  1. I think it's mostly the colonial history (which is very problematic and partly still going on) war in Algeria etc. and the high numbers of Muslim immigrants, just like in Belgium. Also France is a very proud nation. But for example people like Erdogan only understand "strength" i welcomed it when France stopped him in the eastern mediterranean a few weeks ago. As a woman do you find it problematic that many women are scared to show themselves in certain French neighbourhoods and get harassed etc.? Do you blame the French government for allowing such "ghettoisation"? Or do you also blame people who take their religion too serious? So you think it's always right wingers xenophobes and bigots who yell "free speech"? Or those far right wingers etc. just hide under the "free speech" umbrella which others actually take serious and are honest about?
  2. Yea i mean a lot of the real grudges in Europe are mostly gone between countries. Europe was devastated during WW1 and 2. France and Germany don't really hold grudges, Netherlands Germany etc.
  3. That's a cool subject. What kind of movies would you have liked to make?
  4. Which country has really healed it's past though? Germany maybe? but they were forced.
  5. Did you ever check if you have ADD/ADHD ?
  6. Three more people killed in France today by extremists because of this "free speech" comic thing Stabbed and almost beheaded in a church in Nice. There have also been incidents in Avignon and Lyon. France has a population of almost 10% Muslims this could get even a lot uglier than now.
  7. it's already cringey though "" we won't be over these issues for a long time, so that's not realistic in the near or midterm future. what said about deciding which values etc. is a short to midterm semi realistic goal.
  8. i feel as "societies" we need to think deep and long about what our values actually are, introspection, deep dives, debates etc. and if one value collides with another one, which value do we value more. even if "nothing is more important than the other thing" or else things will get real dicey in the "near" future, they already kind of are. and if we say we value democracy over something else for example, then we can't just support dictatorships around the world and sell them weapons etc.
  9. If so who's? Could also be a political group, a religion etc. etc. Don't see myself as anybody's follower, never have and don't think ever will but i also don't really see myself as a leader. For example i listen to Leo's stuff and think about it and try things out but don't believe everything etc. (haven't listened very long to his stuff either) In some ways it's a weakness and in some ways it's a strength. A weakness because if i'd totally follow somebody i could probably learn more and faster, totally immerse myself, after enough learning could drop that "following" and follow the next person or thing at a higher level. In some ways it's a strength because i couldn't totally loose myself, really get hoodwinked like that, etc. follow somebody for years and then be disappointed. maybe if the "right" person or group came a long i'd be a follower too but don't really see that happening
  10. And while they're already operating and we're at it i could even get a nicer nose with a little fix just kidding
  11. So you think we need exact rules/laws on what's allowed to say/draw etc. and what not? I mean there are laws on slander, defamation etc. I like your avatar, where's it from?
  12. ^i don't think i've ever followed anybody on twitter, facebook, insta, youtube nor any other online place i think never even had instagram and twitter
  13. what about this? couldn't do it though, ashamed what my neighbours might think. maybe sports/running or the "letting go" technique
  14. ^here i'd say women's rights are more important but it's also a bit selfish since i wasn't raised with any religion but by a mother who taught me how important women's rights are etc. and i'm never saying it's 100% one or the other, these are difficult questions
  15. ugh cute yea i also like to wear sweaters, wool sweaters, scarfs and nice jackets sometimes. Something people who live in a place with just one season know nothing about
  16. another question, what's more important if the values clash, women's rights and freedom or the right and freedom to practice religion? or do we decide case by case? because at some points values are clashing, and if we're not sure which value is more important to us as a society then we'll always be wobbly
  17. huh so you say it's just a conspiracy theory? what if it were true though? https://www.france24.com/en/20190213-france-surge-anti-semitism-jews-hate-speech-yellow-vests-far-right Jews in France get it from the far right and from "extremist" Muslims
  18. depends on the severity. if they say it's not severe i won't but if they say i'd have a real benefit then i will. here's the podcast
  19. What about the "ghettoisation" in some places/neighbourhoods in France which are mostly Muslim and women can't (or are scared to) wear skirts etc. because of oppression etc. and many Jews fleeing France because of discrimination etc. is that not a problem at all?
  20. i'll actually also get my nose checked in about a month, made the appointment yesterday. If it's blocked i'm probably going for surgery. There was an interesting Rogan podcast a while ago which talked about the importance of nose breathing, don't remember the guests name though.
  21. I mean i wouldn't want chaos and suffering for me my surroundings and everybody else and i'd fear that after a revolution let's say just even worse leaders come to power so the suffering wouldn't even be worth it, like the arab spring for example. Also some things i'm not for now but i hope in the future we can have it. Like let's say open borders, i hope at some point we can open all borders etc. But we're not there by a long shot and for now i wouldn't want that since societies, values etc. are so different. First we have to evolve on our own time in our own regions.
  22. Listened to some of his stuff and tried some things, mostly didn't work for me. Maybe i should have tried longer/harder. I do think positive affirmations can work though if you imagine a positive outcome etc.
  23. I think those question i could mostly all answer with a yes. Still don't know enough about sd though.
