Even the rural area thing is changing. More stage green people are leaving cities for a slower paced, more naturally connected life, kind of like happened in the 60's. I've seen that trend here and it's happening faster and faster. We had a real estate boom like we've never seen before over the summer with coronavirus pushing people to leave cities. Lots of younger people I grew up with who left have returned home for good.

In my state masks are ordered, but I live in a red pocket of a blue state, so rather than being enforced here, it's being used as a political statement to not wear a mask. It's insane.

@Opo I know, but one of our values on this forum is seeing things from other perspectives. The strange thing about liberty and freedom is that it's perspectiveLESS. Voting for an authority figure to express your love of freedom is the most IRONIC thing ever. This isn't even a democracy in the least. Democracy is a concept that isn't actually what's happening, and it's a concept no one has really stopped to question or consider except to say they love it. All they consider is fear of socialism instead, which likewise, no one has stopped to consider what socialism is in actuality. Fear of loss of freedom and love of freedom are so easily confused. And often the confusion that results from fear takes the form of someone attempting to take someone else's freedom because they believe that freedom can be taken. Hence, "You can do anything." Which is ironic again, because when I remove those words from context, they become something else, free.
