  2. Let’s say someone fell off a ladder and got seriously injured. They required surgery and now physical therapy. The irresponsible thing to do is to force that person to start running when they can’t even get out of bed yet.
  3. Welcome to the forum! You certainly can. This forum talks about those topics regularly, so get studying but don’t forget to put theory into action!
  4. I’ve been in relationships with someone with severe BPD. I begged her to get hospitalized when it got that bad and she refused. It was mentally taxing to try to help her that I had no other choice but to stop talking to her and take care of my own mental health needs. She finally got hospitalized a few months after that and she’s in a much better place in her life now. We don’t speak as much, but the quality of our communication is significantly better, even though she still struggles with BPD.
  5. Learning about your mental health condition(s) is important. Proper education on it will help you determine a baseline of how severe your conditions are. Severity of your condition is key. You can have a serious condition, but its severity is mild. Or it could be severe, which in that case, this forum is inappropriate for you to be in without first getting your condition under control. This same principle applies to maintaining a job. Many people who work have mental illnesses, but it’s not severe to the point where they cannot perform their jobs.
  6. The guidelines specifically mention that this forum is NOT designed to deal with serious psychiatric issues.
  7. You do not sound stupid at all. Wishing you the best on your healing journey!
  8. https://thehill.com/homenews/state-watch/4620838-texas-governor-abbott-backlash-mass-arrest-ut-austin-pro-palestine-protest/ Pretty nuts. I was on the highway in Austin when all this went down; there was literally a line of 30+ police cars all driving down the left lane. If I had to make a safe assumption, they were all going towards the campus. Why the hell do you need such massive amount of police presence to stop a freakin’ university protest?! And why do far-right conservatives love to conflate Palestinians with Hamas?! That’s like claiming that all Black people are affiliated with gangs.
  9. This is silly. Surrender old ideas of yourself and replacing them with higher quality ones is better than becoming nothing.
  10. Take thousands of estrogen tablets
  11. I live a few miles away from a university and there are many, many hotties. It’s like hitting the jackpot living here!
  12. Being a human fundamentally comes with flaws. Best to experiment with what works for you even if almost no one else understands.
  13. I think when we all collectively stop playing human games
  14. It’s also important to acknowledge how you feel honestly. Making a habit of masking uncomfortable feelings with thoughts is a short-term solution. What grows you is approaching what you fear and having a clearer picture of what you’re experiencing.
  15. Have you considered trying out Horizon Worlds for the Meta Quest? You’d be surprised at how many cool people you can socialize with. Yes, there are many annoying kids/trolls as well, but there is a 18+ bar and resort world that only allows adults in there.
  16. This is why psychedelic-assisted therapy is key. I was lucky enough to do it several times, but $700 per session isn’t cheap. And we don’t have enough therapists trained in exploring psychedelics. My life would certainly be much worse right now had I not gone through those sessions.
  17. Exploration, like I aforementioned. Similar to how some people opt to use psychedelics or cannabis to explore their mind. It is not a risk-free endeavor and everyone's goals will be different. I personally don't identity strictly with either man or woman.... I don't fit into either category. I do want to integrate both into my life, though, instead of creating a strong division between them. Misma
  18. The goal should be gender exploration, NOT gender indoctrination.
