I see God as extremely selfish. The most selfish being in existence, in fact. He's the only one that exists. All is him. And everything exists only for him and no one else. I mean, how could he NOT be selfish? From his point of view everything in the Universe is just "Me, me, me". I came to this conclusion when I contemplated about the ego and why would it be wrong to have it (I mean the kind of ego that people talk negatively about). I found out it wasn't wrong. Everything I see around me is made for me to take and enjoy. Why not use it. Children are like that too. And they are the most accurate representation of God. -
Ok then replace the word "rich" with "get good at X"
-
Yeah you can. You just don't really want to. It's the same as people who want to get rich but won't put in the years (YEARS!) of hard work. So what they really should say is "It'd be nice to be rich" - but they don't really want it. They just like to fantasize about it. Also, how does it feel when you say "I'm to weak"? Does it feel good?

Please don't stop, the cigarette indunstry needs you.

What if you die in an accident before and you haven't lived your life?

Just kidding I don't listen anywhere close to this genre, but I do love these guy's energies. And they have grown on me and I like them now. In Slovenia we also have a great electronic music scene. And DJs from all over the world love our party people. I can't imagine going to a party in the US, where they start in the middle of the day and end at 2am.

Don't! That's how they get you. I see myself as doing the Lord's work by being optimistic in the world of increasing pessimism. This is my battle to have a good future. If I stop to fight, they win. They won't win. Edit: I forgot to add that I believe strongly in manifestation. What you belive will happen to you. We create the reality. This is my weapon.

Nice. This is similar to a walking meditation where you imagine yourself from the neck down, no head. -
It won't work, you need to send your photo ID to verify you're over 18. Fuck youtube. Search on Google how to bypass age restriction videos. You're welcome.

I would say having true purpose in your life and fulfilling it. I'm just guesssing, since I haven't reached it yet. But this must be the best feeling ever. Feeling accomplished and whole. Fuck yea

I had a bully on another forum. That guy was oozing hate from every pore of his body and psyche. And he found me to directe all of his hate to. I couldn't get rid of him, any time he saw me post, he needed to unload. It was difficult for me, but it must be even more difficult for him to be in that body. What agony, I can't imagine. Though he wouldn't adimt it. He doesn't see it. So I have found the best way how to work on people like these. I haven't mastered this yet, but I know when I do, I've reached the peak of my psychology. But the way you go a it is counter intuitive: Instead of being angry, all you have to do is try to imagine that person happy. But not just smiling and superficially happy. Try to really visualize him really joyful. Like he just got the best news in the world and all of his insides lit up from joy and pure happinness. Imagine him fulfilled. Imagine him having everything he ever wanted and getting it and you are now observing hm in the state of complete gratitude. Imagine that thing finally braking all of his pain inside and the hate and everything now just obliterated and radiating immense joy. Really really vizualize it. Can you still feel angry at him? I found out this immediately alleviates all of my anger to that person and not just that, but I suddenly feel enourmous love for him. Love that he is finally getting what he was searching for all of his life (because now in this moment when he still has a need to bully you, he obviously hasn't found it yet - that's why he channels his anger to people around him ho trigger him - people like you). I see how every dark cloud from him lifted and I see him genuinely smiling and being in ecstasy. I also see him realizing how he hurt other people and feeling bad for it. This is the practice. If you become a master at it no one will every be able to hurt you and even more, instead of feeling hate you will feel neverending joy for him. And at the same time when you feel joy for him, you will feel joy for yourself and what he did won't matter, because it didn't pierce and hurt you like it does now. It's an amazing exercise. I know it's tough when you feel hate, I still haven't mastered it myself, but in the glimpses I have when I work on it, the feeling is trully wholesome. I believe this can cure a lot of your problems you described. Try it. Try it for yourelf. Not for him. Even if he still bullies you, you will react totally the opposite. And he might change. And if not, it will have no effect on you.

