You make it sound like it matters. Like your identity is dependent on the moon's existence.

It's possible that the moon gets hit by a massive meteor while you're not looking. Who knows?

What do you know other than right now? Literally nothing.

You did not get it, did you.. where did i say it matters? i just wanted an answer.

Finger pointing to the moon, my man :x

Ofc the finger ain't the moon.

Shiva's analogy here is clearly tailored toward someone locked in materialism, thus it is a partial truth.

You can't bust out anekantavada on a materialist, they will reject it immediately xD

So the moon wont be there if you dont look at it?

First of all, cite your sources. You may be bastardizing this finding, and none of us will know that unless you are transparent about your claims.

Secondly, just because there are correlations between the brain and what you may call mystical experiences, that is NOT "proof" that the brain causes states of consciousness.

Correlation is not causation. Basic statistics. You learn this in high school.

Never heard anyone with no brain activity have any kind of "spiritual" experience.

No amount of psychedelics can help so long as the person maintains the context of "it's all just wacky stuff happening in the brain." That materialist anchor must be challenged until it is realized that the brain was merely a conceptual fabrication.

Of course it takes radical openmindedness to even take such a possibility seriously. It just does not occur to most people that their brain could be a hallucination. Let alone all of material reality, let alone their birth as a self.

This is radical work we're doing here folks. The mindfuck of it is epic beyond description. It is twisted as fuck.

there is a neuroscientist with 30 year old study who found out mystical experiences and near death experiences can be triggered by stimulating certain part of the brain. the exact same thing happens when you take psychedelic (chemical).

So you are your brain in that sense.

No matter how much you trip Leo you will always come back to default self. Or you might go psychotic that is also a option.

    Haha!

Talk about casting your pearls before swine! ;)

Funny how that works. You can't get a donkey to recognize himself in the mirror no matter how much you try. How do you explain to a donkey that he's God???

    "Hey donkey, you're God!"

    Donkey: o.O

Watch out, he might bite you too!

P.S. When a guy names his channel "Unspirituality", that's your clue.

I been switching mails with Zenn for maybe a year.

He is a real deal. He is not perfect, far from it, but he is a great teacher. People don´t want to listen him because he will fuck your world up. He is brutally honest, nasty, friendly, loving, human. He is the full spectrum of humanism.

Left hand path and new age does not mix well.

He has had the most powerfull kundalini awekening (human metamorphosis) and has talked about how he has had pretty much every textbook spiritual "state" and experience. He also started his path 35 years ago. Experience matters in everything. He knows what is what and has no shame.

Some days I don’t want to do shit. My perception of time slows and my energy levels drop.

I’m on the self actualization journey and I assume this is part of the path but was wondering if there are things I can do to help get through these rare but difficult days?

Look at the other animals and how they live, dont watch humans.

Listen to your body, not culture.

if i dont want to do shit or get depressed, i let it happen. I literally dont do shit. there has been few weekends when i just fucking sleep saturday and dont do shit. You will be fine in a 1-2 day if you just fucking sleep.

talking about the same science which wants to cure the cancer by chemotherapy? huh...

look at the researches that will be done in 2080! :P

it's not the matter of being enlightenment, one thing matters the most is that after being enlightened, you should tap into that realm of power to deprogram your behaviors/habits/defunctionalities... bit by bit :) unless, based on the case you provided why the heck we should even seek enlightenment? let's split! haha

    searching enlightenment is the split.

you would not search it if you felt whole. Life is too pain full = you dissociate = turn into spirituality. turning into spirituality is an attempt to heal. that is a short explanation.

I have a friendly teacher who has studied psychology and he's enlightened, sometimes I ask him my questions, he says that he sleeps only 2 hours in a week and he says that telling that enlightenment doesn't lead us to an emotional mastery is totally a nonsensical bullshit.

he will be heading to an early grave. There are people who study sleep, you might want to research that.

I know two enlightened people who are bipolar. Both of them are teachers. Both get depressed from time to time.

You have very weird ideas about enlightenment.

@Mu_  Thanks for that. I get what you're saying. Not sure why I seem to accept things on face value with it running contrary to my own experience. Thanks :)

@Richard Alpert Thanks for that, Richard. My thoughts entirely RE thinking. If I wasn't supposed to have a thinking mind, why do I? How else would I operate? I guess we have to be able to think somehow, right?

