Everything is nothing -
@creator20 There are many possible reasons. Men in general do compete with each other alot. If you give a masculine vibe that could trigger his competitive mode. In that mode it's mostly about winning an interaction.

Some might qualify themselves because they feel small compared to you, maybe.

I think we have an idea of more cultivated sports and of more primitive sports. The primitive ones can be needed as that is the only way for many to feel deep emotions. That could be boxing and soccer and to some degree basketball. On a higher level we become the airy beings who don't wrestle in the mud. This seems to be the goal for the spiritual people. In the middle field I would go with badminton. It is the most popular sport in Asia. It's fun and it's not that primal. Somebody has to build a machine so one can play it alone too. Also playing basketball alone or just for fun could be in that field. Basketball is quite an artificial sport that was created as far as I know to have a therapeutical effect. I try to play everyday a bit on my own. It's amazing for mood management specially with music.

I agree and am on that team too. The right answers to almost all questions seem to be: 1. It's complicated 2. I don't know

Well from the European perception they are shockingly different people. Maybe britsh people might be an exception.

@Opo Funny how I could forget the answer to this question. It's so true.

If the riots are severe so lives are in danger and people in the city feel like they need your help to defend themselves, I can accept it. Specially when the police doesn't do anything about it. On the other hand if some left wing rioters just burn some garbage on the street for a while then no. It depends on the situation.

Have a better society so quality people want to do the job.
-
If they cross the line and become really dangerous then maybe. Depends always on the specific situation.
-
@Jennjenn Well he obviously didn't resist and complied with orders. That is a good start I guess. Resisting police is a bad idea in many cases in the US.
-
Depends on the situation. If you get attacked and kill it's a different story.
-
Depends on the level of violence of the rioters. The riots in our case proved to be quite violent:

Well USA is quite Exceptional (meaning different than others). That's their tradition. Nothing new here. As long as he tries to end the forever wars it's not the worst thing in the world I guess.

I guess they know what is going on on the street. He was capitulating he was giving himself in. I would have assumed that myself I guess. You can guess who is a threat and who is not by his behaviour.
-
I guess because the boy does not want to kill the police but supports them plus the boy tries to do the job that the cops are not allowed to do Imho.
-
No because he didn't defend property and lives.