I don't know. Since I am new to this forum I don't know you people much yet, but I like you. I like your problems and your posts, it's fun to read. I always like when people contribute a lot and you're one of them. But I can't relate what you're going through since I'm not in your shoes, so hope you working something out. I do like this forum very much, though. It's different than all the rest I have been on until now. The debates are on a different level and people are smarter here. I like the approaches to different world views, because it's far from basic. I was searching for something like this. Will see how it goes in the future.

Because they have a lot of Do's and Don't's. The moment someone starts telling me how I should behave, I've lost respect for that person and he clearly has no idea to me what life is about. Religions were made from people who don't understand life and who were not enlightened. They heard some enlightening stuff from the originator (let's say Jesus in case of Christianity) and they misinterpreted it and molded it into their own box of understanding - thus missing the real truth. So it's not the Truth, they are teaching a religion. -
High five! I was a waiter for 10 years, neighbouringt to you, Slovenia. It was really my passion for all this time. I loved working with people. But ever since I started really questioning if this is all ther is to my life, I have grown more and more out of it. Not because I didn't like it, I still love it, but I wanted to start pursuing a different path, one that would save me from financial burden and having to go to work for someone else every day and have a lot of free time and have money. But I'm not there yet. So now I'm currently employed by watching over a house. It's a long story, I don't want to explain it. But I do have a lot of time to study my new field.

I don't think I respect religions. I respect the first person who it started from because I believe that person understood life, but after that it just gets tainted by people who didn't really get the point. But to me, perhaps Buddhism would be the closest to liking, but I haven't studied it really, just know of it in the broadest sense. I don't know what Hinduism and Judaism are and their story. -

A man came to me. He had been suffering from chain-smoking for thirty years; he was ill and the doctors said, “You will never be healthy if you don’t stop smoking. ” But he was a chronic smoker; he could not help it. He had tried — not that he had not tried — he had tried hard, and he had suffered much in trying, but one day or two days, and then again the urge would come so tremendously, it would simply take him away. Again he would fall into the same pattern. Because of this smoking he had lost self-confidence: he knows he cannot do a small thing; he cannot stop smoking… He said, “What can I do? How can I stop smoking?” I said, “Nobody can stop smoking. You have to understand. Smoking is not only a question of your decision now. It has entered into your world of habits, it has taken roots. Thirty years is a long time. It has taken roots in your body, in your chemistry, it has spread all over. It is not just a question of your head deciding; your head cannot do anything. The head is impotent; it can start things, but it cannot stop so easily. Once you have started and once you have practiced so long, you are a great yogi — thirty years’ practicing smoking. It has become autonomous; you will have to de-automatize it. ” He said, “What do you mean by ‘de-automatization’?” And that’s what meditation is all about: de-automatization. I said, “You do one thing: forget about stopping. There is no need either. For thirty years you have smoked and lived; of course it was a suffering, but you have become accustomed to that too. And what does it matter if you die a few hours earlier than you would have died without smoking? What are you going to do here? What have you done? So what is the point — whether you die Monday or Tuesday or Sunday, this year, that year — what does it matter?” He said, “Yes, that is true, it doesn’t matter.” Then I said, “Forget about it; we are not going to stop it at all. Rather, we are going to understand it. So next time, you make it a meditation. ” He said, “Meditation out of smoking?” I said, “Yes. If Zen people can make meditation out of drinking tea, and can make it a ceremony, why not? Smoking can be as beautiful a meditation. ” He looked thrilled. He said, “What are you saying?” He became alive! He said, “Meditation? Just tell me — I can’t wait! ” I gave him the meditation. I said, “Do one thing. When you take the packet out of your pocket, for a moment go slowly. When you are taking the packet of cigarettes out of your pocket move slowly. Enjoy it, there is no hurry. Be conscious, alert, aware; take it out slowly, with full awareness. Then take the cigarette out of the packet with full awareness, slowly — not in the old hurried way, unconscious way, mechanical way. Then start tapping the cigarette on your packet — but very alertly. Listen to the sound, just as Zen people do when the samovar starts singing and the tea starts boiling, and the aroma. Then smell the cigarette and the beauty of it…. ” He said, “What are you saying? The beauty?” “Yes, it is beautiful. Tobacco is as divine as anything. Smell it; it is God’s smell.” He looked a little surprised. He said, “What, are you joking?” “No, I am not joking.” Even when I joke, I don’t joke. I am very serious. “Then put it in your mouth, with full awareness, light it with full awareness. Enjoy every act, small act, and divide it into as many small acts as possible, so you can become more and more aware. “Then have the first puff: God in the form of smoke. Hindus say, ‘annam brahm’ — ‘ Food is God.’ Why not smoke? All is God. Fill your lungs deeply — this is a pranayam. I am giving you the new yoga for the new age! Then release the smoke, relax, another puff… and go very slowly. “If you can do it, you will be surprised, soon you will see the whole stupidity of it. Not because others have said that it is stupid, not because others have said that it is bad: you will see it. And the seeing will not be just intellectual. It will be from your total being, it will be a vision of your totality. And then, one day, if it drops, it drops; if it continues, it continues. You need not worry about it. ” After three months he came, and he said, “But it dropped.” “Now, ” I said, “try it on other things too. ” This is the secret, the secret: de-automatize. Walking, walk slowly, watchfully. Looking, look watchfully, and you will see trees are greener than they have ever been and roses are rosier than they have ever been. Listen. Somebody is talking, gossiping: listen, listen attentively. When you are talking, talk attentively. Let your whole waking activity become de-automatized. -OSHO -

