  1. @Ritu Whenever that starts happening see it, slowww down, and breath. Simply notice your breath.
  2. The honey of truth can taste bitter.
  3. @How to be wise Knowledge is 'occupied' consciousness. Nothing wrong with knowledge per se, As long as you see it for what it is.
  4. I've seen this many times at concerts. In the parking lot too before the concert even got started.
  5. See where I put the **** ? You resisted to what is. You had it but lost it. Next time, just stay with the bird. Ask yourself 'where is the sound of the bird located'? If you sit with it long enough, you may be surprised at the answer.
  6. Just sharing a thought. haha But isn't 'ego' just another way of saying thought?
  7. Could CRISPR be the next chapter of the human race? Imagine living for 150 years or more disease free. The technology is already here with the help of super computers that target one out of a million genes to either edit out or insert a replacement gene of choice. That genetic edit than carries on to future generations so it's a permanent alteration of the species . The biggest change to humanity in recent history has been the computer and internet. Could CRISPR be next? Leo's latest video about 'Systems' fits this topic well. What could be the implications of playing God with a system such as the human race?
  8. Tons of implications to consider. And I'm sure most of them haven't even been thought about yet. We'll be hearing a lot of debate about this in the near future though. Especially once the courts decide who owns the rights to CRISPR. What a shame it's that way. CRISPR belongs to all humans to decide for themselves if this is a good thing or not. Here's a thought too. Some countries may use CRISPR in all kinds of experiments. Who knows what the hell they could come up with.
  9. @OuterAll good stuff. But on the negative side, wouldn't it also cause overpopulation? Somehow that would have to be addressed also.
  10. Yea, It has for all of us here in that context. But lets say for the sake of conversation that you had cancer. And CRISPR offered a cure. Would you still binge watch the cancer while remaining invisible? The cancer would be part of the present moment, wouldn't it?
  11. @Stoica Doru Matt Kahn refers to this as 'The next Floor'. as
  12. @No-ThingSurrender to the fact that the universe knows exactly what it is doing. Everything is exactly where it should be in this moment.
  13. @barry Hey Barry, sounds like your ego disappears for 10-15 minutes. Great start! It should increase over time with practice. Stick with it!
  14. Thank you! Now it all makes sense! Something was missing here since this morning. Lol
  15. I shall remember 'Cetana'. It is similar to Cetus 'the monster' -ego, desire, intention
  16. @Shanmugam The ego has to start somewhere though. First with an 'intention' to break the bonds of self into liberation? But what your sharing here is that even the intention to break those bonds has karmic implications that must be payed also? Karma being like borrowing money with interest. But the faster you try to pay it off, the more interest is accrued?.
  17. 1. LANGUAGE STRONGLY INFLUENCES THOUGHT. Benjamin Whorf, like Sapir studied Native American languages. Whorf sites several examples form the Native American language, Hopi, to support his hypothesis that thought is strongly based on language. According to Whorf the Hopi language does not contain any words, grammatical constructions or expressions that refer to the English concept of ‘time.’ Whorf goes on to explain that it is possible in the Hopi language to express the world or reality in ways other than what many languages refer to as ‘time.’ The Hopi view of reality is specific to the language and can only be best expressed if one is familiar with the language (Carroll, 1956:57). In this example where Whorf feels language strongly influences thought
  18. @phoenix666 I hear you. The English language is especially full of concepts and dualities. Most or what we convey to each other is in reference from the location of "I". " Yesterday I seen a bird flying south" for instance.
  19. Maybe not? An alien race communicates through logograms instead of verbal language (which is a very slow and limited way of exchanging large amounts of information). Their language was also beyond all mental concepts such as time, as in- yesterday, tomorrow, was, will be, ect If your interested, check out the Sapir-Whorf hypothesis http://blog.wolfram.com/2017/01/31/analyzing-and-translating-an-alien-language-arrival-logograms-and-the-wolfram-language/
  20. I just woke up, made a cup of decafe coffee and checked the forum. Wow-what did I miss??? Prabhaker is who else? What's all this have to do with Osho? Is Anna1 the same person as Annetta? Reality seems to have morphed since I went to bed last night. Who is who today? Can I be Leo? This is a trip! Great way to start the day with a reality check- there is none!
  21. @phoenix666 Have you seen the movie "Arrival"?
  22. @Dizzy I get the colors and the images in my peripheral vision a lot. Also a purple glow around objects sometimes. Who knows what that is. Oh, yea, sometimes reality goes "flat screen" too. They didn't mention that one! Btw-I haven't done trip for probably 30 years. But everything that was experienced then is slowly integrating itself over time. 1 Recognize the symptoms of Hallucinogen-Persistent Perception Disorder (HPPD). Flashbacks are the trademark symptom of HPPD. You may notice that you continue to have flashbacks beyond the few days after drug use. You may also experience persistent changes in your perception after taking hallucinogenic drugs. If you have perception changes, you may see:[2] Geometric shapes Objects in your peripheral vision (along the sides or edges of sight) Colored flashes Enhanced color intensity Trailing and strobe-like moving objects After images or impressions Halos Objects that appear small or large
