  1. The more you ponder about infinity and its implications. the closer you get to the answer to your question. Reality whether you think it is something or nothing has always been this way and will always remain this way, it is an endless loop. The way I personally think about it is that creation is happening in every single moment. The only constant is creation. and it will last forever.

  2. @Red-White-Light I agree with you in our current state of consciousness we cannot deny the dualistic nature of reality, however. I believe it can be transcended. Since you reject pseudoscience and prefer rational and scientific ways to discover this truth. I highly recommend you read the book by   G. Spencer-Brown - Laws of forms If you haven't read it already. It is free if you google it.

  3. @Red-White-Light I understand from what you have written that you have used the boat to cross the river. you have had all those experiences, mystical and nirvanic realms. you are passionate about the truth, but if you want to go further, you must drop the boat. give up all the things you think you know. give up all your conclusions, become like a child raising a finger to touch the moon. start questioning everything, every belief about who you think you are, about every object around you in the room. don't trust any authority. what you will find after you do this your brain becomes very sensitive, a free brain will become an extremely powerful tool to aid you to discover what is true. you are very close because frustration is a sign that your ego is dying. be still and know. surrender yourself and the Truth will come to you naturally.

  4. It is confirmed now that reality is but a hallucination by your brain, what you are experiencing is a neurological experience, in the back of your head. But if it is all in your brain, then what is your brain? In order for there to be a brain, there must be a hallucination. This whole hallucination is nothing. it is not physical, You are that nothingness, you are that hallucination. Therefore it is safe to say as a concession that you are creating it. Psychedelics, as others have said, may help you realize this whole process. But the deep investigation into the nature of perception, and self-inquiry will inevitably help you achieve this state of awareness.

will consciousness work ruin my desire for material success or will it maybe even help me achieve my materialistic goals.

The exact opposite is true, the only way consciousness work might ruin your materialistic goals is reaching a level of fulfillment and happiness due to your true nature unveiling, which might make some goals obsolete and useless, only true goals that ensure your survival will not be affected.

i still want to do consciousness work like Meditation, especially Shamanic breathing and maybe even psychedelics when I pass 20.

I would suggest formal mindfulness meditation and abiding awareness of the breath throughout your day rather than psychedelics because it may be too distracting.

  6. @Andrey_U The voice in your head is an illusion, The sound of it is real, but the content or the meaning of the voice is an illusion, it is just noise, even the speaker behind the voice is illusory, he is a concept. You can inquire into that and see it for yourself.

That is why it annoys you and disrupts your peace. because it is an illusion.

Realize that the source of the voice in the head and the content of it is itself from thought, Thought being created. Splitting itself in two, The thinker and the thought, The meditator and the meditation, The speaker and the voice, me and the voice, All those are just more thoughts.

For example. let's say you are trying to meditate now. You sit down, You hear a voice saying "now should I keep my awareness in my body or should I focus on the breath?". Gently recognize this pattern is a very subtle thought in action. there is still me inside

Another example is:( Ok, I will watch my thoughts and recognize them, Ok that is a thought, that is another thought). this pattern is very tricky too. Gently recognize it and just become aware of it. Become aware of how the "you" are trying to watch the thought.

You will feel like you are trapped in an endless strange loop of observing yourself, That is when you know it is working!

You will become like a blank paper, The only voice of this blank paper is silence. Understand deeply that the voice in the head, thoughts, sensations, all of those are not you, these are modulations emerging from this blank paper.

Your only and true goal here is to understand the mechanism of it, Don't try to quiet it down, Don't try to have a peaceful state because remember all those are thoughts, thoughts trying to become permanently happy and peaceful. All techniques boil down to this understanding.

  7. A very helpful tip would be to realize that whenever you feel like you are doing it wrong or some chatter happens. Notice how the thoughts in your head split themselves in two, the one trying to meditate, and the meditation, both are thoughts, the experiencer, and the experience of peace or calmness. The goal of meditation is to see the pattern of thought(There is no observer, only observation happening within consciousness) . how you create your ego. after that you realize that there is an awareness of the process of thought creating an image of you. then explore that awareness without the help of the knowledge you accumulated. you will notice that you become very present during that process. You will experience much greater peace and it will last longer each time you enter that state of awareness.