My biggest problem now is battling fear. I still haven't internalized this so I wouldn't be afraid of some the social dynamics anymore (mainly approaching women). -
I used to live with a lady that had a few liter water jug standing on the kitchen shelf, in the sun. She poured the water from the faucet into the jug and then used this water instead. She said water gets broken down in the pipes and the sun "puts it back to its original state. I searched the internet but there's conflicting stuff. And some say to put it in the sun for 15 minutes, other sources say a few hours. I ike to think there is truth in this, but does anyone have any thougths about this?

I watched it half scared from all the comments here. I already knew before that everything is me and I'm alone in the Universe (I don't get why I don't experience the same enlightened feeling as Leo and someone_else, though), but I thought this is going to make some other shift in me, something to push me even more over the edge of understanding. It's a good video, but nothing of real mindshifting value was gained. Perhaps I expected too much and also I have been reading about it here constantly. I guess the people having trouble with this are the ones who didn't know these things before and were now shocked at hearing the truth.

@JuliusCaesar said he can access that space where he can see the future. He also predicted lottery numbers. I wonder his take about it.

Guys. How can a person without scientific background know anything today? Like, really. I feel lost. Each time I think I understand something new so I can better my health, I then get some completely opposite answer from some other knowledgable person who is clearly more educated than me. So if I can't read scientific papers and decide for myself, it always comes down to trusting one party or another. So I'm never sure if I decided for the right thing. I have to just trust the person and hope I made the right choice. I'm saying this because, in this case, I always thought natural pesticides are better, and I was buying organic as much as I could. But then I stumbled on to this page and this guy clearly must know what he's talking about, because he's a chemist. He tries to debunk myths that aren't true and in this case he's advocating for syntetic pesticides. Kind of. When I read the blog it all sounds completely logical. But then there's one side of me that "believes" organic is better. I can't decide for myself, I have to select who I will trust more. Stupid. Can anyone here share his own views on pesticides in our food? This is the blog. It's a very interesting read, but I'm having internal battles. Does anyone perhaps find any flaws in his logic? https://www.gardenmyths.com/natural-pesticides/#more-116

I don't think a classical doctor would do. I've read about Indian doctors (or how you would call them) that find the causes of your problems by feeling your heartbeat with their hands. Ayurvedic doctors? It was a book on Ayurveda and the thyroid. Or I've heard of chinese medicine also working in a similar way. So try to find people like that.
