So I want to talk about a phenomenon I observe quite often in my everyday life. Here and threr I meet individuals who just have a certain "glow" in their eyes. Its really difficult to describe, but I think everyone knows what I am talking about. It usually comes with certain qualities in their personality that others would describe as charismatic, but thats not true in every case. Also, there does not seem to be a correlation with grades of spiritual awakening/conciousness, since I see this in everyday joes, hardcore scientists but also spiritual masters. People with this attribute usually have some kind of magnetic pull to them. I remember meeting a woman with those kind of eyes coupple of years ago and for some reason, I couldnt take my gaze off her. It was like she could see into my soul, which was scary as fuck to be honest. She wasnt "good looking" in the usual sense, but there was something that captured my attention. I tried to explain this phenomenon to myself dozen of times: - Maybe its just a physiological thing, a higher humidity in their eyes, coupled with a certain muscular tone in the surrounding area. - A certain shape/expression that is hardwired in our reptilian brain, so that it makes us focus on it. - Maybe some spiritual explanation Have you experienced that? What is your explanation for it? It is a really interesting phenomenon in my opinion! Here are some examples that clarify my points: Rasputin (Cult leader, basically) Yogananda( Yoga master) Marshall Applewhite (cult leader) Robert Oppenheimer (Phycisist) Timothy Leary (psychodelic revolutioner)

Used to watch all the "Dawkins owns creationist" compilations on youtube! Fun stuff I have to admit Still think he is an incredible smart human being who wants the best for people and the world in general. Sadly, he is very rigid in his ways, which prevents him from opening his mind to new possibilities. Hopefully he will take psychodelics at least once before he dies! I cant really be mad at him though! I found out about this whole spiritualty-thing by complete chance and in a period where I had a very open mind. Others, including almost all my friends, didnt have that luck. -
Positive thinking is a tool. Tools can be used in a healthy and in an unhealthy way. You can delude yourself to an extent where your life basically goes downhill into the abyss, while you tell yourself how good everything is. Your subconcious mind doesnt really care about your concious efforts of thinking positively. What I also see in some "always positive" personalities is some kind of fakeness and non authenthic being. We have a full spectrum of emotions and sometimes the "positive" ones are not the right ones for dealing with a certain situation. Where it does grandiose work is reframing in my opinion. You get fired from your job: A great way to get over this is to reframe the situation in a positive way AND then take action from that point.

Act as if, everything else wont take you anywhere. Life is mysterious in many ways and nobody knows how it all works behind the scenes. Not even all the enlightened masters. -

Not everybodys life sucks. Some peoples life sucks more than others. Everyone starts from a differnet place, mentally and with different circumstances. There is literally nothing else to do than trying to transform. Maybe you have been the luckiest motherfucker out there in one of your previous lifes and chose a hard path in this one. Maybe what I just said is bullshit, idk. Nevertheless, you gotta try everything. In this day and age, there is so much potentially helpful information out there - so get your life in order. There is a way. There are many ways. -
I understand you Nivsch, been there, done that! Nobody in here will give you a satisfying answer, so stop looking for one. The only way to find out is to do the exercises and find the answers for yourself. I am not aware of anything at the moment, but I am doing the exercises. I will remain agnostic until I find more clues. Anything else is bullshit. Greetings

I dont know that. I doubt anybody here knows that really. People just talk in fantastic riddles. But here is what an enlightened one thinks about it - hope that helps. -

Nature loves courage. Take responsibility for everything in your life. Act as if you have control and try not to think about it anymore. Anything else is mental gymnastics. Most of the answers you will read here will confuse you even more. -
Nobody in here will diagnose you correctly. There are at least 10 explanations I can think of that can cause the situation you are currently experiencing. All you need to know is that the problem is not friends but you. If you really are a high value person, you will attract others into your life. Maybe the problem is value, maybe social skills, maybe lack of good people in your enviroment. The diagnosis is up to you. Take a hard look at yourself and your life. Dont judge your friends like you just did. Understand, accept & tolerate. Dont be a bitch. Do something. IF you ask me, you seem like a person who is quite unrelateable and difficult to bond with. I dont know you though, so this could be completely bullshit! Thats everything you need to know. Everything else will confuse you.

