because we’ve thoroughly convinced ourselves that something is missing. However, when you zoom out and focus on personal development, spirituality, life purpose, Pure Philosophy, etc., your life is no longer focused on a particular person or identity in order for you to feel whole. Your love deepens and grows exponentially, which will have an effect on every aspect of your life… yes, especially your intimate relationships. People assume that when you delve into these fields you’re bound to become a hermit with no social life and no longer care about connection. This cannot be further from the truth. It may manifest like that in the beginning stages, but you will mature and understand the bigger picture at play here. Remember, how you treat others is precisely how you treat yourself. In order to truly understand this, though, you must deepen your understanding of Reality. But let’s focus on creating a solid foundation first. Don’t just believe me. Be willing to make this a lifelong investment and put all this theory to the test; not because some person on a forum told you so, but because you want to. You may not experience the juicy results right away, but that’s far better than being stuck in a process or cycle that is no longer serving you. I emphasize stuck because all experiences (even grief) can be a powerful ally when you approach it from a wiser position.
  18. Instead of focusing on what the girl is doing “wrong”, use this as an opportunity to self-reflect and experience hurt. Hurt can grow you exponentially if you let it.
  19. Just make sure it doesn’t become mediTATE and rewd.
