The taintedness we see in others is the taindedness we see in ourselves. We grow by exerting ourselves and then during a rest period we grow stronger. If you lift weights you tear up your muscles in the process, and then while you rest your body grows them back better than before. If humans throw you out of your element, hold your focus on what's real about them, then use nature as a rest period. If you only ever rest you won't grow. If you only ever challenge yourself, you will also not grow. If God, or nature or consciousness was happy with nature as it is, animals never would have evolved. We are nature, there was no point in time that we ever truly split from it,.

You are just a pore, a tiny opening looking out from and into the world from within the vast, borderless, formless sea cucumber of consciousness. What you think you are is actually just an opening calling the first thing it sees itself, and the next not itself, like a baby bird imprinting on its Momma. -

Muninn, it's one of Odin's hunting ravens. Kind of funny and a bit ironic since the breed is a bird hunting dog. I remember your post about Max, it's SO hard to say goodbye. -
A Rupert Spira analogy really helped me understand this better recently. Picture that our normal waking state is like a camera lens in focus on objects. Out of focus there's infinite potential and inclusion of everything, but no distinguishable objects. Consciousness with no object is deep sleep. As soon as you zoom in on a subject there's duality but also everything seems clear, in focus and distinguishable, it comes into being or creation. Somewhere in between you've got archetypes, dream states, what we call the subconscious and all kinds of stuff. There's no real state changes though, you can never pin point where you begin and end each state change, just like you can't remember your own birth. So there's a certain susceptibility to seemingly being strongly in one state or another that gets integrated or seen through. Like the theme of so many stories, we go out on an adventure in seemingly dangerous, magical territory, to bring back something (to the waking state.) That's the story though. The author of the story never leaves her desk.

He is sitting up and also begging for a bellyrub, which you can sort of see in his eyes. -

I saw this comment somewhere the other day and I loved it. "This is either a fairy tale or a death trap." Once you realize death is not... it's just a fairytale. And I'm still just so in love with the wonder of it. I'm forever thankful to this forum and everyone all along who helped bring me along to the craziness here. Even if it's still hard to surf the waves of it sometimes. I'm also really thankful for my dog, who I've had for about a year now. I'm a dog person and I've had a lot of great dogs, but followed my intuition on this one, and he is just AMAZING in so many ways. I just can't get over it. -
My advice would be to try diet first. I had something that may have been endometriosis but also had symptoms of PCOS and was also advised to take birth control pills. Birth control pills made it much worse, and turned it into a much weirder concerning pain, over a much longer period of time. Cutting dairy and sugar seemed to be a huge help. Also add in more veggies and healthy fats. Cruciferous vegetables (kale, broccoli) help regulate hormones. You should be taking vitamin D if you don't get much sun, and in order to properly absorb and use the vitamin D you also need to be making sure you get vitamin K and A to go with it, so eat an orange veggie and green leafy veggie every single day. You might really get a lot out of this book. Oh how I wish I'd known what was in it about 15 years sooner. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07ZY62QSX/ref=dbs_a_def_rwt_hsch_vapi_tkin_p1_i1

Isn't that essentially what all spiritual teachings aim to do? Tap into what resonates with you. All teachers have unique angles of teachings and different ones resonate at different times. You can't really shortcut by asking others if there's something more direct or accurate out there. The more "direct" a teaching is the more difficult it is to really define the teachings. I've read books that have changed and shifted things completely, but if you asked me to write a book report or summarize the book or what I got from it, I'd just be like, "uhhmmmm..." -
I'd have guessed Ravenclaw, but I can kinda see it.

Well when did it all start? It has to start somewhere in order to end somewhere. -
Mmm, sorry. I has no patience.

Dementia can be a devastating thing for families, but I think most of the suffering stems from misunderstanding of what the mind is. Also the fact that our society is not structured well to really care for people in old age and I think that's partly because we don't appreciate the value in it, but that's beside the point. A lot of caregivers continually try to tell people with dementia exactly how things are when they are deluded about things or seeing things, rather than intuiting what the right response is. My grandmother died a natural death at home and there were some incredible circumstances and things that happened that even allowed her to be able to die at home in the first place. The "dementia" probably started in a year or two before her death. A friend of hers died a couple days before, no one had told her but she greeted her and said she was in her room. Right before she died, she seemed to react strongly to the energy in the room. She was lovely to certain people taking care of her and became mean and aggressive when other people would care for her. -
Umm, Gryffindor of course.

I don't think that it's about that kind of fear really, unless you are suffering a lot by thinking about being in physical danger, then maybe it is. Fear and desire (as in focusing on not having what you want, the opposite of gratitude, not pure desire) create karma which feeds into the idea of being a good person. Concept of the self as a person means big trouble basically. lol So doing good because we want to see ourselves as good is a misunderstanding, and when we see the motives beyond it, we see that we are Good. But... we still want to do good. Like really, really, this is what I came here for, right? We can just split ourselves less, and align with the good that already is and not run from fear. Then we're not really doing anything, but everything gets done without inner resistance, but not necessarily without resistance. Like sometimes you have to knock an old building down to build something new. But if we see ourselves as a builder and a builder only, we would never get to build what wants to be built. -

When I was a kid I went ice skating with some older kids. My mom came down and checked out the pond and told us all not to cross this fallen log for a boundary line. Then she left. After a while we all skated over and looked over the log. Showing off, and being rebellious, I put one put over the log and immediately it went right through the ice. Whether it was that or other things combined, I never rebelled as a teenager. It was definitely fear driven. The book Women Who Run With Wolves explores a theme where we are told that a certain room is off limits. We may explore everything, except that one room. Who is bad? The person who tells us something is off limits and says we must obey? Was Eve the first sinner by eating the apple or was God for saying that something was off limits? Or is it one and the same? -

You are an activity, not yourself. We can say the sky is blue, and believe it to be true and we can ask why the sky is blue, but it isn't blue at all. It changes. It also doesn't change. That is more true than saying the sky is blue. -

If you do a search for Nisargadatta Maharaj and karma he spoke about it a lot from different angles. "Karma, or destiny, is an expression of a beneficial law: the universal trend towards balance, harmony and unity. At every moment, whatever happens now, is for the best. It may appear painful and ugly, a suffering bitter and meaningless, yet considering the past and the future it is for the best, as the only way out of a disastrous situation." Also, All these sufferings are man-made and it is within man's power to put an end to them. God helps by facing man with the results of his actions and demanding that the balance should be restored. Karma is the law that works for righteousness; it is the healing hand of God. Pure experience does not bind; experience caught between desire and fear is impure and creates karma. -Nisargadatta Maharaj “Questioner: We were told about karma and reincarnation, evolution and Yoga, masters and disciples. What are we to do with all this knowledge? Maharaj: Leave it all behind you. Forget it. Go forth, unburdened with ideas and beliefs. Abandon all verbal structures, all relative truth, all tangible objectives. The Absolute can be reached by absolute devotion only. Don't be half-hearted. Q: I must begin with some absolute truth. Is there any? M: Yes, there is, the feeling: 'I am'. Begin with that.” -
I think the root of the problem goes back, way back, and we feel like we didn't give consent to be born in the first place. But we forgot our power, and who we really are. And out of our forgetting we dominate or want to be dominated, forgetting that anyone we seek to merge with is already intimately us.

Why would a woman who is scared of her own power and who has been trained to be scared of her own power elect another powerful woman to lead her? She wouldn't. Kill the messenger or listen. Mother Earth is eventually gonna have her way with all of us if you don't though.
