  1. Never argue with stupid people. They will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience
  2. @Vibroverse Just looking for general thoughts. I don't really know enough about it to ask questions about specific areas.
  3. @StarStruck Nahhhhhh Arnold is hella different than Tate imo. He didnt human traffic. comparing that to cheating is like comparing a magnitude 10 earthquake to a magnitude 3 imo.
  4. @iceprincess I think its about getting in touch with your intuition. I think do nothing meditation can be effective.
  5. @Raze From what I've heard, some of the issues in academia at present are due to the demands placed on academics to constantly be pblishing. Meaning many have to prioritise volume of research over quality of research.
  6. @Mips It seemed to me you were just referencing the fact that he made lots of videos you thought seemed professional, without having watched most of them. If you have watched a multitude of them then my comment doesn't apply.
  7. @Victor van Rijn I liked the in-out group stuff. Captures stage green imo. Otherwise, I found it uncharitable towards the 'woke' movement and also relatively superficial. Ironically, she is being quite black and white about her rejection of the movement imo. Two more things: Firstly, she is a wealthy white women. So i'm not surprised that she says she likes former variants of the movement but not so much this one (At least that is my interpretation of it). Previous feminist movements worked in quite a similar way, its just they favoured wealthy white women to the ignorance of the interests of other classes and races of women. (See the differences between second wave feminism and later intersectional feminism). So, her interests are not as served by this new woke movement, which seeks to counter this favouritism of her demographic. Therefore, i can understand the possibility that her lack of affection for the movement, in its current form, is born out of this change. Secondly, I can't help but think this video is related to her recent cult debacle. She probably lost quite a lot of her fanbase because of it, and it now looking to expand the reach of her content. This type of video will work to pull in a more conservative leaning audience into her content and serve to refill her viewer base.
  8. @OBEler I think that study only sheds light onto a certain type of use of ketamine for mental health treatment. I know that others see it as a means of entering a state of higher consciousness which allows therapy to be much more effective during that period. It doesn't seem to me any therapy was attempted (from your post), so I'd still be interested to see a study on therapy + ket, rather than just ket.
  9. @Mips Bit of a naive mindset imo. A lot of misleading people can produce a lot of professional seeming videos. Appearances can be deceiving.
  10. @StarStruck But without the toxic aspect these other influencers are markedly different to tate. The issue with tate is his toxic aspect.
  11. @StarStruck I doubt youtube will be as accommodating for a figure like Tate on their platform from now on. So i dont agree that it'll be like a hydra.
  12. I'd like to see the point of policy that the board are using to try to revoke his license under. Until then I'm reserving judgment.
  13. @meta_male Hey mate, Perhaps humanistic psychotherapy or internal family systems therapy could be of value to you.
  14. Agree. Everything that happens is exactly what should have happened and had to happen.
  15. @DocWatts Think this is spot on. Nature abhors a vacuum. Edit: Damn dude, I watched the youngTurks vid, made me wanna cry. Generation of lost boys looking for love in all the wrong places
  16. @TheSomeBody I don't mean to dissuade you but i think its important to note that as someone aspiring to what you are doing there will be a danger to what you are doing. You are in a position of responsibility with regards to probably some vulnerable clients. The danger, to my mind, would be that you have the potential to mislead such people if you aren't effective at what you do.
  17. @Thought Art About it being hard to say what a masculine man really is. Also, I don't think its masculine to embody a feminine quality, I think that is feminine. Being a man doesn't make you masculine imo.
  18. @Molaric Imo, to be frank, I'd follow this advice more than the above pieces of advice if you're serious about overcoming it. Summary of actions steps from vid 1. Realising there's a problem and taking steps to address the addictive substance/behaviour. Keeping in mind that the addiction developed for a reason. 2. Whilst addressing the substance/behaviour we need to search for adaptive ways of stimulating the reward pathway. It may take time before your reward pathway can be activated without the addictive substance. 3. Addressing the underlying causes of the inner tension. This may entail schema therapy, psychotherapy or in some parts of the world psychedelic psychotherapy is being found to be effective.
  19. @Thought Art I disagree actually. I think the masculine penetrates reality and the feminine flows with reality. The masculine is more about control whilst the feminine is more about accepting imo.
  20. In your head, repeat the name, and over enunciate the first and last syllable of the name you want to remember. Max Huberman recommended it
  21. @Alta I think there is a difference when it comes to relationships compared to casual sex. Imo, masculine men are way more attractive to generally all women when it comes to causal sex. Its probably one of the beliefs I'm the most confident about in my life. With regards to relationships is more where i think the idea of opposite polarities attracting play out.
