Nothing, basically. Just the 4 encounters I´ve had with them he just treats me with disrespect and aggresively.

For example last wednesday I was going down the stairs and he was going up. He started saying, "come on come on we don´t have all day" like I was supposed to get of the way

Yes you should go live somewhere else, I remember a similiar person and they end up getting more emotionally abusive over time. Dont waste your time trying to live with him please.

  2. You need to reach your goals first to be able to begin serious spirituality. Meditating for like an hour a day while working on your goals seems like a great way to move yourself to a position where you arent missing anything in the material world and overtime become more and more serious about spirituality...

TLDR: you need both, you will be able to become more spiritual after you have your material life is sufficiently set up.

Except it obviously isn't since your baseline cannot match a peak.

You can deny the existence of peaks all you want, but that doesn't mean they ain't there. You are just sticking your head in the sand, creating the illusion that your baseline is high consciousness.

    Baseline is everything

Well both baseline and peak levels are important. You should care about both in order to develop proportionally.

But yeah, peak experiences are amazing.

I have a question for any Spiral Wizards, but specifically would love @Leo Gura's take.

How does Spiral Dynamics think about those who are at a relatively higher stage but don't have the "foundation" of lower stages?

An example of this would be young liberals in college who are devoutly Green, but grew up as such and never really understood or included the key developments of Red, Blue, and Orange.

Is this like swiss cheese Green?  Fake Green?  Unhinged Green?  This phenomenon seems quite common, and I'm wondering how to think about it.

They have been red, blue and orange when they were young. (5-10 y.o. - red, Blue; orange till they were 16-18). You make a mistake by comparing them to adults stuck in red and blue. These adults are the equivalent of being stuck in the 6th grade.

Getting triggered by stages below ≠ stages not integrated.

@Michal__ Any sources on meditation developing cognitive functioning? I always related it more so to aiding with focus, mindfulness, and growth in consciousness.

I might post some when I have the time to research it again. Concentration is cognitive function. Noting also develops cognitive function, but in a different way. When I talk about concentration I mean Jhãnas (which basically make your brain and body way healthier - most people Are unhealthy) - search Frank Yang, literally his whole face changed as a result of heavy meditation.

Also try reading after a meditation session (with concentration-oriented technique), you will absorb information like a sponge.

What kind of behavior are you after?

Upbringing is cumulative and starts out on a trivial level, e.g. such things as them saying things like "you are stupid", "he/her/mommy/daddy is stupid". Children will test you to see what goes and what does not in orde to figure out where the boundaries are. Obviously you don't succeed by regressing to getting angy at the child, yelling at him/her and saying "no you are the stupid one" or something demeaning like that. You'd sit down with the kid and explain hos that makes others feel and tune him/her into understanding what it would be like if he/her was the other person. Empathy is base to much and is cultivated, value systems are cultivated and behaviors are cumulative.

Although, people in general tend to do that. They tend to get angry. Or tend to laugh it away. And with that a different cumulative direction starts growing. Or just ignoring them.

(For the record, I have two childen, boys, whom are 17 and 19 years old now)

Take any given child that has been cultivated e.g. into a strong red for 7-8-9 years, dropped in your care is of course a whole different challenge than raising toddlers.

Thanks to @VeganAwake who sent me a video on "True Self vs Ego" it is a bit clearer to me what the difference is, however, doesn't true self imply that there is a self? With my self inquiry and a long conversation with @Leo Gura about the brain :D I came to the realization and direct experience that the true I is actually...nothing...pure awareness. Therefore, how can something without characteristics and features have desires? How can pure awareness have peace, love, passion, desires when it is just aware of those? Or am I holding myself back from just "being" which naturally comes with peace, love, passion, joy, desires (it just simply happens and you will know it with intuition) by asking too many questions? :D

If you knew it with direct experience you wouldn't ask.

@Michal__  The thing I find cool about this: It is like a sterotypical psychedelic trip that TV shows / movies / memes portray. The entire room becomes imagination land, not just fractals and morphing shapes. Might have to try it lol

Yeah, I definitely see what you mean. Go for it lol. Calling it imagination doesn't do it justice though. But I'm sure you already know that.
