why not write your own marriage contract using a lawyer and perhaps renew your vows obligations and commitments every 5 years instead of having the state tell you this is how it is done and you are locked in for life (you might say i miss out on the financial breaks etc offered to those who are married, in that case marry to satisfy the state but write into your contract that the one you created is the framework that prevails over and supercedes the one the state issues)
