Which is exactly what makes you a devil, devil. (sorry for pulling a Leo ?)
-
Or don't, for it will not make any difference at all.

You wouldn't feel bad unless you'd think about it. Even if you'd experience pain or physical illness, it wouldn't feel bad unless you think about it.

And that's exactly the problem. The ego is grounded in the fear of not-knowing, and the whole trick is to create an illusion of knowing. Not good enough. Let alone not accurate at all, at least from my experience. The best moments in my life have always been the moments that I discover truths about myself and my self-deceptions. But back to "not good enough", because it's very superficial understanding that is still grounded in the ego which is the object of the questioning in the first place. How are you ever gonna break out of the ego with more ego? See it doesn't work like that. You have to examine exactly how the ego is constructed and how it values different things and on what basis, and then question all of those. You have to watch the ego creating and grounding itself right in every moment to see how it is tricking you. At some point, it will become naked and groundless to even think a thought about reality. It all will become a cosmic joke how the trick is being played on you before your eyes. It's not hard though. It just takes acute awareness.

@randomguy123 It is explained in the book that the third eye is not actually a pinpointed spot, but rather a tunnel that connects the forehead to the back of the head. Idk that maybe worth mentioning. Good luck.

Good answer, and it's worthy of more digging. The ego grounds itself in memory and anticipation of future. But the ego is limited and only knows very little compared to infinity. Very little means close to nothing. So the ego is in fact betting its life on nothing, yet it thinks it's betting on everything. I'll leave it here if you want to continue on your own. You lost because in that case it would feel good to not pay close attention. Pay, now.

Projection of the month ??

Revenge feels good, even though a lot of times it could be stemming from a simple misunderstanding. A lot of our feelings actually stem from simple misunderstandings. So how can you say such things?
-
My point is still not getting across. Yes, all of that is right and everything. But I'm not asking "why?". I'm asking "what?". What is it that makes something "good" and another "bad"? And by "what" here, I don't want you to tell me that it's the ego. Yes, it is the ego. But what are the ego's justifications for making those judgements? What is it exactly that defines good and bad for the ego? What does the ego use to discriminate? And on what basis? I know it's survival. But how does the ego know what will survive it? And on what basis? You see what I'm saying? This is a very deep and advanced inquiry, and you may not come out the same person afterwards.

Belongs here.

@Someone here My question is more about the technical definitions of good and bad though. How do "you" or whatever, define good and bad? Where is the line? Why is life good and death bad? Based on what are we judging? Etc...

Still sounds vague to me. I can't think of any OCD that has to do with hatred so I can't offer anything. Can you give us some specifics if possible?

@Leo Gura You should make a new avatar similar to this: Logic Overlord™ sounds great too.

There's a mental condition called "detachment disorder" where people can become apathetic and insensitive. https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/emotional-detachment Not sure about your request though. I don't think a human can grow up without emotions. I think they're necessary for growth. But I don't think that emotions are an original feature from birth. They probably develop over time through conditioning, similar to Pavlov's dog experiment. -
Ahhhh I just remembered this iconic Actualized video: Good old days ❤️❤️❤️

Kids don't understand love nor humor. It would cause more harm than good to treat them that way (not really sure about that though). But we are adults and we should take responsibility for our feelings and be able to deal with anything life throws at us. If one cannot take a few harsh words, then he's too soft for real life. Still, by no means I'm justifying Leo's attitude. Ultimately, you shouldn't need to call people names or criticize or even try to teach others or change the world. But "ultimately" is not here yet, and Leo has been dealing with harsh comments for years so it's really understandable that he's used to them and that they probably don't trigger him at all, so he doesn't expect them to trigger others that much. To him, it probably feels normal, maybe even a necessary spice for conversations. It shouldn't be very different from a trauma that gets stored in the body. I assume the difference is that Leo is not holding it back but instead is releasing it. So it'll probably take a few more years until he's totally over that attitude. He says that he is deliberately making his comments harsh but I highly doubt it. I think he could not stop himself if he wanted to. It would not feel right to him. He says that we should develop a sense of humor, and I get it. But that's him deflecting the truth of the matter and returning it onto us (rightfully so) instead of doing inner reflection. It's all fine though, and there's no need to do anything about anything. We're all just a bunch of inevitabilities playing out.

Why would I want more shit factories in my life?! One is more than enough.

This one thing in particular I love about Leo. He is bro'ing you. That's the coolest thing a teacher could do if you ask me. It's a feature, not a bug. Other teachers treat you like a baby, Leo treats you like a bro and as an equal.

That's just more mind. Not my thing. Sorry.
-
I proposed that question to highlight a different truth. To me, there's no dilemma because there's no morality to being with. We create our moral codes and then give them authority over our lives. That's what the mind always does. It creates problems that it cannot solve. Discard the mind, and there will be no problems. Simple as that.
