Well when did it all start? It has to start somewhere in order to end somewhere. -
Mmm, sorry. I has no patience.

Dementia can be a devastating thing for families, but I think most of the suffering stems from misunderstanding of what the mind is. Also the fact that our society is not structured well to really care for people in old age and I think that's partly because we don't appreciate the value in it, but that's beside the point. A lot of caregivers continually try to tell people with dementia exactly how things are when they are deluded about things or seeing things, rather than intuiting what the right response is. My grandmother died a natural death at home and there were some incredible circumstances and things that happened that even allowed her to be able to die at home in the first place. The "dementia" probably started in a year or two before her death. A friend of hers died a couple days before, no one had told her but she greeted her and said she was in her room. Right before she died, she seemed to react strongly to the energy in the room. She was lovely to certain people taking care of her and became mean and aggressive when other people would care for her. -
Umm, Gryffindor of course.

I don't think that it's about that kind of fear really, unless you are suffering a lot by thinking about being in physical danger, then maybe it is. Fear and desire (as in focusing on not having what you want, the opposite of gratitude, not pure desire) create karma which feeds into the idea of being a good person. Concept of the self as a person means big trouble basically. lol So doing good because we want to see ourselves as good is a misunderstanding, and when we see the motives beyond it, we see that we are Good. But... we still want to do good. Like really, really, this is what I came here for, right? We can just split ourselves less, and align with the good that already is and not run from fear. Then we're not really doing anything, but everything gets done without inner resistance, but not necessarily without resistance. Like sometimes you have to knock an old building down to build something new. But if we see ourselves as a builder and a builder only, we would never get to build what wants to be built. -

When I was a kid I went ice skating with some older kids. My mom came down and checked out the pond and told us all not to cross this fallen log for a boundary line. Then she left. After a while we all skated over and looked over the log. Showing off, and being rebellious, I put one put over the log and immediately it went right through the ice. Whether it was that or other things combined, I never rebelled as a teenager. It was definitely fear driven. The book Women Who Run With Wolves explores a theme where we are told that a certain room is off limits. We may explore everything, except that one room. Who is bad? The person who tells us something is off limits and says we must obey? Was Eve the first sinner by eating the apple or was God for saying that something was off limits? Or is it one and the same? -

You are an activity, not yourself. We can say the sky is blue, and believe it to be true and we can ask why the sky is blue, but it isn't blue at all. It changes. It also doesn't change. That is more true than saying the sky is blue. -

If you do a search for Nisargadatta Maharaj and karma he spoke about it a lot from different angles. "Karma, or destiny, is an expression of a beneficial law: the universal trend towards balance, harmony and unity. At every moment, whatever happens now, is for the best. It may appear painful and ugly, a suffering bitter and meaningless, yet considering the past and the future it is for the best, as the only way out of a disastrous situation." Also, All these sufferings are man-made and it is within man's power to put an end to them. God helps by facing man with the results of his actions and demanding that the balance should be restored. Karma is the law that works for righteousness; it is the healing hand of God. Pure experience does not bind; experience caught between desire and fear is impure and creates karma. -Nisargadatta Maharaj “Questioner: We were told about karma and reincarnation, evolution and Yoga, masters and disciples. What are we to do with all this knowledge? Maharaj: Leave it all behind you. Forget it. Go forth, unburdened with ideas and beliefs. Abandon all verbal structures, all relative truth, all tangible objectives. The Absolute can be reached by absolute devotion only. Don't be half-hearted. Q: I must begin with some absolute truth. Is there any? M: Yes, there is, the feeling: 'I am'. Begin with that.” -
I think the root of the problem goes back, way back, and we feel like we didn't give consent to be born in the first place. But we forgot our power, and who we really are. And out of our forgetting we dominate or want to be dominated, forgetting that anyone we seek to merge with is already intimately us.

Why would a woman who is scared of her own power and who has been trained to be scared of her own power elect another powerful woman to lead her? She wouldn't. Kill the messenger or listen. Mother Earth is eventually gonna have her way with all of us if you don't though.

I'm sorry, but no one told Martin Luther King that he had a racism shadow to work on. Sometimes when you are actually a member of a group that isn't being seen or heard you have to speak up. Of course the US is ready for black male president, still not for a woman president. So what do we get instead? Trump. "Grab em' by the pussy." That's what they all want, right? Otherwise, they are just ugly butch lesbians. There's a massive collective shadow about letting women have the upper hand. Or even a say.

The original didn't have "of course clue him in" added. And I've seen the same thing here said before.

That is most definitely NOT the case. Honest to God, this is absolutely surreal that you would say this on a public forum. This goes against everything women have worked so hard for decades to secure. In the not too distant past rape within marriage wasn't illegal. This place is supposed to be about progress, actualization. Maybe that was just MY fantasy. Apparently it's only about progress for those with XY chromosomes.

Pick your absolute favorite show. Make time for it. Drop the guilt. Pick the book you absolutely want to read the most. Make time for it. Find a zoom meeting or a group for something you're really interested in, make time for it.

Ego thinks it's a thing so it's constantly fucking stuff up. It thinks it sees other things as they are and how they are. Little does it know that what it thinks it knows is already past, dead and gone. It killed it. So it fears being past, dead and gone, because it already IS that, creating that, covering over the immutable, immortal, actuality of its true Identity. You can experience that when you surrender to life, things work out amazingly well, and things that really didn't are seen as actually working out too. It's a lot more surprising that we can live with that misconception than without it. "Therefore I say unto you, Be not anxious for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than the food, and the body than the raiment? Behold the birds of the heaven, that they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; and your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are not ye of much more value than they? And which of you by being anxious can add one cubit unto [a]the measure of his life? And why are ye anxious concerning raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: yet I say unto you, that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. - Jesus -
What do you want from life? Who do you want to be? If you could have your dream job, position or business what would it be? Where do you want to go? What do you want to experience, see, do, feel? Start writing it all down. Go wild. We don't often do this because we unconsciously resist what we want. Notice the thoughts that resist and let them go. If your deepest fantasy is someone you actually secretly desire, taking you and literally doing all the work, so you don't even have to CONSENT, well, it might point to the fact that you really, really want to give yourself permission to desire and let go of the resistance to those desires. Also, nothing is more powerful or more seductive than a woman who knows what she wants and knows she is worthy of it.

Talking bad about positions of power can be a way of getting others to follow and believe you instead. Not that that's either right or wrong, but a common enemy is a quick shortcut to loyalty.

Everyone and everything you encounter is your spiritual Teacher, and it's all just as admirable as your favorite teacher. -
It gets tricky when you think you have something to lose.

Vulnerable? It's just a dream within a dream. If you think it's vulnerable, you're just not lucid. If you think about it, the only reason everyone is so hot and bothered by Leo is that he was the first to be vulnerable. That's what makes a strong leader.

“The way of love is not a subtle argument. The door there is devastation. Birds make great sky-circles of their freedom. How do they learn it? They fall, and falling, they're given wings.” ― Rumi HA! I will use Rumi to make my subtle arguments for me. Oh wait.
