  1. People are allowed to do all of those things. It’s a matter of how you respond to that which makes all the difference. I honestly don’t read books, so I couldn’t tell you.
  2. You’ve actually answered your own question, just in a different context, here:
  3. You can study the behavior of specific people to have a more nuanced understanding of how systems work. Zoom in, but don’t forget to also zoom out.
  4. Yes, my example ties in with that. The deceptive nature of discovering who we are is not to be taken for granted.
  5. I am severely allergic to carrots, but depending on the context. It’s a condition called oral allergy syndrome. For example, I can eat boiled carrots from a soup, yet taking a bite from a raw carrot or drinking carrot juice can literally kill me. Same thing, different context.
  6. I have a couple dates next week, simply by radically reframing how my mind works.
  7. I accept every perspective as my own, while also allowing my own sovereignty to co-exist.
  8. And now you’re surrounding yourself with those who are receptive and open to having dialogue with you! I tend to have this rule / fear in my head that every social situation will have the same risk of rejection that I received when I was younger, so avoiding them is the solution to never being abused again. However, this rule simply isn’t true when put to the test. Gradually exposing myself to all different kinds of social interactions helps break that rigid wall I’ve built for over a decade. I realize now that I’m actually rejecting and hurting myself by maintaining that wall. —- Here’s a fun recontexualization tying in with this!
  9. Actually, someone like Donald Trump.
  10. Uno = One You cannot play a game of Uno with only one card. Yet, somehow, UNO is playing itself.
  11. I don’t really have public speaking experience (but I do have experience with OCD). So I just wanted to say kudos for putting yourself out there! You’re helping spread awareness about a condition that has far too many misconceptions (even by most therapists since most aren’t OCD specialists). Watching that video is also an ERP opportunity
  12. And just for fun: The proof is in the pudding… …what is Pudding?
  13. The dream is God as well. Resisting the dream is resisting yourself. And so on and so forth. Now, we can have different perspectives of what the dream is. Nevertheless, all perspectives stand as God. And neither of us can prove that, only be.
  14. Similar to relationships. I’ve had horrible experiences with dating, family, friendships, etc. for over a decade. But now I’m focusing on building healthier ones. Even how I relate to psychedelics has changed. How I use them now is very different from how I used them even just a few months ago.
  15. How you treat others is precisely how you treat yourself. While there is a difference between you and me, the behavior is the same.
  16. I’ve missed out on all of that as well. Instead of trying to fit a square peg into a circular hole, focus on appreciating the square for what it is (you), and discover square holes to fit into.
  17. Nature is a powerful psychedelic.
  18. @Majed right… don’t want to let the shit hit the fan.
  19. *sigh* Time to call in the alien carpet cleaning professionals… again 🙄
  20. Damn… DALL·E 3 is hella clever with the double beak
  21. Physical appearance is not as important as one may assume.
  22. I have severe allergies to peanuts. I have a bias towards not being in anaphylactic shock.
  23. I’ve been repressing my feminine side for a long time. Thank you for the reminder!