And remember whatever the Technique is, it is always directing you to realize the pattern in which the illusory self gets created by thought. whether it is breathing, noting, etc.

  8. I would say make mindfulness as your primary goal, or whatever tradition you are following, but if we take mindfulness as an example you will have two flavours of practicing, formal meditation and practice in daily life, So in each case you really shouldn't worry about getting married or not, if you really pursue enlightenment, then in case you don't get married you will be lonely, you can make mindfulness as your primary goal in approaching the feeling of loneliness, If you eventually get married you should also make mindfulness as your primary goal in approaching the numerous problems and situations you will be put in. So both cases will be beneficial in your process of waking up. In my experience, If you put your full attention in your goal, it will come smoothly. I guarantee that you will not feel the burden of raising a family if you are truly mindful all day.

Also to throw in some wisdom from the bible : 31“Do not worry then, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ or ‘What will we drink?’ or ‘What will we wear for clothing?’ 32“For the Gentiles eagerly seek all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. 33“But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.34“So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

    Consciousness will liberate me.

Realize that anxiety and depression are reactions of the body reacting to events from the past, or fear of the future, which means you are caught in the illusion of time. Thinking itself is a mechanism that works only relatively to the past and future. A deep inquiry is required to gain an insight into time and reaction which will inevitably free you from anxiety and depression.

    Here is a quote from J.Krishnamurti :

    Quote

    K: “What is thinking?

Thinking is a response, is a reaction to memory.
If you had no memory you wouldn’t be able to think.

Memory is stored in the brain as knowledge
and knowledge which has come through experience.

    Listen carefully to this.

This is how our brain operates. The speaker is not a brain expert. Not a neurological expert.

You can watch it, how you act for yourself without going to any professor. Without any psychologist and so on.

You can watch the operation of your own brain.

First experience. That experience may have been from the beginning of man which we have inherited.

That experience gives knowledge. Then that knowledge is stored up in the brain.

From knowledge there is memory and from that memory —thought. From thinking you act!

    Right?

So from that action you learn. more...

    So you repeat the cycle.

    You understand?

    Experience>knowledge>memory>thought>action

From that action learn more and repeat.

    You follow this?

So this is, being programmed. We are always doing this. Having remembered pain, future to avoid pain and not do the thing that will cause pain which becomes knowledge.

    Repeat that.

    Sexual pleasure

    Repeat that (crowd laughs)

This is the movement of thought.

    Please this is clear

See the beauty of it. How mechanically thought operates. And thought says to itself, “I am free to operate.” Thought is never free because it’s based on knowledge. And knowledge is always limited.

    Obviously

Just watch it, please carefully watch it. Knowledge must be always limited because knowledge is part of time.

    Right

I will learn more, and to learn more I must have time.

    Right

I do not know Russian but I’ll learn Russian. It will take me six months or a year whatever time. So knowledge is the movement of time. So time, knowledge and thought and action. In this cycle, we live. So thought is limited

    Obviously

So what ever action thought does must be limited. And any form of limitation of thought must create conflict.

Anything that is limited must be divisive. That is if I say I’m a Hindu or an Indian that’s living limited.

That limitation brings about not only corruption but conflict. Because use of say —I’m a Christian, I’m a Buddhist, I’m this which is limitation. So there is conflict between us.

So what ever is limited and thought is always limited because knowledge and ignorance always go together.

And thought is the child of knowledge. And therefore it’s limited and whatever its action is... that action must be limited and therefore it must bring conflict.

And our life from birth to death is a series of struggles and conflict. And we are always trying to escape from that conflict which again becomes another conflict.

So we live and die in this perpetual endless conflict and we never ask the root of that conflict which is thought because thought is limited. Please don’t say, “how am I to stop thought?”

    That’s not the point.

The point is to understand the nature of thought
