  1. for example you know how some people walk "cooler" than others then that walk makes them feel even "cooler" i mean "cool" might be a weird specific kind of of a feeling etc. maybe it's also a culmination of other feelings
  2. Depends. i've been bullied as a kid by a bigger kid for months once. nobody helped me no teacher no parent no siblings. so one day i beat that bully up when i was about 10 or 11 y o. And that did feel good, also that bully left me alone after that. But as a grown up you should find other ways than "revenge"
  3. yikes bitcoin/crypto broke my heart in 2017 when that bull run happened
  4. I'm not necessarily meaning worse. I just "fear" many people won't hold him accountable for the "bad" stuff because of the Trauma of Trump "Oh well at least he ain't Trump" The fear might be unsubstantiated though because many on the left have been pretty tough and critical on him.
  5. What system are you looking into and how much is it going to cost?
  6. That's maybe true. But imo it could have been even a lot worse, he could have started some big war(s) etc. Biden was for the Iraq war i think and he threw tons of people in jail for small amount of drugs. Just because one of them is "bad" doesn't make the other one "good" He seems like a nice grandpa though Video about Biden "Appeasing the right" Video on how Biden "fueled mass incarceration" I mean i guess at the time the second video came out, it was Biden vs Bernie so Democracy now was taking sides, but it's all fair points imo I'm not saying he will be a bad/horrible president btw, we'll see how it goes, there are many good things about him too.
  7. I generally don't agree with that analysis What are your thoughts on Biden in the past?
  8. If you see that they try to cancel somebody who doesn't deserve it, try to speak up If someone deserves it, that's fine I don't think the climate of fear of being cancelled for saying the wrong thing is productive to discuss and come up with solutions to complicated issues that society faces and if they go at science that's just mostly silly and problematic. (even though leo goes at science too ) I've read somewhere that cancel culture is another issue which is magnified by algorithms just like conspiracy theories, division etc.
  9. It seems like the masses have a very simplistic world view and that makes it very dangerous. This is wrong this is right. I'm right/left. This is evil, this is good. Now simplicity in itself is not a bad thing, living a simple life etc. But it seems like this type of thinking is perfect for conflict, can be easily used/misused by populists, media, the army, religions, extremists etc. How can we get away from that and how do you deal with people who're stuck in such a type of thinking? Do you try to talk to them on their level of simplicity or do you try to explain to them the nuances of subjects etc.
  10. if you're not lactose intolerant and don't have any other problems digesting milk or milk sensitivities and you buy good organic dairy products, then i think it's a good source. maybe not daily though
  11. the woman clearly asks him about "plant medicine" and they title the video with weed and alcohol? wtf silly
  12. Oh yes everyday almost I generally put some raw cacao powder, hot water, honey and coconut milk in it.
  13. What's your definition of propaganda? IMO probably almost all (or all) news outlets, reporters etc. are doing propaganda to some degree because distributed information is always a bit biased. Even someone like Bernie Sanders (whom i like) if he talks great about Nordic European systems, countries etc. he probably wouldn't tell you about their problems a lot. He keeps certain info in and leaves certain info out to fit a certain a narrative Now with some it's much more obvious (and also dangerous) than with others. So maybe we can agree that when a certain line is crossed we can really call it propaganda. I think if you're watching news (and i'm not suggesting you necessarily need to or should) then it's good to also watch news from opposing viewpoints sometimes even if it's "propaganda"
  14. Yea i stated it very generally because it's basically about everything. Even a statement like "the sky is blue" isn't really true. But it can get very dangerous with things like politics, religion etc.
  15. Freedom of expression, right to criticise religion, leaders etc. make fun of them, talk about everything? Or the feelings of certain individuals who feel discriminated against? For example right now there's a huge issue in France after those released comics and a teacher got beheaded. Then the french president said "we'll always allow these comics, it's freedom of expression/speech and important for our society" Now some muslim countries started boycotting France and it just looks like more and more conflict. Also interesting though that Erdogan etc. for example don't criticise and boycott China for their "re-education camps" etc. How can this all be resolved?
  16. What if they don't want to live in a free country because they think it's less/not enough stable? Same goes for Russians and Russia etc.
  17. Nah they have a lot of soft power with hollywood etc. too. Also tech
  18. have you done some guided vypassana/silent etc. retreats before?
  19. She certainly seems a bit less extreme than her father but she's still pretty extreme. Maybe she's also acting more tame, throwing her father out etc. to make her more "electable" But maybe @Shin could tell us more about it, i don't know that much. But also these right wing populists in Europe can be supported by outside forces like Russia, China and even the US. Because they don't like to see a strong united E.U. Trump and Bannon etc. were very happy about Brexit for example.
  20. haha nah relax, you knew he'd never give up or accept a loss
