  1. Yes very much so. Can you really know anything?
  2. Well it means that the body is conditioned to be fearful of that. One body can be fearful of snakes while another becomes curious if it sees one. But it can't really tell illusion from what's real. A thought of a snake can be just as fearful as a real snake if the thought is identified with.
  3. I'm not talking about happiness. I'm talking about going deeper into the awakening. You want security and future but awakening is about free falling into the unknown. Something is there holding on for dear life and it's holding on to the absolute.
  4. @Truth Addict So you've realized the absolute. That what you thought you were don't exist. That's all true but maybe there is more to see if you let go of the absolute perspective? Maybe this is what needs to let go of? The knowing and want to know?
  5. That's interesting. How did you come to that conclusion?
  6. @Mu_ Mm an important aspect to waking up at the heart level. Guarding yourself from bad feelings and trying to control life really hinders you to experience it fully.
  7. Do you have to do what others think you should do?
  8. @Dumb Enlightened The movement between the transcended state and the personal state is normal in the beginning. this thread might be helpful: Also this video is about the "journey" after awakening.
  9. @Highest Does God require anything of you?
  10. That's hard to imagine, right? Not knowing what your going to say when you open your mouth.
  11. @Applejuice Your on the right track. But I get the sense that you are "doing" the search which is a mindbased event. Instead be "still" and look without any expectations for an answer.
  12. I want push the +rep button on this one but there is no one to push. Was it here or was it only a dream?
  13. @Tausif Ahmed Spirituality is to look into all your beliefs about you and the world and question if they are real or not. Doesn't that sound at least a little bit scientific to you? The main difference is that you look within your own experience (sight, sound, taste, feel, smell, thought) instead of using the scientific method.
  14. @Tausif Ahmed Another way of looking at it is: Does the person that is experiencing it perceive it as real or not. Have you ever had a dream that felt real only to wake up confused and asked yourself was it really a dream? It felt so real! Have you ever had a dream which you were aware all along that it was just that? What if you had a spiritual experience. How would it differ if you perceived it as real or a hallucination?
  15. Yes you can see things from an absolute perspective as well but don't mistake that to be the same perspective as the absolutists perspective. ? The Absolutists perspective is that there are no perspectives.
  16. In the relative there is no absolute truth. There are different perspectives, some which are more valid then others, but no absolute perspective. Then there is the absolute which all relative happen in.
  17. Some kind of practice away from the cushion might help.
  18. From a pedagogic standpoint that's probably a nice move. Ah thanks. Do you mind me messaging you a question about the jhanas?