I drink (in fact, I am hungover right now as I am writing this). I smoke hookah every other weekend. I have a lot of simply pleasured, deep blue/orange(spiral dynamcis) friends I love to hang out with. I go out at nights with the sole purpose of picking up hot chicks. I watch TV (rarely though). I watch the news. I use social networks daily. I just spent the last 5 days playing World of Warcraft classic for 16+ hours/day trying to get my mage server first 60. I grew up in a deep blue-centric (spiral dynamics) surrounding. I love to gossip with my friends. We have a really dark & unmature sense of humour. I want to look good, dress well & its important for me to make an impression . I enjoy pop culture. Sometimes I eat a 30 inch pizza on my own. I am not enlightened. I am not perfect and I still suffer sometimes (even though its not bad at all). I am fit as fuck. I eat a mostly plant based, whole foods diet. I meditate daily. I am currently implemanting a yoga routine. I read a lot of books/audiobooks about spirituality and other self actualization stuff. I am about to become a medical doctor. I have a great relationship with my parents. I am aware of non-duality. I have had coupple of realizations. I experiment with psychodelics. I have a lot of great friends I love to spent time with. I have 2-3 friends who are highly concious, I enjoy them as much as my lower conciousness friends (Topics of discussion are quite different though). I watch Leo Gura videos. I have had moments of awe lately where I almost begin to cry because of how beautiful this life & reality is. I am really happy (most of the time). Becoming more concious doesnt mean anything particular, dont let people fool you. Yes, your habits might change, but thats because you want them to change. It puts the steering wheel of your life into your hands. You can become an elightened master who likes fucking trannies with a strap-on after the 6th Tequila sunrise and 2 lines of coke. Its not likely, but it exists. A lot of people (not all obviously) here on this forum have quite a miserable life. Dont take advice from them. You actually know what to do, but your emotions/thoughts get in the way. Personally, I just want to enjoy/experience & ultimately play this video game of life and this is definitely easier to do so, with a certain level of conciousness. Thats why I do this work. Greetings -

Hey man, fellow german here! I will give you some advice regarding existential questions and the actualized.org forums: 1) Dont take anything you are told in here face value! Even though its undeniable that there are some real sincere seekers roaming around this forum, the vast majority of people answering just have a very basic understanding of the topic. Its basically a pareto-distribution, so only a tiny amount of people actually have a clue what they are talking about. The rest, and I dont mean this in a mean way, is taking part in a process I call "Guru-rehash". So, read everything respectfully, think about it, but dont rely on anyone or anything in the spiritual community. 2) Even enlightened masters seem to have "different answers" to those questions. Ever wonderd what the enlightened masters think about topics like "dying", "rebirth" or "soul". Well, look it up: Beside the one thing they all agree on, namely oneness, there is not much agreement on those topics. Sadhguru says he decided to incarnate himself as human the 3rd time in row now, because he wants to help people. Other spiritual leaders critizized him for claiming that. I dont know who is right, but neither do people on this forum. It seems like there is just one thing they all agree on as I said. Funny thing is that there is actually quite a lot of bitch fighting between some of the spiritual masters (e.g Osho & Kirshnamurty) - not very enlightened and egoless if you ask me. 3) Find out for yourself Contemplate, take psychodelics, meditate! Take input from other people, but never face value. The only person who can answer such questions is you. Dont fall into the same trap a lot of people in here are caught in. So much delusion, so little common sense. Be smarter! PM me if you have any questions! (Remember, if its easier for you in german, I am german) -
Yeah, at the end, the one thing to be sure of, is that reality is unbelievably weird. The more I learn about different stuff (i.e psychodelics, quantum mechanics, enlightenment, siddhis... and of course science) the more I realize that I dont know shit about anything. I try to become more an more open minded while still remaining a skeptic in some way. I think you are quite similar to that. I am a MD, so I know what you are talking about the concern that "enlightenment" strips away certain aspects of life or science. I had the same concerns for my field of expertise but that fear is baseless.

Look my friend I havent had any enlightenment experience in my life so far and I am currently not navigating into that direction either. Yet there is undoubtably "something" that people like Leo or the mystics experience on a regular basis which changes the whole game for them. This is my starting point and this should be yours too. If you really want to know what the fuck they are talking about, take their advice and try it out. If you really want answers as bad as air to breathe, then go find them for yourself, using their blueprint. There is no way around this. I realized long time ago that fundamental discussion with people on this forum are not very fruitful. This is not the right place for discussion and in my mind there are 2 possible reasons for this: 1. They know/experience something you dont and you should show some humility towards the seemingly ungraspable nature of reality. 2. They are all deluded fucks and all this is bullshit. Stop challenging their world-view, trust me. You wont get the intellectual discussion you are waiting for. You need to find it out for yourself, that is the only way you will get a satisfying answer.

