@Leo Gura Does that mean we can not have any awakenings? -
Posts like this may fit into the ‘no recruiting’ rule of this forum; you may be asked to take it down or it may be locked. You may be able to direct message others to talk outside of this forum though; I think that is allowed, uncertain. Also, in reference to your aspirations of starting a new group, for those that are younger: How can someone else hold you accountable, truly? Would you not have to grant them that ability? What is stopping you from taking that power away from them as you have taken it from yourself? Consider who really can or can not make you do anything. What would make someone else report to you for accountability?

Online, there are tests to see what your learning type is (auditory, visual, kinesthetic, etc.) Knowing this helps me. I am an auditory learner and I need not take notes for the most part. I just listen carefully and if it’s juicy, I listen again and maybe again. Maybe you are different though. Perhaps you’ll need to draw out visualizations or make hands on exercises. Nonetheless I think one of those online tests would be good to concrete your dominant learning style and figure out some personal learning styles. Take a couple maybe.

I listened while I was driving. While listening I found it rather easy to abandon past rationalizations and imagine they never existed. It was very, very fun. Once I got home, I smoked a bit of weed and ran through what was said again. I was no longer driving and could consider it all more. I wouldn’t say I was scared but I get into these trances where I like to pace. So I paced for about a half an hour. Pacing helps me think - but all I could think - chronologically - was first : everything is an idea. I couldn’t look, hear, sense, feel - anything that wasn’t produced as a thought. Then I felt retarded. Still do actually. It’s the only way to put it. But I continue to pace, feeling slightly unsettled; considering I’m completely alone. Among other strange considerations like knowing everything is an idea but I don’t actually understand why or anything more at all. I just felt my vision, my everything - as a singular idea. Nonetheless I continued to pace, bouncing between just generally saying ‘it’s fucking beautiful’ and then pointing out ‘distinct’ things like my blender; it’s beautiful. Everything around me, I had realized before but more so now, I realized is for me. For love. The box of a house I live in. My clothes, food, money - EVERYTHING. So beautiful. I don’t understand it at all. I, even having watched the video yesterday, even not being high on weed right now - feel so loved. Tears actually came to my eye writing this. I’m so lost and confused - but it’s all just so pretty. Thank Me you’re all here ????

@Mvrs You must love yourself and turn your attention inward to experience the answers to your questions personally. I can open a bunch of doors, and maybe that’ll happen in just a moment here, but you decide if you walk through. Your physical body will die, but you will live on. How did it feel before you were born? That is how to will feel when you die. Certainly beyond words that feeling. I like to imagine it’s like opening your eyes from a deep sleep somewhere other than home; you forgot where you were but you remember now. -

There is no such thing as ‘unawareness.’ Even in the sentence ‘There is something I am completely unaware of,’ for example, there is still an awareness. Like physics says, essentially, ‘there is no such thing as cold, only lack of heat.’ Awareness=Heat in this analogy. So, basically, ‘there’s no such thing as unawareness, only lack of awareness.’ But even if we could become completely unaware of EVERYTHING all at once - there’d be NOTHING left to be aware of; we wouldn’t even know it happened. Just although what if EVERYTHING became 10x bigger - would you actually notice anything getting bigger? -

Perhaps there is not much thought done with words anymore. -

I agree, everything is imagined! But if everything is imagined is anything really imagined ? If everything gets bigger at the same time, did anything really get bigger ? -

I pieced this together quite recently myself. In Leo’s enlightenment series he mentioned how enlightenment means we have ‘No-Self.’ It’s not that we don’t physically exist, it’s not that we hadn’t had prior experience- for example - it’s just that any thought about ourselves is ultimately imaginary. What we think about ourselves is imaginary. Who am I? Is imaginary. This came as a shock to me until I read a response Leo posted to someone on the forum awhile back. ‘There is a self, just the infinite self.’ If you take an infinity of numbers (all of the positive numbers infinitely one way and all the negative numbers infinitely one way) and add them all together - they will equal out to 0. So there is a self, the infinite self. It’s just that the infinite self is also the ‘no self.’ -

One of the best things I’ve ever heard Leo say is ‘You have to be skeptical of your skepticism.’ Some personally examples of doing that is asking myself questions about why I’m asking questions. It’s simpler than it sounds. Ex: Why did I choose to question this topic? Do I have some bias or reason for questioning this topic? What is my history with this topic/could my history with this topic have caused the feeling of needing to question it/be skeptical of it? Questions like this allow me to become conscious of why I am skeptical of something. Sometimes I find out I don’t need to be skeptical and I’m over thinking, sometimes I feel I’ve already used a sufficient amount of skepticism and remain content or sometimes I realize I do have a reason to be skeptical about something and I keep question it. Ultimately I think it’s good to worry about being gullible - just moderately and with consideration.. -
@Yog Your response is much appreciated and articulated multiple points of which I could not have yet articulated but ‘hit the spot’ I was looking for in this topic. Considering your mentioning of having been a conservative, I have some follow of questions if you do not mind. What made you individually realize the limitations of your conservatism? Lastly, I’m very interested in your response to: When you were a conservative, how would you have liked to be treated/introduced to concepts the challenged your beliefs? Much thanks

I am interested in some reference points regarding the, generalized, ‘Conservative Mind.’ Not specific criticisms, observations, opinions, etc. General pointers to things such as: typical Spiral Dynamics stage(s), typical 9 Stages of Ego development stage(s), common thought patterns, use of rational, etc. Good and Bad things. Background: I am from the U.S. and am referring, mainly, to American Conservatism; I am open to international examples still. Lastly, I have heard Leo and others mention this ‘Conservative Mind’ before. The idea of it doesn’t seem too far fetched - there’s ’liberal mind’ too and, while I can always learn more, I am more familiar with it having grown up around it. I am trying to gather more patterns of Conservatism/better understand it. Currently the only patterns I have gathered, briefly described, are: Tendency towards conspiracy theories and Stage blue/Stage Orange SD. Thank you! Feel free to post links, memes, suggestions, etc. Whatever you think genuinely embodies conservatism for better or worse.

@soos_mite_ah Fair enough. Wasn’t trying to sound close minded. I tried it and honestly it was pretty accurate. Just don’t know how or why. Maybe placebo. Maybe the universe is just messing with me. Maybe it is accurate lol. I’m not really sure about it. -

You guys believe this stuff actually does something for us? Am I missing something? -
yetineti replied to Eren Eeager's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
No problem. You got excited from just imagining the video. You just got a ‘boost’ from imagining a video that you hope will, once it’s actually made by Leo, give you a ‘boost.’ But it’s not even made yet. You don’t even know what it would entail. Yet just imagining, whatever it is you hope to get out of that video, gave you a boost. The irony is you actually already have to have an idea of what it is you want to get out of that video - to get what you wanted out of that video. That same idea that just got you excited thinking about it. What’s that idea? What do you seek? Notice how you can answer those questions internally. So do you really need a new video to give you a boost if all you had to do was imagine that you’d be getting that boost? What if for the next 30 days you just imagined you’d be getting that boost. How excited would you be then? -
yetineti replied to Eren Eeager's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Abdelghafar @DreamScape @Leo Gura Obviously there was a goofy emoji put with this but I wouldn’t pass it as a joke. Just the imagining of the video, not even an actual video, brought excitement. Leo pointed to something powerful there. -
I second this
