I honestly am learning to stop caring about who is right and who is wrong. It’s all just games -
I am super sensitive since I was a child. Someone could be joking or even talking about someone else in an offensive way, yet I take it personally. What I am learning to do is realize that people are projecting their own bias onto the world. It has nothing to do with you. It may feel that way, but learn to sit with the discomfort and allow them to have their own opinions without needing to change it or analyze what they said. Humans say stupid shit 24/7. 24/6 if you’re a Catholic, apparently

My style of communicating with others is seeing how others are myself. I have a lot of animosity towards people, so clearly I have a lot of animosity towards myself. Awareness is key to letting go of hatred.

You are holding onto suppressed pain. Let it go and allow the pain to communicate itself in however it wants to -

You can raise your consciousness to relate to others on a deeper level. -
It’s truly amazing how the deeper you get into this work, the more frequent you’ll experience awakenings. Even the very subtle awakenings are becoming a beauty to bask in. As I’m typing this comment, I’m experiencing increased awareness and connection to others (who are me, of course). This experience, just half a year ago, would have made me call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline. And I’ve only begun to scratch the surface! Life is beautiful.

Observe conflict within yourself and notice how terrible you treat yourself and other people. In subtle and obvious ways -
I literally applied some about an hour ago. Weird!

Giving up desires is silly. You can learn to make more values-based decisions in your life rather than chasing desires that, in the long-term, keep you stuck in sorrow and regret. -
Very inspiring! I also live with disability and am learning to go beyond my limits. Thank you for sharing.

Damn, the universe itself has confirmed some breaking news. This is a scientific breakthrough!! -
Thank you for sharing. I’ve always been in abusive relationships, and so has my mother. It has been really challenging to overcome, and still something that’s being worked on. I am getting better at it nowadays thanks to psychedelics and being more authentic with myself.

What you want is connection. If your connection is solely based on what others can give you to make you happy, then you’re going to run into a lot of problems down the road. You will be empowered when you make decisions based on your own intuition, rather than someone else telling you what to do. Do you really want to be a puppet on strings being controlled all the time? Learn to make challenging decisions in your life that suck in the short-term, but will make you more empowered and free in the long-term. -
Notice how biased you are when it comes to your survival benefits. For example, if you want to become enlightened, then you need to find enlightened people to learn from. If you want a hot girlfriend, you’re going to seek the hottest women and completely ignore anyone who is below your standards. Do you not see how selfish you are?
-
Certain standards that are coming from outside of you; that were indoctrinated onto you. You believe that if you reach someone else’s standards then you’ll be happy. Don’t you see the problem with this?

To be finite is to make distinctions and have biases, so that’s how you’ll view reality. The consequence is needing one thing over another thing. For example, alone vs. together right vs. wrong us vs. them me vs. you certainty vs. uncertainty absolute vs. relative real vs. imaginary Contemplate what makes one better than another and how it fits your survival strategy. -

There comes a point where absolute = relative. There’s no difference. Of course, for the sake of human conversation, this seems absurd and wrong… but from the absolute point of view, it makes perfect sense. When I experienced the Godhead, I didn’t have to leave my previous existence or ideas about God to get there. It wasn’t like running a marathon and reaching a finish line (which requires time and space). All your left with is pure understanding of reality. There was never a “you” attaining anything. Complete selflessness and free from all biases. -

It’s utterly intelligent. If there weren’t billions of religious adults, what’s the alternative? Billions of Simpsons characters? -

When I experienced the “Godhead”, it was like experiencing nothing and everything simultaneously. There are no words to describe it, really. The idea of having an identity or details… doesn’t compute. You realize that everything you think is real is completely imaginary. No time, no space, none of it! But somehow, you are all of it. It blows my fucking mind just thinking about it. -
@Breakingthewall My family were raised Roman Catholic; many of them are also hateful, oppressive, and fearful. They’ve gotten better as they got older and their survival needs were met, but I can tell that they still have a lot of suffering. Their religion has conveniently masked all of their suffering, and they’ll an endless supply of justifications as to why they have their beliefs and won’t change. They’ve made their religion their master instead of discovering the master within themselves.
-
@Breakingthewall very wise of you to hide your post. Religion is not all bad and evil. As much as I don’t like how I was brought up religious, it could not have been any other way. God wants to explore all kinds of aspects of itself, and religion is surely one of those ways. One thing that is commendable about religion is the unwavering commitment to understanding what God is, even if it’s done in an extremely limited and selfish ways. If one can leave their religion and seek higher truths, that’s even more commendable and extremely challenging. Expect a ton of trials and tribulations by doing the latter.

Stop comparing yourself like that, first of all. You are on a unique path and don’t need to be like everyone else. Wanting to be like everyone else is a distraction. Be your own self and bring unique value to the world.