You, my friend, need to get your life in order before doing more of the deeper stuff. This sounds like real depression to me and this forum is definitely not the right place to treat that. There seem to be a lot of unmet needs in your life like basic friendship, realatioship, sex etc. - so in my opinion, those are things you have to solve first. I was at a similar point once. Go visit a psychotherapist/psychoanalys if you are not already doing that. If needed, you can take an antidepressive drug to get over this depressive episode. A lot of people, especially on this forum, will tell you SSRI's are bullshit and maybe you have this opinion too but this is such an one-sided view of that matter and ignores all the good things it can do for people. Get better, wish you all the best!

Found this video couple of years ago and always thought its fake. Yet the more I got into actualized.org and some of the stuff Dean Raddin is talking about, the more I am aware that I know nothing Looks incredible to me:
-
I know those LMS videos. They are the direct correlate to all the "You can get any woman you want and looks dont matter" bs on the other side of the spectrum. Its way too narrow minded and superficial for a huge topic like attraction. The truth lies somewhere between those extreme point of views and there is really not more to say about this because anyone with an ounce of rational thinking knows the difference.

Is it really that easy though to say "good" or "bad" doest exist? At least if you take a contextional approach: I mean clearly, if you become higher conciousness you extend your views on serverel issues and see them from angles you have never been before. Even if in the end, everything is a unity, there are still value propositions along the way. Non-suffering is better than suffering. Not killing someone is better than murder. Pollution is worse than a clean world. Tribal warfare is stupid. The higher you get up the spiral, the wider your conciousness becomes, the more "bad" things you are able to see. If we dont have any compass at all, there would be chaos. Maybe I am wrong though - this is a new territory for me!

The notion I get from someone who is "always positive" is a person who has completely lost touch with reality. I mean what does it even mean to be always positive? Is it standing at your parents grave with a smile on your face, trying to get something good out of the death of a loved one? What about a doctor who has to tell a mother that her son didnt make it? Negative emotions are part of life in my opinion and resisting them is the wrong way. I cant speak for enlightened people though since I have no clue what this would mean for someone like that. I am talking about 99,99% of the people with such attitude, who try to hide behind this fassade because of some dragon lurking in the depths. Of course, this is not everyone - there are a lot of people who are just very positive without any hidden demons - but it comes from somewhere else. The same goes for always neagtive people of course.

Yes, I do! Political decisions are going to affect my life, even if I dont want them to. I spend about 10 minutes a day browsing through my news-app on my cellphone - thats more than enough time to get a picture of whats going on. Its true that too much of that can potentially fuck you up but I believe that if you are mindful and open minded enough, this shouldnt happen.

Whats your opinion on all the "woo-woo" you can find in the spiritual enviroment? Did your rational mind ever had problems with this?

If you cant relate to the masses, you will never be a leader. As I got into this whole personal developement stuff some years ago, I fell into the same hole. I ditched my friends, gave up on "low conciousness" activitives and focused on the "important work". Yet what happened was that I ultimately became very, very sad. I ditched people I actually liked as friends, great people - who were just not interested into the same stuff or journey. I actually looked down at those guys, not realizing that I was just harming myself with this kind of behaviour. So finally I came to this point where I didnt know what to believe anymore - On the one side I missed all my old friends and the activities, on the other side the thinker of this thoughts doesnt exist - so what now? I followed my heart and got back on the right tracks: Returning to my old social circle, doing the personal developement work in private and adding its fruits to my day to day life. I balanced my life out and this is what personally makes me the happiest

Hey guys, Charisma is one of the topics that interests me the most when it comes to social dynamics and human psychology. I have read several books about it and I work hard to become more charismatic in my everyday life - its think its just a huge tool to make people feel good around you or adding massive positive value while still getting into the right direction for success and leadership. Its also works wonders with women which is definitely another factor for me why it want to work on this. So my question for you is the following: What are your experiences with charismatic people? Whats are the most important character traits to work on? What is your opinion? Curious for your answers, undeather

If you really want to become an alpha male you first have to get your "inner game" fixed! You cant "fake" being alpha by just working, on your vocal tonality before developing some basic core traits! Core confidence, high self esteem and entitlement are the fundament of every alpha male. Most people, especially if you had some bad reference experiences in your childhood or teenage years, have problems with this basic principles - so this is what you should focus on first before going further in the process. IF you think you are the shit and go through life with this feeling that nothing can stop you, a lot of what people perceive as alpha will ensue. Your body language will be better, your expressivness will be different - people in general will react differently to you. Of coruse this is not the whole deal and there is a lot to work on afterwards - but this is the core and fixing this is inevitable. After that you can go further and work on everything else mentioned in this thread.