A lot of spirituality shames thinking mind and being a "flawed" human.

You don´t have to buy into it. If their followers were critical thinkers they would not have followers. They rather have vegetables as their followers.

Everybody has a thinking mind, some people might just use it less.

  10. Hi Paul, dont worry, you are doing great. Spirituality is made for to confuse people and tell stories.              THIS IS IT, no it cant be, lets make up some stories.. Lol, fucking humans :)   You don't need to buy into any nondual or buddhist philosophy or non-thinking culture. Thinking is great, you would be a vegetable without it. Look at the obviousness of your life, write on paper for example where you live, work, what you do etc if you are confused.. i know i could say there is no paul or richard but on a relative level there is and always will be. And there are no enlightened being and non enlightened beings, enlightenment is not personal

Love is a complex thing. You don't understand what Love is yet.

At stage Red that's how love looks.

Spiral dynamics is scientific model, its based on research and observation. Why should it be taken more seriously than any other science? It's in "materilistic" paradigm and science. I guess the science that fits for your worldview is reliable

It is a common theme of the most (if not all) the self books that I read and listens to, and that is THE SALESMAN. Every entrepreneur was at one point a salesman.

I know that even Leo mention that having sales skills is crucial to lead a financial freedom life ( or independence- whatever, none ever exists paradoxically, but you know what I mean).

So the questions; Should I look up for a salesman job at 29?  In my vision, that will help me grow the skills of talking and interacting with people and maybe leading to becoming an entrepreneur.

Also, my life purpose is to become an emergency nurse, but somehow that doesn't spark my feelings so much as the prospect of working in an office, surrounded by cool people and doing luxury stuff like partying and travelling.

Is this just an ego delusion?

If those are your reasons to become a salesman, i would pass. When has partying been luxury? Every bum can party.

Being a salesman is a grind, a marathon. You are not gonna get rich quick. Being a salesman is not luxurious, it is nothing you see on tv´s and movies.

5-10% of your clients will be whiners and bitches and you have to eat shit from them.

  13. Hi dude, i have experience with anxiety and ocd. Im mostly pretty good nowadays, but there Still comes harsh days.

    My recommendations are very simple:

    - dont use stimulants or alcohol

    - sleep well, early to bed early to up

    - try to have a clean diet and take care of your gut

    - exercise at least 30min a day, it doesnt have to be hard training. yoga is great for example. Spent time in the nature.

    -try to limit screen time

    - if you have time, meditate 1-2h a day. this tends to calm the mind. 1-2h a day might work better than 30min, no quarantees though

-dont have too much free time where you start ruminating and over thinking

  14. Been running my whole life.

Mostly on soccer, but i run cross country, stairs and in the track i sometimes do sprints.

I haven´t had any specific goals in years. I just try to maintain sprinting and endurance abilities. Im 32, turning 33 this year so im not gonna get any quicker in sprints. Mostly do running just to help playing soccer.

I actually played soccer in my age (under 17) group national team back in the day, 2002-2003.

@Richard Alpert Oh, yeah man and also in the spirit of the latest videos of Leo about duality if you wanna do some more homework about it in the  Mysterium Coniunctionis Jung talks about duality and how the ego is created because of it, he talks on so great lengths, also on steroids cuz its his last book before he dies and all his life wisdom goes in it and its so deep and hard to read like i its shocking. Trully, trully shocking. Terrifying book. Never saw, red, heard something like that before. The brain power the dude had it's God like.

P.S. i just red not long ago that he had a massive heart attack and had a near death experience. Cut the story short he was walking in the woods and saw a cave, he entered and saw a Yogi meditating. He than realised that that Yogi was him and he is dreaming this Carl Jung life. It is just this Yogi's dream this Carl Jung persona and when the Yogi(HE) will wake up, the Carl Jung life will end cuz all that is this Jung was just a dream. The Yogi had a dream and he thought it was a Swiss psychiatrist.

Nice. Here is one of Jung´s interview where he is 84 and still working. He was still very sharp.

In 7:45 he is asked do you believe in god and he answers "i know".
